During the day it's nice to stroll on the pier.
In the nighttimes (especally on Wednesday nights) it's a great place to party.
At the end of the pier there is a nightclub and on Wednesdays it's pretty busy with lot's of youngsters having a great time and going crazy on funky beats.
Would definately return again when i'm around Eastbourne.

The weather was perfect and we enjoyed a walk along the beach and then onto the pier. Lovely view you could see for miles from the pier We had a very nice coffee sat outside in the sunshine and enjoyed looking around the gift shops on the pier too.

Everything was closed by 5pm. The bar at the end of the pier is not very welcoming or clean, The designated smoking area had no ashtrays available.

Eastbourne Pier is a typical English pier. It does not disappoint. We enjoyed a bag of chips and a stroll and a sit down just soaking up the atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the shop where the glass ornaments were made and sold.

We decided to have cream tea and scones for a quick lunch. The scones were hard and not heated but the decor was interesting with huge chandeliers and linen tablecloths. We were overlooking the English Channel. The view was lovely.

We just had to wander round the pier when we reached the end of our six days walking the South Downs Way - it would be odd to come all the way to Eastbourne and not do so, especially as there is no admission fee. Regardless of what you may think of the various shops, etc. on the pier, it is great to see that it is in a pretty good state of repair compared with some other seaside piers.
Long may it last.

We were in Eastbourne for a few days and took a stroll along this pier. It was a pleasant surprise to find it had a very pleasant cafe and bar and that everything looked well cared for and maintained. One of the nicest of the many seaside piers we have seen

This is a very odd pier. It starts off with a very wide empty space then there is what looks to be a charming tea place (that has good reviews I have noticed) and a few tiny arcades and shops.
In summer it seems to be a lot busier and of course there are marvellous views along the coast but it is a strangely quiet and expansive space in general. Well kept though.

I spent a few happy hours in glorious sunshine on this marvellous Victotian pier sitting in my heelchairt being wheelrd around by my wonderful daughter. We partook of REAL TEA (in a splendid tea pot - no tea bags and just like leaves like I remember from long ago. It is well worth a visit !

The pier has improved over the last few years at no doubt great cost to the new owner after being fire damaged. Even with the "Gold" Domes that caused much controversy and intervention by the Planning Dept and other "bodies. I fail to see how the "Sheik"can make much money on the property with its wide clear, clean spaces providing excellent views of the "Downs" and seafront without an entrance fee to Eastbournes many visitors and residents, but i hope he can continue its upkeep to the present standard without making it too"tacky". It is his so why not call it "Sheikspeare" LOL. Praise where it is due to a man no doubt constantly dipping into his pocket to upkeep this splendid attraction for the people

We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather last Sunday so decided to have lunch yummy fish and chips from fish & chip shop at beginning of the pier! Yummy food enjoyed outside in the sun! The seagulls kept swooping but luckily didn't spoil the experience.

The pier is lovely and has lots to do, the Victorian tea room looked splendid, this chandeliers are beautiful but we didn't visit this time but definitely bookmarked for next visit.
We enjoyed a lovely walk around the pier after our food and would definitely visit again when we have more time!

I wanted to see what all the fuss was about... the domes on the Eastbourne pier have been repainted in gold...they used to be a dull grey colour...now they are gleaming...at last someone is looking after the place now...it looks much cleaner than my last visit and has some lovely little shops to while away the time...

We were at the Ocean Suite as guests for a company dinner and very pleasant it was too. Unfortunately the weather wasn't good and it was a bit dark so we didn't get the best of the venue's superb views. However it is very smart, clearly recently refurbished, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Also nothing wrong with the food- huge portions perhaps a bit too much but that is being churlish. Nice place.

Really well kept pier, not overly commercial, with a lovely tearooms. Little quirky shops, and old fashioned penny arcades, and a retro style bar.
Beautiful views of the coastline and sea.

The pier was opposite our hotel and so we just had to visit. It is free to go on the pier and there are several small individual shops, a Victorian tea room and at the far end, function rooms available to hire.

Nothing like a walk on the pier taking in the sounds and looking back at the seafront. Plenty of places to sit and chill, have a drink and good old fish and chips.

This was our first visit back to the pier since the fire and it has been transformed. There are gold lion statues erected along the pier promenade and there are the usual gift shops, amusement arcades and tea room. The pier has well and truly been brought back from the ashes.

A nice stroll down the pier in the sun eating our ice cream. A couple of small shops, a nice tea room. There was terrible loud music coming from the function room at the end of the pier. Spoilt a nice walk in the sun. Lovely views of the ocean and the Eastbourne beach front.
