Saw Mina Anwar as Shirley Valentine last night and it was such a memorable and brilliant performance.An incredibly brave undertaking to perform solo a two hour show with constant dialogue I had the pleasure of speaking to her both before and after the performance and she was an absolute delight.

The octagon is currently being renovated/ revisioned/ rebuilt. So the play I went to see,Shirley Valentine, was performed in the Bolton Library Theatre. All staff knowledgeable and uber friendly. Theatre cute but adequate . The performance was truly wonderful. I cannot recommend this production highly enough. It finishes on 29th February so hurry to see it. I took my mother in law n she adored it.

I have to say that for the first time this man is open minded on the record with regards to the premises as I have just found out that the premises has moved to a new building.
So I am open minded on the premises at this moment in time as I have never been inside the new property so I cannot comment on the new site, as I have never been inside the new property.

The cafe was nice. Theatres are usually great places to go and visit - not always busy. If you want a quiet time, head here. Great coffee. They're currently having an upgrade.

Lovely place with brilliant staff. They also put on a good theatre piece. I'm so excited to see the new building. I see it getting built every week and it is starting to look really good

Recently saw 'Beryl' , staged by the Octagon in their temporary home at Bolton Library. It was absolutely awesome, everyone of the 4 cast worked very hard and it paid off. Probably one of the best productions I have ever seen, poignant, funny and the fact it was based on a true story made it all the better.

Not only a fantastic place for theatre shows; the octagon offers great theatre classes for youngsters. My daughter has attended for a number of years and is always welcomed and cared for by the wonderful staff.
