We bought ice-cream here which was yummy. Also picked up buckets and nets for the kids to go to Birling Gap rock pooling. It was quite easy to park around here too (a Wednesday morning). Lovely long walk along the beach too.

We spent an weekend at Eastbourne and we stayed in a hole near seafront! Lovely views and even though it was only 15 degrees, we enjoyed walking along the pier

It's a wonderful place to visit a very clean town, the beaches are mainly shingle, and rocks but beautiful none the less. You can walk for miles enjoying the scenary around you, and many different plants growing along the promenade. Recommended. See photos.
