We had the best Italian meal here that we have had for a long time.
Fresh, homemade pasta, tasty well prepared sauces and fabulous handmade garlic bread.Could not fault any part of this wonderful meal.
We had Rigatoni Ragu di Agnello (Lamb) and Pappardelle al Ragu di Cingiale (wild boar), both were sensational. For desert we had Tiramisu and Cannoli, again these were perfect.
Fully reccomend a visit to this authentic Italian restaurant.

Fantastic Italian restaurant, excellent service, delicious food and family friendly. Went for lunch with my partner and two young daughters on our first visit to Eastbourne and were delighted with our meal. Highly recommend

What a lovely restaurant. Run by a very nice team. Great service. The pizza was delicious. I ordered the tiramisu to take back to my hotel, it was very tasty. Clean toilets with plenty of hand-wash and hand towels. I will definitely visit again when in Eastbourne.

Just happened upon Anema e Core at early lunch time yesterday, liked the look of the menu posted outside and went in.........
We had clearly misread the menu, but what was served up were a couple of superb wholegrain pizzas.Nice atmosphere & fast pleasant service.

An excellent, family-run, dog-friendly, Italian restaurant with a wide menu that catered very well for my gluten-free wife. She had seafood pasta, I had the octopus. Both delicious. The chocolate tart and tarta della nonna also slipped down well.
However, seeing what a couple on a neighbouring table had, a platter of Italian meats, cheese and salad with bread and olives, meant that we had to break a lifetime habit of going to a different restaurant for each day of the holiday and book lunch for the following day, just to eat that!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here - all of the food was excellent - as was the house red - and the service was quick and everyone seemed happy and relaxed. Definitely recommend to anyone who is a fan of proper Italian food and hospitality

A small family restaurant with friendly helpful staff. The food was terrific and came to the table piping hot. Chef in open view kitchen was able to put out 5 distinctly different dishes at once. If you want to enjoy your salad course before the entree be sure to let them know, else you get it all, in one go.

On entering wes so pleased to see it was a smaller unit than Bolton RoadWhere we felt they loss the small Italian atmosphere.
The food has always been excellent and now we have been to the new venue will be back.The restaurant is run by a charming family they make you feel very welcome .
Will welcome a later last orders when staffing allows so the ambiance last later in evening.Well done in going back to your roots.

We are a Italian family. For the first time in UK, in 5 years time we had real Italian food. Starters were amazing and pasta cooked al dente perfect. We felt like we were in Italy. Service was excellent. We will return next time. Thank you.

We were first directed to it as it is dog friendly and welcomed our very well behaved cavapoo.Hubby had the risotto fungi both times as he loved it so much!
Staff very friendly, helpful and attentive. We did not have children with us but noticed they were very much welcomed.
Food is all freshly cooked and kitchen can be observed from the restaurant. Highly recommend.

quite possible one of the best meals I've ever had ! the picture is of the starter myself and my 2 friends had, as you can see the portions are not small ! although fried, my starter was very light and tasty. for mains I had the mushroom risotto, it was incredible, very rich and creamy but not too heavy. my friends had the lasagne, they said it was the best they'd ever had, I had a taste and it was delicious, again full of meat but not too heavy, and again large portions ! the staff were brilliant too. I will definitely be coming back here again

Lovely evening meal whilst on short holiday break. Pasta very authentic with great service. Only negative was the Arancini starter which did not come with any dip/sauce so very dry.

Cheerful and attentive waiting staff looked after us well at Anema e Core. We had some really hot focaccia and interesting Sicilian specialities, followed by a couple of excellent pasta dishes. A nice place that I'd happily return to. Do book: people were queuing outside as we left.

I had lunch here on Saturday with 2 friends, it was quite possibly one of the best meals I've had in years, we started with frittura di pesce (mixed seafood), mini arancini and garlic bread with a beautiful tomato and gorgonzola dip, the portions were not small ! so we all shared, the seafood although fried was very light and crisp. for mains I had the mushroom risotto, it was incredible, creamy but not too heavy, it must have showed how delicious it was as a lady at the next table asked what I was having as by the expression on my face t must have tasted amazing !! my friends both had the home made lasagne, again very generous portions, this too was simply amazing, meaty with just the right amount of sauce.

The arancini and the carbonara (with no cream, of course) were on point. Nonna's cake was delicious, too. I can't believe how friendly the waitress was. Amazing find!

We started with the antipasto and focaccina and dips. They were both gorgeous. Mr L then opted for a Calzone and I had the Ravioli alla Zucca which was melt in your mouth, rich butternut squash, beautiful subtle flavours. We drank a very well priced bottle of Montepulciano.The bill was incredibly reasonable. Please go here... It's simply lovely.

What a great find. Brilliant service & Food and very tasty and high quality. Staff are lovely 1st time visit but when we are back in Eastbourne this will be our go to restaurant. Keep up the high standards & Reasonable prices. The biggest Calzone you ever did see don't order a starter!

Me and my partner are now regulas at Trattoria Anema e Core and every time we eat here the food gets better and better. The pasta is freshly homemade and cooked "Al dente" like a proper Italian pasta should be. The pizza is just Amazing! Finally there is a place with a different and exiting menu, not the classical stereotype of the Italian restaurant outside Italy. This is the place where you have to go when you like to have a proper and authentic southern Italian meal! The place looks great and the atmosphere is just like to be in Italy!
