My wife and I stayed in Eastbourne for a few days in August for holidays. We decided to go to this restaurant again after dinning there last year.
The food and service was excellent, also great value for money. I would highly recommend the pizzas, they are cooked in a fired oven and are as authentic as you will find. My other dinner guests very much enjoyed their meals too, I highly recommend a visit here!

My wife and I were staying a couple of nights in Eastbourne, visiting a friend who had recently retired there.
In search of somewhere to eat, we Googled the tried and tested "Tripadvisor best places to eat" and Anema e core came up highly rated, so we thought we would try it.
We were met by a very friendly and welcoming Italian young lady (sorry I did not get her name) who showed us our table.
There is an extensive menu and wine list, with plenty to choose from.
All I can say is that we enjoyed the overall experience so much, we booked again for the following evening, which was also our last in Eastbourne. Again we were made to feel extremely welcome.
Our friend chose a pizza for his main course, after having prawn cocktail as a starter
and could not finish the pizza as it was huge!
If/when we visit Eastbourne again, we would certainly pay a visit to Anema e core.

I recommend the platter for 2 to share: meat & cheese. It is absolutely gorgeous. The whole meal was delicious and the service excellent. Could not fault.

Italian family run restaurant. Delicious lunchtime meal in this lovely little restaurant. A 3 course lunch costs £12.50 and the food is faultless. The pizza is the best I’ve tasted. Will definitely be back again with friends.

Mouth wateringly good Italian Cuisine based on family recipes.
Working backwards, the price. On a Saturday night £212 for 5 people for starters, mains and 4 bottles of wine (2 red 2 white both excellent).
You have to book to avoid disappointment. It's worth the effort.
This is very much great Italian family cooking. I asked 'Lia' (the owners daughter) to choose for me. Needless to say her father's home made Bruschetta and her Grandmothers Pasta recipes were exceptionally good.
Our dining companions down from London are of Italian descent and thought it was superb and great value for money.
As for the service: everyone cares about the food and has an opinion.
Would I recommend Anema? Yes without hesitation.

After looking for somewhere to eat in Eastbourne that we hadn’t been to before we decided to visit Anema e core after reading all the great reviews, We weren’t disappointed and the food was really delicious. I had the mushroom risotto and it was one of the best I have had. The restaurant has a lovely friendly feel to it and everyone is extremely friendly and happy that work there, which isn’t always the case in some restaurants so made it a very enjoyable evening. The complementary limoncello was also a lovely touch. They also do a great priced lunch menu which I hope to return and have.

I have been here two or three times now. They haven’t put a foot wrong. Smiley meet and great, advice on the menu only if You ask for it, nice wines, good beer (I’m a Belgian Beer fan, wouldn’t expect it in an Italian now would You?) decent portions.
I’d be happy to go to this place on my own for dinner, it’s comfort food at its best with a good ambience and friendly staff.

Visited Anema e core in May 2018 with wife & two kids (3 & 5). What a find! Generous starters and fantastic pizzas, plus genuinely warm and friendly staff. Great with the kids - made them feel really special... makes such a difference. Back to the pizzas. Amongst the best I've had - clearly a lot of love and care goes into the bases. Generous toppings too. We will definitely return when next in Eastbourne.

This is a wonderful family run restaurant serving amazing food, particularly the traditional Neapolitan pizzas. The whole family are there and are always welcoming. A great place for a special occasion or casual meal alike. We go back time after time and we are never disappointed.

The last time we had a meal at this restaurant was many many years ago when the family business had just started up. The food, hospitality and service were great then. We stopped of at Eastbourne on our way home and again all these years later we were met with the same friendly hospitality, good quality food and service. It is lovely to see that this family run restaurant has maintained its ratings as they are certainly well deserved and I would always come here over one of the high street chains any day.

Four adults and a five-year-old were brilliantly catered for. All three courses were superb including a sharing seafood platter for two, luscious lasagne, superb spaghetti cooked al dente and scrummy desserts. My grandson ate the entire adult size pizza and then demolished a portion of ice cream. It goes without saying that we’ll be back. A real joy. The only negative aspect was the state of decor in the ladies. My wife tells me the actual cubicles were fine - but the communal part could have done with a lick of paint. But that didn’t detract from the excellent food and friendly service. It was excellent value for money, too.

The starters buffalo mozzarella and carpaccio beef were both very good. For the mains, the risotto with king prawns was good, prawns perhaps on the small side but the chicken breast with tomatoes was excellent. The dessert with sponge and ice-cream was very light and tasty BUT the liquor coffee was probably the worst I have had. The coffee and liquor was good but to be topped up with 'squirty cream' (instead of cream poured over a spoon) ruined it. What a shame !! Service impeccable..

I absolutely love this restaurant. Family run, with such loyalty that's difficult to find today. The food - cooked by the father, mother and son-in law (to be) is absolutely perfect - beyond description. Thank you and well done!

We only had two nights in Eastbourne and Anema e Cora was so good that we ate there both nights. The friendliness of the owners, the reasonable prices and the excellent food all made our meals very enjoyable. I saw them go out to the garden to pick fresh basil for our pizza, which was cooked in a wood fired oven and delicious.

It was 7 of us. We felt very welcome there at all times. The restaurant was full but they still managed to make sure everyone was ok and they kept checking on every table. Service with a smile!

What a lovely restaurant. We had a lovely week in East Sussex especially in Eastbourne. We went here for lunch and received a great welcome. We sat outside in the lovely sunshine and all the staff made us and our dog feel very welcome. The food wine and service was excellent, definitely recommend

Booked a table for 4 on Saturday evening and so pleased we did. Absolutely fantastic meal again, the wild boar ravioli was stunning. House red was very good and the service like last time ( About 18 months ago ) was excellent. This wonderful Italian restaurant is a credit to Eastbourne, and I would highly recommend a visit.
