Full of natural beauty and take your breathaway views, not packed with people so able to relax there. National trust area well run as per- usual. Enjoyed the visit ice- creams on the high end of pricing , to be expected i suppose. Overall would go again as it was a pleasurable experience. Snapped up some nice pics and vids as plenty to see.

Enjoy the views by walking up to the lighthouse, relax for a while in this beautiful quiet location and watch the spitfires fly overhead whilst taking their passengers on a flight. Walk back down to the National Trust cafe and enjoy tea/coffee and a snack. A perfect day out.

Leave the car behind and just walk these lovely undulating cliffs. Lots of nature around. Pebble beach - do check tide times - it does come in quickly!

Had a great walk from here to beachy head and back. When we arrived back we went into the national trust cafe. An overcooked sausage roll £3.75 each one. Daylight robbery.

Part of England's heritage! Not the white cliffs of Dover, but very similar. Good car park, and a lovely NT cafe with pleasant staff.

Unfortunately it was raining whilst we were here, so it was just a quick walk down the staircase to the pebbly beach (not easy to walk on) to see the cliffs. Then a walk up towards the lighthouse to see the panorama.

Absolutely wonderful views from the top, and access viewing place lower down. Shop and toilets were an added bonus.

Visiting here on a clear day and you will be amazed with the spectacular views. We did walked up the cliff to Belle tout lighthouse and back and then took the stairs down to the beach. There is a Car park for £5 all day (free for national trust members), a cafe, small museum and toilet facilities. Also there are some deck chairs to use for free. If coming via bus, then take No. 12 Coaster bus service from Eastbourne or Brighton.

I love Birling Gap and have been there many times over the years but it really needs to be visited outside of popular times because it just gets so busy these days!

I was last there Saturday evening in order to catch the sunset and sat on a bench in front of the closed Cafe. Like so many NT sites the Trust closes the cafe early and really misses a trick in not keeping this open through the evening - if only at the weekends! Birling Gap remains quite busy right till the sun goes down and there is a captive audience for hot drinks on cool evenings and cold drinks on hot ones!!!

Anyway, I remember when the cafe and visitor's centre was built but it now looks distinctly shabby - and not in a chic way! It seems that nobody has done any maintenance on it for a very long time.

The paintwork is all peeling - which you might expect from the environment - but there is no excuse for dirty windows, litter, roof tiles lying on the ground and missing gutters. All that has happened over a long length of time and been ignored.

I am a National Trust member and have never seen such a dilapidated property in their care before. I also question why it was 1. built in timber and 2. not given decent weather protection to the paintwork.

Until such time that it is repaired or replaced in its entirety, maybe a bit of tidying -up and basic repairs could be done?!

Please take this year's Direct Debit towards the cost of a window cleaner...

This place is a natural beauty spot and has some amazing views there is also cliff top walks with more fantastic views the beach(stones) is accessible by stairs but be warned that this is quite a physical walk both on the beach and up the cliff tops so those who not as physically active may find it difficult but it is worth it nonetheless. There is a cafe facility and a small museum attached to this site. Also the area is part of the national trust so is you are a member parking is free.

Lovely walk along the coast to Beachy Head. The National trust car park & shop/cafe were really busy as it was a sunny bank holiday.

This is an interesting small beach with great views of the Seven Sisters. There is a car park just a short walk (down some steps) from the pebbly beach. There is also a National Trust visitor centre, large cafe and toilets. The centre has some interesting displays about the local area and its history. The display showing the progress of cliff erosion over recent decades is enlightening.

There are cliff walks in both directions. We drove back along the eastern route, which offers good views over Eastbourne if the weather is clear.

One of our favourite walks across the Seven Sisters to the country park and then bus back to Eastbourne. Around 8 miles and over 2000ft ascent so be prepared, weather/wind can be more severe up there.

Visited this location - amazing views and the height of the cliffs were amazing from the beach - we had lovely sunny weather so thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon here. There are steps down to the beach which is very pebbly so comfortable shoes very important. There is a National Trust cafe and car park so parking free for National Trust members.

From the car park (free to National Trust members) at the cottages, it is a lovely walk up to the Belle Tout Lighthouse. Here you can continue to walk on to Beachy Head but we turned back towards Birling Gap. We always enjoy the walk back to Birling Gap because, all the way, you have lovely views of the Seven Sisters. The views are even more impressive when there's a wind and the waves are crashing up the narrow beach. When you've finished your walk there is a cafe at the car park, whee there's als a shop, an information centre and toilet facilities.

Not too steep a climb from the National Trust Car Park. Parking is £5 for a day - well worth it if there are a number in the car, and obviously necessary for us all to contribute in order to maintain the site. Toilets, shop and cafe on site.

A great place to walk in the fresh air taking in the sights and smells of the sea air.
As long as you have a bright dry clear day you can walk for miles along the cliff top.
Just don’t get too close to the edge!!

An amazing and unforgettable family day out on a sunny day in mid September 2021 - my first trip to see these white cliffs (up close, from landside) and they were absolutely stunning. We parked at the Seven Sisters country park visitor centre and had a lovely scenic walk along the Cuckmere estuary - this was all on the flat, particularly suitable for the elderly relative with us. The WW2 "pillboxes" along the way were interesting to look in, and out of.

The first sight of the Seven Sisters cliffs was breathtaking and we delayed our picnic lunch for some time just to walk along the pebbles and take in the views. It was low tide and we had no difficulty with the pebbly terrain but it might be tricky for some. It's possible to walk all the way along to Birling Gap but would be slow.

After our picnic, sitting on the pebbles, and a gentle stroll back along the riverside, we decided to drive 5 minutes down the road to the Birling Gap National Trust site (there are also frequent buses) and it proved worthwhile popping in towards the end of the afternoon after what had clearly been a busy day there. I was pleased that as NT members, the parking was free. Again, stunning views of the cliffs in both directions and we didn't even get as far as going down the steps to the beach, or a steeper walk on top of the cliffs. Tea and cake in the NT cafe lived up to our usual high expectations and the shop and visitor centre were also well worth visiting - even though it was closing time, the guide in the visitor centre took time to answer our questions about what is a fascinating site, including its wartime history, and ideas for walks, and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be back!
