Just need to say what a great meal we had at the new Anema e core.
The old Restaraunt was quirky but always delivered on taste . The new restaurant now compliments the wonderful pizza and pasta passionately delivered by Lia and her team.

We visited for my mum's 60th birthday meal and there were 13 of us.
Although we had preordered, the food wasn't waiting for us (which is a good thing) and starters came out all freshly made... be warned, the starters are big and could almost be a main meal in themselves!I had the arancino and it was amazing.
The mains were lovely and also big so most of the group unfortunately couldn't finish... but we had room for pudding.The staff are extremely lovely and made my mum's meal very special by getting her a birthday card and paying for her pudding (as well as the children's starters).
The cost was unbelievably reasonable and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting an authentic Italian experience.Bravissimo

We will certainly be returning here. Food was plentiful and delicious. Waitress was brilliant. A relaxing meal and four happy customers. Can highly recommend if you're looking for a family run restaurant with a good selection of dishes.

We booked a table for 12 on a Saturday over the weekend of the Eastbourne Air show - it was a special occasion for our mum's 60th birthday. Just wanted to reflect what a brilliant restaurant and great staff it has. They had decorated the table and got our mum a card from them all which was a lovely surprise. Our food was delicious and they served the 3 children first so that they were catered for before the adults. We all had something different so there was a lot of swapping and trying of each others dishes (the portions are large, so we were happy to share). Great atmosphere - all staff happy and willing to help with any extras required. Also considering that they were fully booked and had to turn people away there was no feeling that we had to rush, they were happy for us to take our time, enjoy our meal and chat and enjoy the evening. If we are ever in Eastbourne again we will be sure to visit.

We have been twice this month, the food and service are so fantastic! The restaurant is family run and you can tell the passion behind every dish created. Friendly service with a smile. Pizzas are amazing, authentic Italian food, good prices. They have only been open 2 months and are perfecting their craft.....give it a try if you love Italian food, you won't be disappointed!

First visit in the new premises, very friendly and welcoming staff. Had the lunch time special £7 for pizza and soft drink can't complain at that, very tasty. Lovely restaurant booked a table for Saturday evening.

We visited the Anema e Core, in their new premises in Bolton Road, after having read the reviews on Tripadvisor.
We arrived about 6pm, on a Thursday night, and we were met by friendly staff and seated immediately even though we had not booked.
It would appear that we were lucky because the restaurant was very popular and filled up rather quickly with most of the clientele being welcomed as repeat customers. Probably best to book in advance in the future!
We chose to share a Friturra Misto as a starter which was a plentiful, well cooked and tasty presentation of King Prawns, Calamari and Whitebait which was as good as we have tasted in Italy.
We then shared a Pizza O’ Solo Mio which tasted excellent, appeared to use authentic Italian ingredients, and resulted in an excellent tasting pizza which, as a thin crust pizza, almost equals the best tasting pizza that we have tasted in Italy.
We rounded the meal off with an excellent Tiramisu and tasty coffee.
The atmosphere was very relaxed and the staff were attentive and ensured that we were enjoying our meal.
Highly recommended and look forward to a return visit when we can try the other dishes!

I've eaten at Anema e Core many times and I find that the food, especially the pizza, has even improved since their move to the new premises in Bolton Road. Same delightful and extremely friendly and welcoming service. As before, though, remember to phone to book in advance as the place is definitely bigger (including two outside areas if you prefer al fresco dining) but tables go as quickly as they did on their previous premises. Definitely still my top recommendation!

First visit to this family run restaurant. It was a great experience the staff were so friendly and concerned that you were enjoying the food. We had pizza it was a thin pizza with generous toppings, delicious. One small point it was very hot with no air con the pizza oven is in the restaurant so could do with a cooling system.

We have been to this restaurant several times now, first when they were in Seaside Road, and since they have moved to their new premises in Bolton Road, which is more spacious with the addition of 2 gardens for eating al fresco if the weather permits. The food is absolutely outstanding, the service is wonderful. The whole team are extremely welcoming, friendly and enthusiastic. If want authentic Italian food, with hand made pizzas from a genuine Italian brick oven, this is the place to come. Well done Lia (manager), & the whole team, keep up the good work.

The most superb meal ! This restaurant has smashed it as far as authentic Italian food goes ! The service was impeccable we were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble ! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves traditional Italian food ! Will return time and time again !!!

They managed to squeeze us in despite it being fully booked and not having a reservation. The manageress was excellent, passionate about the food and drink and offering suggestions and recommendations. The food was first class and like a number of people have also commented, the best outside of Italy. Would definitely recommend.

What a lovely restaurant. So glad we paid it a visit after reading the reviews. Pizza was some of the best I have ever tasted. The only other place I have tasted pizza as authentic and good was in Italy many years back. The staff were lovely and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Italian food.

Definitely added to the list of favourite places to eat in Eastbourne. A family run Italian restaurant, serving authentic Neapolitan food, which absolutely delicious. The service is attentive and very friendly, a good wine list, a delightful outside terrace and very reasonable prices. The list of dishes on the menu is quite small (apart from the Pizza’s), but there is a separate specials list plus an excellent vegetarian selection. On Saturday the place was very busy with others who had sought out this lovely place, so best to book.

What a fantastic restaurant!! Firstly, the staff are the friendliest most professional people you will find anywhere. Their new restaurant on Bolton Road is spacious and very very nice. The food is faultless. Try the fried calzone starter. Pizza's are amazing, pasta is well cooked and very tasty....desserts are authentic and delicious. Can't recommend it highly enough....the best Italian restaurant we have ever visited.

First of all let me point out that I'm Italian and living in Eastbourne for over 20 years. So take this advice from me.....don't go anywhere else, this is the best Italian food you'll ever get, it's simply awesome, just like what I used to eat back home in Italy. I've tried the pizzas, seafood and past dishes and I can't fault them at all. Very very good!!!!! It's a bonus that the staff are very friendly and the restaurant itself is very nice too. Very authentic and they have introduced some new dishes for the English pallet, like the pizza fritta which is so so nice. You won't be disappointed

We had a superb meal with friends, it really is a wonderful atmosphere with a comprehensive menu and the food is the best we have tasted outside of Italy and is as good. The service is excellent and the staff were great fun even though my Italian pronunciation leaves a lot to be desired, they had a laugh with us. Thoroughly recommended and will definitely be returning. Thank you.

The food here is amazing, everything my husband and l had was delicious. I had pasta with gorgonzola which was soooo delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If your looking for an authentic Italian restaurant then definitely give this one ago.

Visited this restaurant for the first time on Sunday evening. This is the best Italian restaurant in Eastbourne. The food is very authentic, cooked and presented beautifully. We both had starters which were excellent and for my main I had seafood Trofie. On the menu it said it comes with spaghetti but the waitress recommend the Trofie pasta, excellent recommendation. The portions are very generous. Definitely could not eat 3 courses. I will definitely be back. Staff very friendly and helpful.
