We went for a Christmas meal at Cru and had a wonderful evening.
I had a lot of dietary requirements to contend with and they made me an amazing meal. Everything was so well communicated and the staff were so friendly.
Everything I’ve been here it’s been really good so I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Excellent service with great food, extensive wine list, knowledgeable sommelier. Very popular, with a real Saturday night buzz, booking essential. Spanish style food for easy sharing. We chose a Tomahawk steak between three, chips included, and with one extra side it was ample and reasonable cost-wise. Friendly efficient service, and ordering a taxi for us was no trouble. Shared churros to finish, delicious. If I had one gripe it would be mark-up on the wine. I found the £60 bottle for immediate retail at almost 2/3 less.

One of the most finest dishes I have had in some time, from start to finish of delightfulness. A wonderful welcome, beautiful service and treated like royalty.
Compliments to all staff.
The chorizo starter was full of flavour with a rich red wine sauce definitely will be coming for more. The scallops just melted in the mouth with a beautiful crumb for texture.
Mains, burgers cooked to perfection each bite full of flavour leaving your mouth watering 😋
Steak spot on. And the lobster was just magical ! (Perfect infact!)
Cocktails fabulous choices 👌
Even the selection of non alcohol beers where lovely.

Outstanding Tomahawk steak with a customised mushroom sauce. Incredible crumbke to follow. Amazing service as always, a must if you are in the area and a scheduled regular booking if you live locally!
May 2024 another amazing visit with superb food and service. Go for the Tomahawk and lobster if you are looking for something special.
Jordan and the team have always made us feel super welcome here, and also squeezed us in when we've called on the day to get a booking.
Food is incredible - the Tomahawk steak was enough for 3 of us to share. Go for the truffled onion rings and Tomahawk if you love steak. Drinks are fantastic with a great choice of cocktails and Mo'cktails. Beautifully refurbished in early 2023 so even more lovely with green leather booth seating. One of the best places to eat in Eastbourne.

What a lovely find in Eastbourne, superb wine list as well as an in house Sommelier. The food was exceptionally good, and with good sized portions. The Chilli Prawn dish was sublime, with the juiciest plumpest prawns and the sauce was delicious. The burger was superb, very tasty and well presented. My husband had the halibut and was very impressed with this. We would definitely return.

Not only was this an excellent meal, but they were able to accommodate us after I (stupidly) made a booking error (accidentally booked for the wrong day).
The local bass carpaccio (special), the Thai hand-dived scallops and the halibut main were lovely. The short rib was exceptional and the padron peppers were delicious (with a very generous portion).
The staff have all been excellent. The sommelier was very knowledgeable about the local (local) Sussex wines and the waiting staff were so friendly and helpful.

Having moved from South West London during lockdown and being in an area most companies don't deliver.... we found our amazing Fix and saviour - Cru!! Cru delivered stunning gourmet food to our door and being foodies, this really kept us going! We were delighted to visit Cruz in person and discover that food is just as amazing and is made even better by the gracious and generous hosts Jordan and Hardy. A must eat at place in Eastbourne and Sussex!

Well, where to start? I'd give 10 stars if i could. We never managed to get a dinner reservation as it seems a popular place and we had limited days so opted for lunch.
The front of house ladies ALL very welcoming, informative and super professional.
The food was amazingly good (credit to the chef) full of flavour and beautiful presentation.
Great selection of wines to pair with your food. An all round great experience, only wish we could of reserved a dinner table too! I guess another reason to return.

The staff was so attentive and informative. They were really responsive to anything we asked. The food was delicious!!! If back in Eastbourne we will be back 100% and also advise friends to go there!

Some of the members of my Meetup.com social group went to Cru for Sunday lunch. Lovely selection of roasts with vast amounts of vegetables. Truffle cauliflower cheese will be a must next time we go! Also very reasonably priced and a good choice of wines. Service excellent. Highly recommended.

Brilliant, well-considered (and reassuringly small) selection of tapas-style dishes, all of which were delicious. In particular the chorizo, beef short rib and gambas/clam dishes which were simply stunning. Great (and reassuringly extensive) wine list and though choice by the glass was limited, the manager happily organised a carafe from the full bottle selection. Also the wine mark up was really modest which was refreshing to see. The service was friendly, attentive and helpful without being overbearing. In short Cru got all the important things right that so many restaurants get wrong and if we lived anywhere near Eastbourne we'd be in there every week. Thank you to Cru for a lovely experience

Went for dinner here on a recent trip to Eastbourne. Food was lovely and the owners/staff couldn't do enough for you. There was an issue with one of the dishes we ordered, but it was rectified as soon as possible and without fuss. These are people that know their business and care about their customer's experience. The desserts were also out of this world!

My first visit, open-minded, was very enjoyable. The lovely staff member took us through the menu, making excellent recommendations, as it did require a bit of thought. The are small plates, like tapas - piri piri king prawns, chorizo in red wine, mushrooms on brioche, and larger plates. We shared an excellent hake tacos. Great wine list. Will go again.
