If you wonder where to take your kids so they can enjoy a great and fun day and still keep the budget tight, this is it.
The annual ticket is well worth because after three visits you are already saving money.
Many things to do, great walks , great views and great staff.

Wonderful day with the grandchildren. They played for hours in the adventure playground. My favourite was the ‘thomas’ miniature railway. None of us got tired of the joy and thrill of the ride. Even the ‘fat controller’ played his part. The nature walk on a sunny day is an easy stretch for young and older members of the family. A low tech, slower paced escape Great value

Lovely day out, not too expensive. I’d say pay the extra to get unlimited train rides as best thing there. :-)

Whilst taking part in a weekend for transgender folk and partners in Eastbourne, as another place to visit, a small group found we could fit in a return visit here in between other planned options. On arrival they had just suffered a power cut so entry payment had to be cash and limited refreshments available from the cafe. Luckily they found some generators to power to main railway signals. A good trip with helpful staff who were not fazed with M2F trans folk at thier attraction. We had hoped the new loco 'Flying Scotsman' would have been the duty loco but where content with 'Britannia'.

My son regularly visits with his childminder and even has an annual pass. (Which is brilliant value for how much it costs)

I finally took my son myself and am so annoyed it has taken me so long to visit.

My four year old was desperate to show me the train ride so we took a trip round the lake on it. You need to buy tickets but definitely worth it.

The big playground near the station is great and there is a seperate area for younger children. If you wander round the lake there is a maze, a few playhouses and another playground.

My son was also excited to watch one of the fishermen land a carp, it looked a good size too.

Looking forward to our next visit especially as I now have an annual pass too!

We had a super day out at this family-run, fun park, with our grandson. With the variety of attractions in the playground, plus the lovely, sit-on miniature trains, he was entertained to the max. The cafe is brightly painted, and serves a range of goodies to suit every taste, and the cuppa was freshly made. The fishing lake is pleasing to walk around, with a variety of wildlife & water fowl, though you need to be quiet(ish) as there are fishermen paying good money to be there. Parking is free and near to the attractions, so handy for buggies & wheelchairs.

We were looking after the youngest grandchild and wondered where to go on a sunny day. The EMSR was the right choice. Reasonable priced and enough to keep a 2 year old happy and safe.. Very clean and tidy. Food good value. A must return visit in the near future.

I think this place is really good for younger children, the obviouse fun of riding on a real steam miniature train, pretty good play areas, fun maze, long stroll round the lake with play stops, knome thingy, indoor coin operated train sets (take loads of 20p's) Study the photos in the train shed and a huge amount of hard work has gone into creating this railway and credit to them. A parent of young, especially pre schoolers can loose a big part of the day here, older kids 7+ may struggle- although? everyone loves a steam train ride.

Excellent if you have a toddler who loves trains. Everything is reasonably priced, entry was a little over £5 with one train ride or £2 more for unlimited rides. It's definatly worth getting unlimited. The track goes around a lake for about 5 minutes. You can also walk around the lake, with a couple of small play areas on the way round.

There is a large play area with lots to keep kids of all ages entertained and a separate toddler space. There are also model railways which cost 20p to run. The food and drinks are good value and we enjoyed what we had.

A fabulous experience for young and the not so young. Plenty to do to keep the little ones occupied and nice walks round the fishing lake. We brought our kids here when they were young and the Wadey family first started the miniature steam railway all those years ago. Now we bring our grandchildren and enjoy every minute.

Lovely little place with great play areas.
The train ride just covered one main circuit which was very nice.
We had booked for unlimited rides, but to be honest after 3 circuits we weren’t bothered about going again.
Food was very nice and “Mike” (The owner)was just oh so cheerful helping you on and off the train.
We thought we would spend a couple of hours there, but we spent just over 4.
Highly recommend it!

This is an ideal attraction for children, miniature train rides, indoor train layouts, a large array of outdoor play equipment, a maze, Toddler zone play area. There are lots of picnic tables dotted about and a well stocked café serving an array of sandwiches, and light meals. You can also enjoy a walk around the lake following the course of the railway. At several place you will see the train pass by, so don't forget to wave to those on the train. For the 'Thomas the tank Engine' and train enthusiast, the shop is well worth browsing.

Anyone with young children looking for a different activity in Eastbourne should put this on their list. The trains are lovingly maintained; the circuit is just the right length; there is a good-sized play area while waiting/between trips; and there's a place for refreshments too.

Great day out. Plenty to see and do. All the children seemed to be enjoying themselves. We had a two year old but suits older children too. On a nice day it would be easy to spend a whole day there. The nature walk is a good way to enjoy a stroll away from the park area.

This is really good for young children - I think older ones would get a bit bored, but great for little ones. Ideal for a half day out. Nice play areas and good basic cafe.

It was a great place to spend with young kids. They loved the trains and all the playgrounds. It was a hot day but was great to have loads of tree shades. Nice little Caffee was convenient, loads of picnic tables. Loved our visit.
