Lovely location, good to walk along the beach and onto the pier. Everything was closed in the evening, nevertheless, it was nice to feel and smell wind and ocean.

We had a lovely walk on the pier there are the usual amusements and some gift shops. There is a lovely Tea Shop on the pier, we had a lovely cup of tea and a cake. Amazing chandeliers.

Traditional setting to have a fun afternoon. Victorian tea room is relaxing. The views can be stunning.

We are Australian tourists this pier was just what we had imagined and seen on to. Even though everything was closed, it was a lovely walk on the pier, just as we had imagined.

There is something lovely about walking along the pier, it's been nicely restored, feels bigger and relaxing. Lovely views of the sea, seafront buildings, distance ..., really nice.

And it's free, yippeee

We loved this pier. We visited on a cold November day but it was still a joy to marvel at some of what appeared to be original ironwork. It was spotlessly clean with plenty of seating. The decking was great and enabled my husband to use his walker with ease and no fear of getting wheels caught in gaps. There was plenty for the young who would love the arcades and the Victorian tearoom was a delight. It brought back happy memories of "service with a smile". It is a credit to Eastbourne and well worth a visit.

This pier is the best maintained pier I've seen there's the usual slot machine arcades and there is a lovely Victorian tearoom and also a shop where you can not only buy at very reasonable prices but watch being made beautiful glass ornaments of birds, flowers etc

A lovely old pier that has to visited if you are visiting Eastbourne. The walk up and back is well worth doing and don't forget your camera/camera phone as there are some lovely shots to be taken. There is a restaurant, bar, shops and of course the obligatory arcade to be enjoyed too.

Amazing place. Always loved coming here as a child and still do as an adult. It's always kept immaculately clean and friendly staff all around. A true gem.

It has been a slog to get things done-with not much help from council who were "given £2,000,000" and should have been for pier-instead of which 15% spent on stupid laser lights/£500,000 on tarting up Wish Tower for Rick Stein only for him to pull out last minute.nobody has any idea what balance spent on publically
Now good news one can walk around whole pier.
Self imposed sheik doing his best with Council blocking all progress.
Not funny when Insurance alone costs him £500,000 annual before he even starts.
Progress can be seen and wish him all the best.
Nice to stroll on even winter time..

A nice little pier to go for a walk along, on a chilly but dry autumn day.
Well worth a visit when in the area.

A good old fashioned sea side pier. Clean and in good condition, it is well worth a stroll along to admire the views along the coast on either side. It can be bracing and uplifting on a fresh autumn day. Recommend a stroll.

I have visited Eastbourne pier on countless occasions before. I was heartbroken to see it burn down some time ago. I visited again last weekend and was delighted to see how well the rebuild had gone. Some buildings weren't reconstructed but the wooden flooring is as good as it ever was and it's lost none of it's charm. Go and visit - it's a classic Victorian British seaside pier again.

Stepping onto the pier is like stepping back in time. Couple of shops to visit as well as a very quaint café that serves a good range of food and drink. One of the top attractions in Eastbourne. Got to be worth a visit.

This substantial pier offered plenty of walking room and it was peaceful and easy to settle to - without all the racket of so many amusements.

The pier is nice and clean, pleasant walk to the end. Other than a night club/ bar at the end there is not much to visit. Small amusements in the centre is ok for a few minutes.
Plenty of places to sit and take in the views.

Lovely old Pier kept in great condition, all the tradition Pier attractions and a good restaurant, nice food, not expensive and friendly efficient service.
There are catering options for parties and a club which I didn`t sample but good interesting location - memorable.

A nice walk along the pier for sure but there's not really much that interested us other than the walk. There is a tea shop, bar and arcade but we did not try them.
It was clean and well kept.

Although it doesnt have the fairground attractions of brighton pier it still holds a more relaxed and nostalgic feel. Like stepping back in time. Gift and souvenir shops, glass studio, tea rooms and chip shop buzzing by day with families, couples and the older generation changes when the sun goes down. The nightclub at the end of the pier then springs into life and the younger generation take over.
If you enjoy a relaxing stroll in the afternoon, eastbourne pier is worth a look.

hadn't visited the pier since the great fire. Pleasantly surprised. The owner (pier in private hands) has done a lot of work here. Yes there are wide open spaces, but it is a pier with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the sunshine and sea breezes. Rome wasn't built in a day and to get this all up and running in quite a short space of time... the Sheik deserves a pat on the back and not so much criticism. Make a visit, it won't cost you anything
