Eastbourne Pier

One of my favourite piers along the South Coast. It's not as busy as Brighton Pier, nor is it as barren as Hastings Pier, it's somewhere in-between. Plus, there are some truly great views all around the pier that makes the visit worthwhile.

It's being done up! It has its wonderful trade mark gold touches such as lions and turrets. The amusements have been moved and had more than enough to keep a happy 8 year old happy. There are shops to come. Plenty of seating, the traditional designs haven't been lost. Music, lots of outdoor seating for relaxing for a while. The usual sorts of food on offer. A pier without the manic but fun fair of Brighton. Eastbourne has it's own pretty traditional charm. Look forward to seeing the rest of the updates.

Classic seaside pier. Good views of the seafront, and the usual entertainments. Wish they hadn't repainted the domes and cast iron decorations in gaudy gold. Tacky. Otherwise worth a visit.Visited on

Liked the Victorian tea room. Very pleasant and reasonably priced menu. The amusements are not as good as they used to be. Not much choice all pretty much the same. Not very amusing.

Getting back to the way it was, arcades could do with a bit of upgrading, maybe an adult machine section like there used to be would be nice, don't want to play for pointless tickets all the time. Some nice little shops on there and the tea rooms, so definitely worth a walk down if you're in Eastbourne

My adopted home town, I moved here with my parents when I was fifteen, and have been here ever since. There's a pebbly beach, and the south downs on the western end.

Needs a lot of tender loving care! not much open, could be a gold mine. Ice creams at 1 scope for £2.80 a bit expensive.

Nice place for a walk, some photos and eat or drink something. Nothing is missing: pub, desserts, games room and delicious Greek.

A small pier with less to do than many others, but very well kept and less tacky with it. The restaurant at the end is a stunning building, particularly on the inside and it looked liked the food was made to match!Visited on

Eastbourne Pier or Sheikh pier is in the beautiful place of Eastbourne. This place has a lot of cafes, restaurant, eateries as well as amusement games centre. This pier is quite beautiful like the Brighton one. The shops are not that much cause less number of visitors visit this place. I really liked the quiet and peaceful pier. Just few people and seagulls and you have plenty of time to sit and relax.

Traditionally British . Take a stroll round the end of the pier, play on the slot machines, or have a drink in the bar, often with live music.
Gyros Greek food is not to be missed !
