We recently visited Eastbourne and stayed near the pier. We walked past it twice a day and appreciated how beautiful it was at all times of day. On the last day we went onto the pier and appreciated the engineering feat. At the end of the pier you really felt that you were right out at sea. Well worth a visit.

This is a wonderful pier which is a pleasure to walk around, however everything closes up in the early evening which is a real shame as it would be nice to sit and eat/drink later in the day and still enjoy the sea.

A totally user friendly environment - lovingly restored and improved. Spotlessly clean and a wonderful venue for weddings or special functions.

Can have afternoon tea or play a few slot games if you like, but it's nice to walk around and gives good views back to the beaches and town.

There is such potential for this pier that is being missed . Apparently has been bought by someone and some decoration/ painting has been done. There is a lot of vacant space that is not being utilised. One of the most boring piers I have ever been on

Such a pretty pier! The building alone is gorgeous! The water surrounding was gorgeous! We didn't play any of the games but those that were there seemed to be having a great time! Coming from the states we had never been to a beach without sand but it was beautiful all the same!

This pier is well maintained & clean. Not too long but long enough to let you help your digestion. Usual pier amusements if that's what floats your boat.

Last week my husband and I visited Eastbourne Pier. The grass effect at the entrance is a lovely shade of green and gives the effect that you are walking into your favourite auntie's front room.

The Victorian Tearoom is an oasis of tranquility and the view from the windows is truly spectacular. The prices are so reasonable and the food so good that diets are forgotten while eating there.

Everything on the pier reminds us of our childhood.

The whole place is so well kept and really clean it is obvious that the staff take a pride in their pier.

Spend the day here, lovely beach abide pebbly. Some nice restaurants and lovely views. Felt I was in a french town . Of course the main street was very much a high street but off the high street the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. Highly recommended for a stay.

Eastbourne Pier caught fire some 3 years ago and is owned by an Arab who has completely maintained it! Large open space to the front and is still being renovated but open to the public - has beautiful gold domes giving it an Middle Eastern flavour. There is talk of a boat ride from the end of the pier. Worth a visit.

Already left lots of footprints on the pier. I walk on the pier almost every day when im in Eastbourne. It's got a few shops, but more important, the view of eastbourne's seafront and the sea itself is gorgeous. For me the pier means a nice stroll. Thank god it survived the fire a few years ago! Eastbourne without it's pier just wouldn't be the same.
