My family and I have been visiting Drusillas for approximately 8 years. In that time I am amazed at how much investment has gone into it. Every visit shows an updated feature.
We used to have the Season Ticket which is excellent value for money and definitely worth the investment especially when your children are young. I still think that Drusillas is good value as there is so much for all the family. My children still love the freedom the play area offers by feeling grown up going off on their own ( not realising I can see them at all times ).

I have to compliment the staff. They show great commitment to their work. They seem to rotate to different roles throughout the day, it appears to keep them motivated and smiling. I can honestly say I have never seen any employee looking grumpy even at the end of probably a long shift.

So thanks again Drusillas. We had a fantastic day out at the weekend. Well done on your ongoing commitment to improving the park.

Hub & I took grandson (2 yrs) daughter & a friend, it was a wonderfully sunny day, the park was easy to find and the animals and attractions were all laid out in a really great way for the kids. There were many there but it didn't seem too crowded. We all had a good time and grandson was a bit overwhelmed by Thomas who he has only seen on the TV. We were amazed at home many play areas there were for the kids, including the paddling pool where you could have your takeaway food. All we could see were kids having a wonderful time. The girlies even had a tatt each lol. Can certainly recommend it for all ages and for the whole day which makes it very good value. The food & drinks were a good price and amazingly tasty. The Management should give themselves and their staff a pat on the back. We will return probably bi annually.

We recently visited Drusillas for a family day out and what a great day we had. The sign posts from a few miles out make the park very easy to find and there is ample parking. The staff were very friendly from the first encounter until we left. We coincided our visit with the Mike the Knight theme event and my boy still believes he has meet the real knight. The costume was first class and identical to the TV character. Mike the knight aside there is plenty to do, from a large variety of animals to see and learn about through to a large play area for the children to expend their abundance of energy, through to a free Thomas the Tank engine rides for them to get a breather. Overall a really good day out and is fully recommended.

We were lucky enough to buy tickets online just as their online spring offer came in and we got £10 off our family ticket! There is just so much to do at this Park! There are loads of cute animals to see who looked happy and well cared for. There are fun activities around the zoo which our kids loved - they particularly liked having to stamp the booklets with all the animals they'd seen! Once you get to the end of the animals there is HUGE play area as well as panning for gold, face painting, mini golf and also a maze! At the end of the day we all warmed up in the soft play area (yes they have an indoor play area too!) and enjoyed hot drinks and toasted sandwiches which were YUM! We will definitely be returning - the day wasn't long enough. What a fab place! Buy tickets in April and May for the spring discount, it's well worth it!

We thought we just had to share our experience with everyone. My 6 year old grandaughter Isabelle desperately wanted to be a keeper for the day. So for a birthday present a number family put together for the gift. Myself, my wife, my daughter, isabelles aunt and uncle and 3 year old sister came too. We were met by the keeper and she took izzy and her nan round all day, while we followed on to each animal section. She had a wonderful time hand feeding the penguins, catching locusts and feeding them to the meerkats, washing their windows, hand feeding the capybaras (amazing)feeding mongoose, fruit bats (saying good morning to the sloth - he was very sleepy!) feeding the rainbow lorikeets, feeding the lemurs, so much was fitted in. The keeper that showed us around was lovely, kind and a really nice person. She made the day perfect. Excellent thing to do for kids or adults if you are in love with animals!!! Cant recommend highly eanough. The family following us around had a great day too. Plenty of photo opportunities. Will be going back in the summer too. It was freezing but its actually better to see the animals on a day like this, as in the summer they are just lying up away from the heat of the day!!

Took our 3 year old grandson today, Easter Monday, bitterly cold but sunny. Lots of people out and about. Most interesting and a great variety of animals, all well kept and well displayed, very educational for both children and adults. Loads of great entertainment for the children.
Plenty of choice of fast food but nothing upmarket.
Thought it rather expensive at £47.00 for 2 adults and a 3 year old. No concessions me me, an OAP, but then I am probably just an old scrooge ! Some activities are extra cost.

Had a lovely day out with my family here. My 4 year old son had a great time. Plenty to do and see with lots of little side quests for children to do such as a spotters book to stamp each page when you find the animal.
The park is laid out really well so you don't miss anything. Aswell as veiwing platforms on different levels.
Excellent value for money. Worth a visit and will be returning.

On visiting drusillas park with the kids on a cold march day I have to say it was just ok.
The price is a bit much, for small children.

Despite the cold weather Drusillas Park still provided a great day out. There are plenty of engaging play areas and attractions, but what makes this a year-round favourite with our inquisitive two-year-old are the animals, first and foremost. There's a great variety, all well cared for and homed in thoughtfully designed environments. The interactive experiences, where kids can enter supervised enclosures with lemurs and tropical birds, creates an even more exciting dynamic that adults will also enjoy. For children that love animals, Drusillas delivers offers a great day that gets the balance right between fun and learning.

Although we visited on a bitterly cold day, we were very impressed by the variety of animals and attractions. There are plenty of play areas for all age groups. We liked the layout and the fact you couldn't see everything at once. There were lots of surprises and the animals appeared to be very well cared for. We had a lovely lunch in the cafe and we soon warmed up when we were indoors for a while. The entry prices are very fair and we hope to visit again in the summer. The car park is free!

My family visited Drusilla’s on 9th February - when my daughter had a Meerkat Experience booked for her birthday.

From the off the experience was good. My conversations with Drusilla’s at time of booking were lovely and they were really kind and helpful and all the information and paperwork efficient.

On the day we had a lovely meal in the restaurant and had a great time in the park prior to the experience - I had not been to the park for some years as we moved up to London so was really pleased to see how great things were looking.........then off for the experience...........

We had a truly wonderful time and I was delighted I had to go in with daughter (as she's under 16) and see the Meerkats first hand. I smile as I remember the sheer delight on my daughters face and how much she truly loved the experience. The keeper was one of the loveliest people I have come into contact with and she gave us an entertaining and informative time with Meerkats she clearly cared greatly about.

It truly was a fun day and made the effort of driving all the way down to Alfriston well worth it - thank you!

I have recommended the experience to friends so sure you will see us again very soon!

We have had family membership for nearly ten years, during which time we have watched the zoo grow and change. We cannot praise highly enough the dedication of the keepers, friendliness of all staff, superb food in the restaurants, and fun play areas both inside and out. There is good committment to positive change to improve and enhance the visitor experience, and they have the best Father Christmas experience! Keep up the good work Drusillas, you are worth every penny and have provided us with so many happy memories. Thank you.

Even though it was a freezing February day, the visit was absolutely superb. It's small enough to keep young visitors (and older ones) interested, but still big enough to spend hours. The visibility is great, so toddlers can see all animals as well. Playground is massive and kids would have not wanted to leave. Children can also collect stamps when they have spotted animal in the leaflet which you can pick up right after entrance.

Also highly recommend their Explorers Café, food was delicious.

From the moment we arrived on a freezing day in Feb, my party of 6 adults and 4 children(1-5) were treated by all staff and volunteers with kindness, friendliness and knowledge. The animals were great and so easy to see by little ones. Facilities were spotless and food was very acceptable. Fat Controller was a great delight to both children and adults alike and made Thomas 's train even more special to our grandchildren. The indoor and outdoor play areas created a lot of laughter by us all. I would recommend Drusilla Park to everyone and only wish I lived a little nearer so we could all go again more frequently. Well done to all of you.

Despite the freezing temperatures on our visit during Feb Half term we had a brilliant family day out. Drusillas is a great zoo with a mixture of animals such as meerkats, monkeys, penguins, lemurs, gibbons, otters - and many more. But it also has a great play area which my kids absolutely loved and the star attraction, Thomas the Tank Engine. The place is spotlessly clean and staff are polite, helpful and friendly. Overall a great day out and better than the other local attractions by a mile.

We visited drusillas after our daughter handed us a leaflet and said she wanted to go so badly! We did think entry was pricey, however, when we arrived and had a thoroughly enjoyable day and realised it was well worth the money, for we had a good 5/6 hours of fun, seeing the animals, feeding the lorikeets (my personal favourite!), riding the Thomas train and just generally chilling out while our daughter let off steam playing on all the playground equipment (the playground was very impressive and she spent hours on the equipment).
The gift shops are great, the food wasn't the best, but it didn't hinder the enjoyment of our day. I would probably opt for the restaurant that sells proper cooked meals next time, as oppose to the hamburger outlet. There was nothing wrong with the food, but it's just your typical burger and chips, nothing fancy and no frills!
We have already purchased our tickets for this year and can't wait to go back again for what was one of the most pleasurable days out we've had and provided some lovely memories for our daughter and ourselves.
Would highly recommend drusillas to young families.

My twins have described zoo keeper for the day as 'the best day of their lives' from an educational prospective it provides and amazing opportunity for kinaesthetic learning, weighing, measuring, reading and comprehension. I took my children during term time and when applying for leave from their school was able to cover so many areas of the KS2 curriculum it was excepted from their Head Teacher as an extremely valuable experience.
My daughter has learning difficulties and this experience has given her the confidence to tackle her work at school.
I could write pages and pages congratulating the staff on their friendly, knowledgeable and professional manner, thanks Claire Bacon, you made my children's year!
Truly fantastic, what is for their birthday treat next year?? Apparently they couldn't think of anything they wanted to do more than go back to Drusilla's. Not even Disney Land!!!!! Now for 9 year olds that is saying something!

Apart from being slightly on the expensive side Drusillas is fantastic.
If you are close then get the annual pass. We have been at least 8 times in the last year and never get bored. It is always clean and has very good character events throughout the year to keep the young ones excited. Plenty to see in the zoo and the Lorakeets and Lema walkthroughs are excellent if timed correctly. There is a small indoor play and a huge outdoor play area, muni golf, maze, restaurants, do try the main restaurant near the exit as this is better than all the others and offers a discount to members. Well worth a visit any time of the year

Amazing - I'd recommend this for anyone that loves animal. I loved every minute of it, and everyone at the zoo was really friendly and helpful and made sure I had a great day. Katie (my keeper for the day) really looked after me, and knew all about the zoo and all the animals. Sending lots of love to Woody and the penguins! My best birthday present ever!

I was delighted to receive a 'Lunch with the Lemurs' gift for my birthday this month and had a great time feeding the naughty bunch with grapes and tamarind!

I got to visit the ring-tails and black lemurs in their 'bedroom' and got lots of fun photos of them as they jumped around and tried to steal my hair-clip.

My keeper was very friendly and informative, and although I have visited Drusillas a few times before, this was a very interesting behind the scenes view of the park.

My husband and I got our daughter a 'Zoo Keeper for the Day Experience' for Christmas. She says this is what she wants to do when she grows up. From the word go the staff were great - making the booking process very easy. We arrived on Friday 28/12 to be met by our keeper for the day - Katie. We started by being shown around the food preparation areas, and were amazed at the variety of food given to the animals. Katie was fabulous - and our daughter who is quite shy was soon chatting away happily and asking questions. The day was very hands on (and we were always given very clear instructions) and the amount of animals we came up close to was incredible (far far more than I had anticipated). I think it was absolutely fabulous value for money and would recommend it to anyone who likes animals. As we left my daughter made a comment that I will treasure forever, she said 'Mum I wish this day would never end'. What more of a recommendation could you want.

This place is a little gem that is really worth visiting. I have wonderful childhood memories of regularly visiting Drusilla's forty five years ago and it was with some trepidation that a return visit would spoil them. The current owners have packed the place with wonderful exhibits but kept the important thing in my memory, the miniature railway. The animal collection is well displayed and look interested in life. There are no large beasts here suffering in small enclosures. Druscillas could up the ante on the catering though. It is not up to modern standards.
