We were glad we were National Trust members as the parking charge is fair for a full day but a little pricey just to take in the view. The scenery is stunning but the information display next to the shop felt dated and wordy. It wouldn’t excite a child or young person.

Lovely place. Stayed on the beach for quite a while watching the tide go out and revealing the rock pools. Once the tide had gone out a bit we could get further along the beach without going too close to the bottom of the cliffs.
Can also walk along the cliff tops towards Beachy Head from here.
Great visitor centre.
Highly recommend.

Couple of things:
Its a shame lots of people decide to damage the verges rather than pay a few quid towards car parking that goes towards upkeep.
The extreme right (as you look at the sea) of the beach had nudists - not a problem - but some families might want to avoid.

I thought that the car parking charges were rather higher than I had expected. Particularly for the locals who come there during the winter months.

I also thought that the car park was rather less well maintained that I expected with too many loose stones and gravel not properly graded.

The cafe and shop and display were good and interesting.

Live fairly close to beach head and usually go and watch the sunset from birlin gap, absolutely breath taking views and can also.do the walk up and over the sever sisters which is stunning any time for the day, but especially at sunset. However does get rather busy with cars abandoned everywhere all down the road in the summer

Took a walk to see the Seven Sisters on a beautiful sunny August day. Quite breathtaking!! Heard about them of course but, on the day, all made prefect by the appearance of two Spitfires.

Breathtaking views and a warm welcome at the Information Centre. We visited by Open Top bus from Eastbourne.

Starting at the National Trust car park (free to members) and the Birling Gap Visitor Centre, it doesn't matter which way you walk, either towards Seaford walking on the Seven Sisters themselves, or the other way, towards Beachy Head with the Seven Sisters behind you, the views are stunning. And when you've finished your exhilerating walk, the dog friendly cafe in the Visitor Centre is just right for a drink and/or snack.

Nice place to spend half an hour when visiting area. Lovely views both on top of the cliff and on the beach - which is reached by a winding staircase.
The beach, like all other beaches in the area is very rocky. Didn't go in the cafe or shop so cannot comment, toilets were adequately clean. Look for the little wild flower garden near the toilets.

Absolutely stunning scenery; great for views and walking.

Ample parking (free for National Trust members) and a cafe onsite too.

Highly recommend a visit!

This is a wonderful place for walking. Starting from the National Trust car park (free to members), cafe and toilets, there is a fairly easy walk up to the Belle Tout Lighthouse and back. All the way there are stunning views of the South Downs and, on the way back, equally stunning views of the Seven Sisters themselves. Unfortunately, this walk is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.

This is our second visit to Birling Gap and the Seven Sisters, as we enjoyed our first visit so much. There is a cafe and toilets available here. We boarded the open topped double decker bus outside of Eastbourne Pier which costs £7.50 for a ticket which lasts 24 hrs. You can hop on and off at various locations including Beachy Head which has a lovely pub, however my favourite pub is a little further on called The Tiger Inn which does nice food. Buses run about every half hour there is a timetable attached to the bus stop. For £7.50 you can board the bus and just stay on and go around and round if you wish, best views of course are upstairs. The bus also has an audio commentary which is crystal clear and informative. I highly recommend this tour ... when we go back to Eastbourne we will do it again.

The National Trust car park at Birling Gap makes an excellent starting point for your visit to The Seven Sisters. The car park is free for Trust members, £3 for two hours, or £5 for the day. There is a cafe, gift shop, and toilets on site as well as access down to Birling Gap beach. Head up the coastal path for the mile or so cliff top walk to Beachy Head with spectacular views. Well worth a visit !

Lovely family day out at Birling Gap. We tried the new family trail (free!) which was perfect for my 2 6yr olds. It only takes about half an hour and they loved the activity ideas such as ‘make an animal out of objects you find on the ground’ you can extend the trail if you like and walk all the way up to the light house. It’s easily to rejoin the trail which leads you back down to the cafe area. The cafe food is lovely. We sat outside and had pasties, hot chocolates and ice creams before going down to the beach area with even more stunning views!

Always worth a visit on a sunny day - such wonderful views, with good National Trust facilities! Good photo opportunities, with access to the beach. Plenty of car parking space, but better by bus from Eastbourne.

Great views and one of the best "Cafe" in the area. Local pies a speciality. Good access to beach and a great place to end up having walked from Beachy Head.

Extraordinary coastline that is very beautiful and in many ways unique. I had no idea that this beauty was there so close to Eastbourne.

Lovely trip to NT site. Enjoyed a short walk to light house along the headland. Short flight of walk down steps to pebbly beach. Lovely place to sit and pass time. Cafe, toilets and shop all available. Although ice cream van only took cash
