It can recall the old atmosphere. New and old shops, lovely fish&chips or scones.

When in the glass blowing shop brought some glass animals, very dainty and cheap to buy. Also had Tea & Cake in the Victorian Tea Rooms, very friendly and lovely atmosphere. We had a drink on another day in the bar further down the bear, decorated very quirky you need to go and have a look. Not much else to do on the Pier except walk but I quite like that unlike Brighton Pier that is too commercialised.

Always a favourite for a weekend getaway...and first experiences for my grandchildren. suits all ages...always a busy shopping centre 10minutes walk away..almost every shop you want...and copious amounts of lovely coffee shops!! The aarndale shopping centre is being renovated..but doesnt impinge on your shopping at all. All hours eating places...I never tire from this seaside resort. BUT for the younger gamblers to put your coppers into....due to the main part of the pier catching fire..it also got rid of the amusement arcade which is really a must for children....now thays gone...I hope the council will approve another as its really needed for that seaside feel and all ages love the 2p....10p etc machine...PLEASE BRING IT BACK. Otherwise this Eastbourne seaside is great!!!

A lovely pier without the nasty penny arcades that blight most. Well maintained with lots of seating and a pleasant bar at the end. Probably more could be made of it, but this was the first sunny weekend of the season, so there's time yet.

Really nice pier, saw the nightclub there and it must be the best looking night club i've seen. Very scenic for a walk as well.

Check out Brighton's Pier as it is much much better and bigger.
