A great place for Adults and kids alike.
We drive there (10mins)and spend most of the day there, plenty to do,trips on the miniature train, lovely walks, play areas for the kids, cafe for food and drinks even a golf course nearby ( nothing to do with the miniature Railway though) there is also a small maze now,but its lovely to see the kids playing and enjoying themselves.
A happy day for everybody,well worth a visit,it is Seasonable though,so Summer months only,Enjoy.

Wow what a find! I am ashamed to say I have never visited before and how sad am I? We took our grandchildren here over the weekend and had a wonderful time:-) the swing parks are great for various ages. The walk around the lake was great and of course the icing on the cake was the steam train ride! All the staff were very polite pleasant and smiley! Facilities clean and well kept and the prices very agreeable. Will be getting a family ticket next year when it re-opens.

Very warm and welcoming place to visit with free parking & lots for kids to do. The train ride is just the tip of
what's here with interesting train sets
And a good playground for younger and older children. The walk around the fishing lakes is pleasent and broken up my a maze and some water features. I thought good value and clean and well thought out. Worth a visit

Like trains you'll love it. Go at a week end for steam otherwise its diesel. Worth it for countryside too.

This is a wonderful family run place that has plenty to keep little ones entertained for at least half a day. The trains and track itself are really lovely with a beautiful long ride around a lake. There are a few 20p activated toy train set displays including a bigger Thomas the Tank Engine set. The play areas are very well equipped for all ages with a smaller play area half-way around the lake walk.
There are now 2 different cabins offering food/snacks but all seating is outdoors so a bit weather-dependent. The food is very nice with a reasonable choice of simple 'cafe-type' options (toasted sandwiches, jacket potatoes kids lunch boxes)
If you are local the annual pass is definitely worth buying.

Not much choice for children. Not very inspiring food at all. Not particularly good value. The railway was a good ride. My children enjoyed the play area best with slides climbing frame and roundabout.

There is something for all ages to enjoy, children and adults alike. Depending on the choice of ticket you can have endless rides on the miniature trains that travel around a scenic track through a tunnel, over/under bridges passing around the lake and through the nature reserve where you can see swans, ducks, herons and other wildlife. The pathways give easy access to everybody. There is a large adventure playground well equipped for all ages, an area fenced off for the youngest children and a tree house halfway through the nature walk. There are plentiful picnic benches distributed around the site.
The cafe offers a good choice of freshly prepared sandwiches, snacks, cream teas, drinks and lunch bags all reasonably priced.
The toilet facilities are very good and well maintained.
There is also a well stocked shop linked to the ticket office but unlike so many attractions you are not forced to pass through it reducing 'pester power' but allowing you to buy train products if you wish.
This is a brilliant attraction run by a welcoming family who work so hard throughout the year maintaining and improving the facilities. It is well worth buying a season ticket if you live within a reasonable distance from the attraction as your children will want to return again and again!

Took our granddaughter here on a lovely sunny afternoon she loved the train ride and exploring the maze, there is enough to fill an afternoon and well worth the entry money, also plenty of food and ice cream available but you are allowed to take a picnic if you prefer

Passing on way to Eastbourne and decided on an impromptu visit. This is definitely a youngsters place, especially under-8 years old.

Ticket price of £5.25 adults and £4.75 for children (under 3s are free) only includes 1 train ride. You have to pay another £2 per person for unlimited rides. On a sunny day, it would be nice to walk around the large and very attractive woodland and pathways. There is a maze, but youngsters have obviously broken through the hedging in places spoiling that feature, and it is clear they are working on other scenic amusements but the features available are somewhat limited at the moment.

The steam trains run during August and weekends, other times they are diesel. This year (2015) they have been open daily from 28th March to 1st November. We visited on a weekday in mid September - it wasn't busy, in fact very quiet although a wam sunny afternoon. Whilst the one train ride I had is excellent, I did come away feeling that at this time of year an extra train ride for the standard price would be fair and could encourage more visitors.

Very nice park to spend some hours with the kids.
Ours kids loved it! They took the train 3 times.
The family running the park is really very nice and accommodating (it was raining the day we went there so there were not much people but they still ran the train just for us multiple times!)
Would recommend
