Can appreciate the grandeur of the coastal cliffs, and observe the power as the cottages and now the stairway to the beach get eaten away by the pounding of the waves. Good car park, and cafe. Base for walking if you have the energy, or just a stroll. Obey the signs!

This is a site I have visited on numerous occasions before. Sadly due to cliff erosion this site is undergoing heavy reconstruction work to save several cliff top houses and further erosion of the cliffs. The nearby South Downs walk is unaffected though so it is still possible to walk along the top of the cliffs. It's a bracing walk and well worth it.

Fabulous place to go for a walk, long or short. National trust tea room for a well earned break, car park free for members otherwise pay and display.
Ever on a very cold windy day the views are great.

My favourite place to come dog walking. My lab absolutely loves all the water and the different hills she can run up as some of it is on different levels. A lovely place for dog walking. Have only been when the weather is good so couldn’t comment on what it is like if raining or windy.

Always worth a visit no matter what time of the year. The views are stunning from dawn til dusk. Even on a foggy day you can sometimes see above the fog/mist and what looks like sticks is infact the masts of a sail boat or two!! On a windy winters day, don't stand near the edge, you can feel the force of the wind and watch the wild sea which can be quite spectacular . The beach in the summer has got more popular as it is in a sheltered position. There are a number of steps down to the beach so be prepared. There has been a number of cliff falls over recent years so DO BE VERY CAREFUL. Enjoy!

Part of the South Downs Park. Very beautiful and unspoilt. There aren’t silly tourist signs and shops everywhere just unspoilt views and plenty of fresh air.

Tv companies often use the 7 sisters instead of the cliffs at Dover as they are unspoilt.

Walked the Seven Sisters on Monday 30th October 2017 and I would only recommend this to you if you above average fitness as there are severe slopes.

Excellent views, but not as enjoyable as the Beachy Head walk solely due to it being very hard work.

A lovely place for a walk with amazing views. Just be aware that the edge of the cliff is not obvious as it looks like a continuation of the grass. The only issue is getting there from Eastbourne without a car. We had to get the bus to the East Dean and walk one and a half miles to get to the start of the walk at Birling Gap. We couldn't get onto the beach as the steps were being replaced. The National Trust have a nice cafe there for refreshments.

An amazing place that can’t be described in words! Got there at the right time to take some beautiful pictures and enjoyed the walk and the views. There is a NationalTrust owned car park free for members and otherwise costing £1 per hour, £2.50 up to 4 hours and £5 all day.

The scenery is fascinating and the visitors centre exhibits a very interesting display relating to the geology of the area. The exhibition reveals what is happening to the landscape as it ever changes. A good opportunity to walk for almost any distance you wish to choose.

Lovely English spot, nice walk through nature that leads to the peaceful area of Seven Sisters! Several paths bring you to the beach and the wonderful view of the surroundings! ps. Careful if you go the longest route from Seaford Head, then you will end up to have to cross the river up to a wobbly wooden bridge if you want to go to the other side and climb up to the cliff!

We took the open top tourist bus which was fab. Be sure to stop in at the National Trust Visitor Centre for tea, cake and some brilliant photos and history.

This is a must see destination if you're in the Eastbourne area. We took the bus from Eastbourne to the Seven Sisters Country Park. From there it is less than a mile to the coast. Walk as far as you like. Looking forward and back, the views of the white cliffs are stunning. The day we went was mostly sunny and the cliffs were practically glowing. We walked to Birling Gap, which you can drive to, where we ate our picnic lunch but there is a cafe and gift shop there. We decided to keep walking to the Belle Tout Lighthouse. Rather than take the trail back to the main road and the bus route, we kept walking to Eastbourne. A long, tiring but amazing hike. Probably around 10 miles.

If you get the chance you must go here. The huge, white chalk cliffs are stunning and the views along the coast and out to sea are very dramatic.

This gap in the white cliffs that form much of the coast hereabouts has a large car park and is a good place to get out of the car and take a walk up one of the paths or along the South Downs Way. Plenty of fresh air and often a chance to purchase an ice cream or coffee as well. On a clear day, there are marvellous views out to sea.

I walked over the seven sisters to Cuckmere Haven from Eastbourne and it’s around 9 or 10 miles. Exhausting but exhilarating and I was able to visit the little gift shop on Beachy Head and the National Trust shop at Birling Gap where there are some lovely Christmas cards at the moment. I hadn’t been on the Birling gap to Cuckmere route before and chatting to a friend made the miles pass quickly. The scenery is stunning, naturally and the cliff tops provide some beautifully framed photography or painting potential; although taking cumbersome equipment might not be advised as some of the undulations are steep.
A picnic would be a very good idea, as even in autumn, the weather has been wonderful in Eastbourne, yet the Beachy Head pub or the Birling gap cafe provide food and refreshments. Birling Gap to Cuckmere is taxing at times but if you’re able bodied and fancy a challenge, you’ll be glad you did any stretch over the beautiful seven sisters.

This spectacular walking area came near the end of our adventure along the South Downs Way. With the lowest daily mileage of the six days (albeit a few challenging ascents and descents), we had time to fully appreciate the stunning views, both inland and the coastline itself.
Absolutely amazing!

It's a cliff you can climb down, go rock pooling, sun bath, generally shallow waters, tea shop, visiter centre which is really interesting. It used to be a pub which struggled due to its location but the national trust have really rejuvenated the whole place with the visiter centre. See the amazing row of houses which are gradually falling over the cliff, but- CAUTION! it is a cliff! dont stand at the top and take selfies, it erodes suddenly! Dont park up for a picnic or bbq at the bottom, right against the wall of chalk, Its a cliff, it erodes! Lastly- what do you call a man with a seagull on his head: Cliffe. What do you call an unaware person next to a cliff: DEAD!! Enjoy its nice.
