It's very high! A quick stop-off and stroll about is all it needs to fuse this landscape into your memory-banks for ever. Worth the trip. Steps down to the beach are part of the thrill. Keep back from the edge and if you have horrible and ill disciplined kids you have just had enough of then it's a recommended solution for you.

We walked the seven sisters starting from Seaford and were happy to focus on this as our halfway point on the way to Eastbourne. Amazing views from here even if you’re not doing the walk, and nice to have the bathroom facilities available. We arrived on a Monday at 1pm and the only lunch food left were scones and egg salad sandwiches, so don’t necessarily count on the cafe for lunch, but you can easily find a treat there or in the shop.

Driving from Eastbourne takes about 15 mins to the Birling Gap (put that in your phone or GPS) which is the landmark spot and National Trust venue from where you can see the Seven Sisters chalk cliffs very easily and conveniently. You can also climb down the stairs to access the stone beach.

You can park in the National trust car park at Birling Gap for approx £1.50 per hour in coin or download the pay to park app. There is no phone signal here but a free WiFi hotspot is available by the shops and bathrooms.

Alternatively you can park for free on the road just outside the car park leading to and from the car park itself. You will see plenty of cars.

This is defi something to do in a nice day otherwise you may not enjoy being out there exposed to the high winds for too long.

Incredible place to visit, but you must enjoy walking. Fairly small car park, very busy in good weather. The Eastbourne to Brighton bus 12 service stops at park entrance. There is a visitor centre, toilets, eatery and a boating centre. Fantastic views. The Cuckmere Inn is about 15 minutes walk away, along main road, has own car park. Great food and beers.

Stunning in every weather. One can trek from and too any of the seven sisters. There's ample public parking in various spots. Don't miss the cafe at the Birling Gap parking and enjoy it at the beach after climbing down a few steps.

I stayed in Eastbourne for a couple of days and wanted to go on a good walk. I got a bus from the town to Seven Sisters Park and walked the 10 or so miles back.

The walk was fairly strenuous, but extremely worthwhile when you see the gorgeous views. The walk took about 4 hours and I knew I had done it when I arrived back at Eastbourne.

Walked from Seaford to Eastbourne. Experienced all four seasons of weather during the walk. Amazing scenery. Well worth the effort. Recommend a cold beer at the end of it.

Stairs down to rocky beach with superb views of the seven sisters. Lovely walk to Belle Tout lighthouse with fab views towards Beachy head.

The walk across the seven sisters from here is fantastic - great views. No boundaries so you can get close to the cliff edge so be careful.

Parking available at a cost (best to carry coins).

Spent a day at the Birling Gap beach with my two kids... When we reached the Visitor Centre and looked down the stairs to the beach it was such a pleasant surprise ! The scenery is stunning and the water was of different shades of blue and green. Coming from Italy and being used to places like Sardinia, I am very fussy when it comes to crystal blue water and my kids are the same. We had a great experience even if we were not equipped with aqua shoes and a comfy beach mattress/chair as there is no sand, just medium sized pebbles :) Definitely an amazing experience, to be repeated soon.

This is the only place to go to if you want to see the white cliffs of England
Dover cliffs are becoming green due to wear

There are a lot places to visit on the cliffs but I would recommend if you have only time for one place come here. There is car park and cafe with poor reception for phones. There is a weak WiFi at the cafe.
There is only a small charge to pay at car park and u can pay by phone if u get reception but just bring some coins

U can then come over near the cliff edge with a wheelchair or buggy to take photos and enjoy the view

There is only stairs down to the beach

The initial part of the beach is rocky so not recommended for buggies or wheelchairs
There is no lift down

The beach is sandy next to the sea and it is fantastic with clear waters

You can see all the Seven sisters cliffs here.

The site was used in Robin Hood Prince of thieves movie when Robin arrives back to England and it is even more impressive than I thought

It is more off the beaten track so less people around and the beach is great for kids and adults

All my kids loved it

One of the best beaches in the UK to visit in my opinion.

Fun in the rock pools at low tide.
A good pair of shoes is recommended as the beach is full of big pebbles.
A long stair case to reach the beach.

This beach is probably my favourite, the views of the seven sisters is amazing.
On a good calm day the sea is so blue!
Yesterday when I visited it was very choppy due to strong wind but still lovely.
Also very good parking in the field opposite I was even able to park my motorhome with ease (23ft long!) no height restrictions.
Highly recommend a visit if staying in Eastbourne. Also the drive past Beachy head on the way is outstanding.
The views are fab.
