Not bad, some things need tweaking. The decor generally needs a good decorator, someone with imagination and style . The fabric of the building in places should be overhauled . The food is ok the entertainment not bad the staff help full and pleasant .

Ground floor areas generally very nice but our room was very shabby. Tired decor, worn patches on the chairs, cracked washbasin in the bathroom and black marks around the bath.

We had a nice sea view room, recently upgraded I should think... Dining room definitely needs TLC.... Splashes of food up the walls... Tables stained... Dirty menus.. Salt and pepper pots sticky... Buffet breakfast was adequate... Plenty of tea and coffee available. Bar area was okay... Drinks reasonably priced. We didn't eat dinner... Went out... It was cheap... But wouldn't stay there again..

The Hotel was okay Our bedroom was freezing. The radiator didn't work so they brought us a small electric heater that did no good at all as there were 3 windows from floor to ceiling .The draught through them was awful I complained again and was given another small electric heater .On the Thursday afternoon they offered us another room which was pointless as we were going home Friday morning. This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel and the second time our bedroom was cold We heard other couples complain about being cold .Such a shame as the restaurant and staff were great and entertainment was good .But won't be staying there again

Unbearably hot, everywhere but mainly in our bedroom. There were hot pipes in the wall in our room that produced an unrelenting heat. All other sources of heat were turned off and the windows opened as far as they would go but it was hotter than in last summer's heatwave, the only difference being that then we had summer clothes but now, being December, we only had warm winter clothing with us. We had a fan eventually but that only seemed to circulate the hot air. The heat in the dining room was such that people were fanning themselves with the menus. The food was generally homely but good enough, although the tables were much too close together to have a private conversation. Other than that the hotel was comfortable, the Christmas decorations pretty and the position, on the sea front, near the pier and a short walk from the centre, was very good.

The Hotel is situated on the seafront near to the Pier and within easy walking distance from the town centre. With it being an old building some parts need some TLC. I am not sure sure it is worth paying the price for a room upgrade for what you get. Most hotels I have stayed in provide shower gel and toiletries in the bathroom here you either take your own or they will sell you some. Breakfast was very good with a reasonable choice. Evening meal had a small choice of main courses which where ok but nothing special. Evening entertainment was better on some nights than others. Overall I would rather pay a bit extra and stay in a Coast & Country hotel which I think are far better than Bay Hotels.

Good friendly service if a little slow at dinner times. Clean comfortable rooms but some areas could do with a lick of paint. Entertainment impossible to see from some areas but this could be improved with a large TV and a camera on the act

We had to go down to Eastbourne, as my father-in-law, had been taken seriously ill, while on holiday, at The Bay Burlington. He was taken to Eastbourne General Hospital. The staff at The Burlington, have been absolutely fantastic. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Great place and great staff.

Great place to relax , dancing in the evening , good food. Entertainment let down once again by Debbie Lee James, she managed to clear most of the guests from ballroom in less than 20 minutes. Ruined the evening.

Hotel was very nice we booked a sea view premier room which lived up to our expectations
Now for the not so good bits entertainment is very hit and miss and aimed at an older generation and most nights dancing was to ballroom music and the floor was empty most of the time.
