The decor and rooms are lovely. Unfortunately due to no overhead lighting in bedroom, as women trying to do makeup and hair, it was rather difficult. Also there were bits on the floor that hadn't been hoovered in the bedroom. The shower in the bathroom had hairs in it, as did the sink. There were 2 toilet rolls in there, however the one hardly had any left on it so would've expected that one to have been replaced before 3 of us shared the room. Only 2 mugs not 3 for us all. Only 2 hand towels not 3, yet they had left an extra bath towel and made up the bed settee. Just a shame really, as the decor is fab and the potential to be a really nice room and stay.
Breakfast was lovely and plentiful, could have just done with the hot breakfast being a little hotter.
My biggest gripe, as we were there for a workshop, was the one lady at lunchtime. There was 90 of us and they did have a couple of hot choices as well as sandwiches. However as we weren't at the front of the queue, there were very few sandwiches left. It was difficult to tell what they were, this older lady was clearing up and could see lots of people trying to workout what the sandwiches were, but didn't offer any help in this instance. Once we had got our food, we went to find a seat, there were some big groups of people with single seats about, yet there was 3 of us who obviously wanted to discuss at lunch what we'd been doing, so we sat at an already used table. I went to ask somebody for cutlery for us, the lady I asked asked the older lady I'd noticed earlier to get it. Grudgingly she went to get it and then rudely told me that there was 96 settings out and only 90 of us. I'm well aware that there may have been spaces elsewhere but really? If they had had cutlery by the plates, then everybody could have helped themselves. This was by far the most disappointing experience in a truly great day.

When ever I stay in the Manchester/Bury area I always book this hotel. Given the affordable room prices, the facilities are excellent. The rooms are very modern, well equipped and have really comfortable beds and the selection of food and drink onsite is really good. I will no doubt be back soon!

Good facilities, but you expect that for the price charged, so overall an average score.
Pub does a good job of providing good quality, basic grub. Drinks options are weirdly boring.
The swimming pool is the main reason that I chose to stay here, and is the reason I'll probably come back.

Booked this hotel at short notice. It was excellent for the purpose of my business trip, facilities were great, food was a high standard, staff very helpful. Would recommend to others without hesitation.

I use this hotel regularly for sheer convenience on business travel, it is normally quite good but I was shocked by how dirty the bathroom/bedroom floor was, hair in shower and not hoovered. Overall nice hotel but far too expensive considering it's just a 3*. Good value I suppose if your a gym bunny taking advantage of the pool & facilities.

My friend and I can to stay as we was attending a conference there the next day. We was there 2 days so ate in pub and restaurant. They were both lovely meals but the best thing about the whole hotel was the lovely helpful staff!! The rooms were average but clean so all good. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you're in the area!

Had a great day with family. good lunch and very pleasant atmosphere both in restaurant and bar later. All spoilt by sleepless night due to loud people going in and out presumably staff on smoke breaks.

This is the second time that I have stayed at the village. I would highly recommend the hotel which has great facilities based upon an enjoyable time with large room & a great gym & pool. I thought the meals were reasonably price & the food good value for money.

We visit various villages for spa weekends about 3 a year the bury village has been refuribished since our last visit . The rooms are lighter now shame they have taken out the bath and replaced with a shower but it was a good shower , The changing rooms are nicer and cleaner . Spa facilties are good as they are in all villages . Our only issue was the party on Sunday night which I think was a staff party it was very loud stopping sleeping till after 1am. Earlier in the evening i went to use the bathroom in reception area and there were Men and women in both toilet and very drunk people which wasnt pleasent but overall a good weekend

I have stayed here several times however, on this occasion I was dismayed to find they have introduced a new self-service check-in system. This was impersonal and unwelcoming, and frankly annoying after a 5 hour long car journey. Not sure anyone wants to have to fill in their own name/address/(lengthy) card details on a computer keyboard island in the dimly lit lobby and then create your own room key (it felt like a bad online transaction without the benefit of doing it in your own front room). I say - a it's step too far!!!

However the room service (wine) delivery chap was every bit as nice as usual. So I am slightly sad to leave a negative review on a hotel I am usually quite happy with. Please bring back reception and the friendly receptionist!

Excellent renovation to rooms . Lacks a few condiments in the bathroom but very clean . Coffee tea provided. Most importantly a decent easy to use hairdryer that is NOT attached to the bathroom wall!! Iron and board also in the room. However thin walls and noisy from doors banging shut and people passing in the hall way. Room good value if booked on -line early .For a double £ 65 without breakfast.

Great value for money!!! Breakfast and stay for £40 in a club room on a special deal! Really lovely spa treatment and lovely products! We did visit an Indian resteraunt in whitefield called forts of India which was very disappointing and I really didn't like! Wish we would of stayed in the resteraunt or found somewhere better!

Food was awful. Asked for wake up call on the several occasions that we stayed, never got one & told we never asked for one. Left a Gucci mirror in room 151, left numerous messages to ask if we could come & get it to be finally told it wasn't found. We had to continually ring up to be told, we'll leave a message for house keeping to give you a call back, never got one.

Sleep was very poor first night - 2nd and 3rd were much better - the staff were very helpful and I found the decor in corridors very dark and dull - but perhaps that is the fashion - could not work out the coffee maching no matter how hard I tried !!

great hotel only 3 minor problems

1.No Tassino machines as stated
2.Needs a better third bed
3.Pub Staff need to notify of offers for food before customers order food
other that the hotel was smart and classy

If you like bright strong colours then this recent refurb is for you guys. Much improved facilities from the visit of last year.
Comfortable beds, large Samsung tv screen instead of the smaller often tiny ones in other hotels. Free WIFI that worked. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room. Nice powerful shower.
Much choice at breakfast etc- something for everyone.

What a lovely, modern hotel! The staff are fire fly and welcoming, the rooms are bright yet cosy and the shower and bathroom facilities are amazing. Didn't get chance to use the pool so hopefully I'll be back soon. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the evening meal was a set meal plan for everybody, I like to have a choice on ordering my food. Cocktails were delicious and the bed was so comfy! The breakfast was also delicious too even though we had to ask for tea and coffee, maybe a coffee machine to help yourself? Overall brilliant! Thank you!

Inconsiderate guests banging doors regularly from 5 am. Trying to sleep was impossible. Not the hotel's fault but ruined our stay. Bar food was great. Leisure facilities good. Room needs more light and a proper kettle to make tea.

The rooms are a little tired but ok. Showers fiddly. Lighting poor. Some windows don't seem to close properly - not ideal in winter. Gym was good. Restaurant pricey - we ate at pub next door. Bar noisy - football crowd. We only paid £25 - would not have been happy if paid full price!
