From the moment you enter the restaurant you know you are in for a treat, spacious and a terrific outdoor area for those that wan't it. Had a Garlic bread to start which was lovely and full of flavor. The Calzone was the star though. It was truly delicious. A word of warning though to anyone ordering though the portion size was huge! In hindsight no need for a starter. I will be back soon to try out you delicious cuisine.

Went for my wife's birthday and they made a real effort to help the celebrations. The table was laid out nicely and a complimentary home made licquer went down well!
The menu is varied and quality of food superb; good wine list at sensible prices. no wonder it scores well.

Had lunch at this restaurant after visting the Eastbourne cliffs by the sea. Very nice interior with a terrace. The food was really delicious, every dish we ordered was liked by all family members. The pizzas were one of the best we have tried in a long time. Very nice and crusty dough with tasty melt mozzarella. Dessert comes in generous portions.
They have excellent prices,specially if you take the set menu where you can choose between 1, 2, or 3 courses. I was frankly positively surprised when i received the bill as it was very good value for the money. Highly recommended!

Having visited early in the year while house hunting we returned to this lovely place during a day trip. How delightful it was to be recognised despite the gap between visits. Lia and her team certainly provide the lovely hospitality that Italian people are famed for. Food was all that we remembered - excellent, and we cannot wait to move to Eastbourne so that this can become a regular haunt. Grazie tanto!

We booked for Anema e Core after seeing the good reviews on TripAdvisor and it didn’t disappoint. The restaurant is cosy, the staff friendly and the food delicious. We shared some starters, all had pasta mains (carbonara, salmon tagliatelle, wild boar ravioli) and some desserts. The mains were all delicious, the desserts not as good but still tasty - my aunt and I both had pannacotta which tasted delicious but wasn’t the right consistency. We were served quickly and their house white was also very nice and at a good price. I would go back there definitely if in the area again and try the pizzas.

Visited for evening meal.’staff/ owners lovely and nothing too much trouble. Even when my partner spilt his wine everywhere another glass was brought to the table even though we had a bottle!

High quality Italian. Staff know what they are doing. Pizza oven doing proper neopolitan pizza although gas rather than woodfire. Pizzas looked very good but we only has pasta which was highly rated. Highly recommend.

We came here for our anniversary dinner after hearing good reviews and loved it.
My calzone was huge (see picture), well filled and was delicious. My partner is gluten free and the staff were vert understanding giving her the option to choose any pasta dish but substitute the pasta for gnocchi which she thoroughly enjoyed. Having tried a bit myself it too was delicious. I can only imagine how nice the dish would have been with pasta.
For dessert I enjoyed a coffee with icecream and cream on top, it was a very good size and was so good!
I would very much recommend this restaurant to everyone and will be coming back soon!

A grandson's birthday and from the start a great welcome from Lia and all the staff . They were attentive , friendly and polite . The kids could watch their pizzas being made and the food arrived quickly , beautifully prepared and delicious . This restaurant is truly a wonderful Italian family enterprise and a great place to eat . We shall be going again .

Best Italian restaurant I've been to. Interesting menu and beautifully cooked food. Friendly, efficient service. Only mild criticism would be that the starter was so big I couldn't face pudding. Suppose I could have not eaten it all but was too good to leave. Will return soon.

We are Italian and this is THE ONLY PLACE we have tried (and we tried many!) which offers a truly, authentic and unspoiled Italian original cooking. I mean...the "Rigatoni with meatballs" I had today brought me back to my childhood in my granmother's kitchen, when the lovely smell of the freshly cooked meat in tomato souce filled the whole house!! Just look no further if you want the REAL Italian food experience!!Thank you team at Anema e Core, carry on the excellent job!

A great visit with friends who come here often and are welcomed like family. The food is wonderful - authentic Italian, properly prepared with fresh ingredients. The panna cotta for dessert was outstanding - really imaginative and tasty. There is a little courtyard garden for outdoor seating in warmer weather. We don't live in Eastbourne but if we did, we would surely be coming back here!

I had a fantastic meal with family at Anema e Core . it is the best italian food i have had out side italy . They meet and greet ,nothing is a problem , extensive authentic italian food , pizzas to die for . Restaurant inside ,garden restaurant out side and a court yard resturant , so relaxed and chilled out , and they dont rush you out ,

Yesterday we stayed in this restaurant. authentic Italian food. It is managed by an Italian family. fast and very attentive service. We would raccomanded this place. If you want Italian food in Eastbourne you can go there. Thank you very much!!!

Here you will find the friendliness typical of South Italy.
The pizza is prepared and cooked as it would be in Naples and you won't find "exotic" ingredients here. Sorry no Hawaiian.The antipasti are prepared with quality ingredients from an Italian chef.
We were too full to try any dessert but the meloncello was great.
Only note is that it can get very busy, expecially on Saturdays, so better book in advance.

Had a dinner here for the first time. Lovely service and felt very welcomed. Sat in a cosy corner and the food was lovely. Didn’t take too long, but was fresh and the best tasting pizza ever. Partner had lasagna which he thoroughly enjoyed.

We booked for a pre theatre lunch today .. from the moment we arrived to our departure the service was superb... all the staff were so friendly! The food was exceptional with some of the best pizzas and gnocchi that we have tasted! Congratulations;)
