Beautiful and surreal place to visit, parking at the birling gap is £1 for an hour, £2.50 for 4 hours and i think from memory about £10 over night. in my opinion start on the beach if the tide is out because the walk is long and very windy at times. as you make your way to the top of the steps and up the cliff you will see in the distance a small lighthouse, you will walk around this and after you have passed this you will see a second lighthouse in the distance. there is a long up hill walk to get to the second light house but thankfully there are a few benches on the way to stop and rest or you could set up picnic on the grass near the carpark roughly between the 2 lighthouses. mind your children near the edge of the cliff. i had mine one at a time with me crawl to peek over the edge, it is very high and to stand at the edge would be crazy, the wind could take you over easy, be mindful. a scene well worth a visit and a good way to spend 4 or 5 hours walking and enjoying the fantastic sights of our great british south coast.
