I love coming here. The kids can go on the train, which is tlong enough to be interesting and not too long to get bored. Then there are areas of playgrounds which the kids can spend hours on.

Great place to go with the family to let kids burn off energy. The train rides are fun, and the playgrounds extensive. Good choice of sensibly priced food and drinks available, friendly staff and ample free parking - give it a try

We visited with our 4 year old granddaughter for the first time on a lovely Sunday in August. Having driven past the sign on numerous occasions and not really having any idea of what was there, we were so pleasantly surprised to find a beautifully laid out park with lake, miniature railway, play equipment, fishing facilities, picnic areas with plenty of trees to shade, cafe selling good food and a shop. There were plenty of visitors but we didn't have to queue at all for the train, which ran constantly around the lake all day, and we went on it 3 times (would have been more but we ran out of time!). Our granddaughter really enjoyed everything and I consider the entrance fee very good value for money compared with some other places. The only thing I would add is that it is probably best suited for younger children, say up to about 6 years. Children over that would probably find limited entertainment value from it.

James is under 22 months, but he had a magical time here and so did we. We only stayed a couple of hours as his need to nap came early with all the activity, but had two train rides and played in the toddler area then a picnic lunch under the trees while everything happened around us. Watching the toy model railways as well as the people rider ones kept him completely captivated. It is good value and very friendly. Importantly, the loos are immaculate and all have baby changing facilities as you would expect. We are very impressed and will happily return.

Visited here today with my 2 1/2 year old, my friend and her 2 year old, what a great day we all had! The train ride is great fun both the boys loved it! We opted for unlimited rides although we only went on 2x, the various play areas are great and breaks up a lovely walk around the lake that we stopped at various points to look at the fish that had been caught by various people who were all happy to chat and show the boys what they had caught, only piece of advice I would offer for the smaller kids like mine i would say bring ur reins as the lake is open ( due to the fishing) so just for added peace of mind to keep them away from the edge, only regret is that we didn't get there earlier as we could have easily spend much longer there!

This is a must visit for families not only are the entry prices reasonable the play value is excellent. Lots of play structures all around the park, plenty of picnic benches and the trains are super. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the amenities good. Your arm may ache at the end from all the waving, but it is hard not to when a train full of smiling happy children goes past you. You would be mad to miss the E.M.S.R and we can't wait to go back.

Our grandson loves his visits here. Superb value for money. Very safe environment for little ones. As others say you can take your own food but I would recommend buying in there to support a local business. Toilets are very clean. Staff are all very friendly. I love the fact this is virtually on our door step and you don't have to get into huge traffic jams getting here. Even the rides are only 20p and our grandson loves putting his 20p in to see the trains go round. Lovely stools provided for them to stand on so they can see. I would highly recommend for Nans and Grandads looking after the children in the holidays .

Firstly, I live in Eastbourne and no I don't work for the miniture railway. All I will say is if you live in Eastbourne with young children you should buy an annual membership, about £13. If you don't live in Eastbourne still buy a annual membership. Its double the pric3 of a single entrance but then Ita free every other time. Oh and you get a free ride on the train. Kids will love it, playground with slides and climbmey (I know it's not an actual word, but it works) things. A toddlers area, a lake, a walk around the lake, a mini miniture railway shed, and a small playground half way around the lake. A new maze Has been added. Its nice, it's no Alton towers, so please don't expect it to be, but my kids love it and on a nice day spending a few hours there with a picnic and two screaming anklebiters endlessly demanding a mini milk. What could be better.

Visited this attraction today with my 9 year old grandson , a great time was had , an adventure area , a maze , a lovely country walk and a train ride. The admission price was reasonable and covered all attractions, only ice creams to buy. Lots of seating for Grandmas to sit.

This is a great day out for younger families.. Plan to spend most of the day here to take full advantage of unlimited train rides, the extensive areas and the lakeside walks.. The steamers tend to run during the weekends and holidays when the park is busier.. Best for under ten year olds really ..

This is spot-on for children, not much for the over 10s but little ones will love the variety of things to see and do. Grounds are beautifully kept, with fishing pitches available. The train ride takes 5 mins tops, so even when busy it doesn't take long to wait. Take your own lunch and buy unlimited train rides. Even waving to each passing train keeps the little ones entertained. Bargain, a hidden gem away from the seafront. Wonderfully low-tech.

We visited the Eastbourne Miniature Railway with our train-mad Grandson (two and a half) while he was staying with us. I was quite pleasantly surprised that there was no entry charge for him as he is under 3. There is also a senior entrance rate and the choice of one or unlimited rides. There is plenty of free car parking and the whole place is very well kept. The toilets were spotless which considering the number of young visitors most have taken some doing. As well as the steam train there is a good café, a shop, walks and a large playground. Everything to keep an active 2 year old entertained! There are plenty of places to have a picnic if you want to take your own food & drink. At closing time (5.00) one exhausted and happy Grandson plus happy Nanny & Grandpa! A great day out!

I found this expensive. There is a train, playground and lake walk. Hard to spend more than 3 hours tops.

Visited the Eastbourne Steam Railway Adventure Park during a stay at Eastbourne.
No direct bus service there so we went by Sussex Cars which are very reliable!
The park is a lovely piece of tranquil countryside with a nature walk around a beautiful natural lake surrounded by bull rushes; taking in the various play areas scattered around and features like a maze, little water fountains, a bridge and a woodland walk. The little train was a joy and you can take unlimited rides around the park. There also is a café area with outdoor seating and a gift shop. The lady issuing the entrance tickets was very friendly and positive and gave helpful info about the park. It is a well looked after pleasant place to visit and I will definitely be coming back here again!

When visiting our daughter in Pevensey we always try to take our grandson here one day,for a start its such a bargain.we go in as seniors and he has a pass that means he can go in for free plus 1 train ride
There is a smashing cafe,or you can take your own food and there are plenty of tables to use in the playground area.we also pop into the nearby Tesco and take sandwiches & a drink in as there are no restrictions which is refreshing
The toilets are surprisingly clean bearing in mind the amount of young children that use them ,plenty of car parking,a lake to walk round and lots lots more.dont miss it!!!!

If you are visiting Eastbourne this summer try and make time to see the Eastbourne Miniature Railway. Situated in Lottbridge Drive, on the way to Pevensey, there are little steam and diesel trains waiting waiting to whisk you off, whatever your age to a ride back into the past. The timetable is on internet and there are leaflets in the Tourist Office. The kids will love it, and the adults too. There is a cafe if you just want to watch the trains, and even fishing if you feel you want a more relaxing day. Not open all year round but worth looking into.

Amazing place for a family day out. Our little boy is 5 and enjoyed every minute as did his dad. Lots of things to do to keep kids entertained for the whole day and the kids will love the miniature train ride. Staff very friendly, especially the train driver. Would highly recommend.

I love these miniature railway systems! They are great for the kids and are so well looked after by the volunteer's who lovingly maintain them. There is always a queue on a nice day so be prepared to wait, it's worth it.

We went with my 2 year old a nice day out I would say you only need half a day here as we went to beach after only 10 mins away. What a lovely well maintained place it's spotless and a reasonably priced cafe which again is so clean.its worth buying the unlimited train rides as it's not much more and my 2 year wanted at least 3 go's lovely miniture train and pleasent surroundings it's also nice that's it's a family run Park so alot of care and attention to detail.

We love going with our one year old, and she enjoys it a lot.

In addition to the mini railway, there's a fab little cafe, that is very reasonably priced. Each time I go, they are adding more things for the kids to look at or play with. My daughter loves the different play houses and toddler playground, as well as the new grandma's garden.

It's such a relaxing spot as well, it's so nice to be surrounded by green.

We've got annual membership, which is a very reasonable price.

Took my friends small children out for the day and we had a lovely time, it's not too expensive and more than enough adventure playgrounds to keep the amused. We bought the multiple rider option and ended up being dragged on it 8 times! Far too many for an adult!
