I was here at an off time. Tons of construction on the pier and in the area. It looks sort of depressing. Again, the weather was cold and windy so not too much was happening while I was there.

Spent an hour or so here as was visiting, same as most piers really with the usual candy floss and amusement arcades.

I visited the pier for the first time yesterday and was taken back to an era of tea dances and frolicks! I would recommend a visit to the glassware shop/factory. The quaint tea room and it's fantastic chandelier is quite something too! Well worth a visit although as it was out of season not all attractions were open, would love to come back during the summer months when I'm sure the pier comes alive!!

My first visit to Eastbourne and unfortunately wasn't impressed with the pier. Apart from the usual slot machines and small cafe, very little else to do or see. Eastbourne town centre was very good though.

The view was lovely parts of the pier was a little run down however the sea view made it worth it , the glasswork shop was lovely you could watch them making the beautiful glass decorations while your looking and the prices were reasonable too

The pier is not big but it has games, restaurant, shops for cute souvenirs, lovely sea vie, it is kept clean at all times.

This is a windy February day, we enjoyed a stroll along here but it’s run down, lots of seagull droppings everywhere, it’s a shame really because lots of families about, I understand the upkeep must be costly but if you are goi g to have this landmark and it’s a centre point for folks it needs some attention. The bar was good and tidy inside.

I took a wistful and nostalgiac walk on the pier on a recent trip to Eastbourne. Sadly because of the recent fire (presumably) it is a shadow of its former self. It is always worth a visit though.

Worth a wander to see the glass shop for sure but otherwise, out of high session, there’s very little to see or do unless you fancy a dingy amusement arcade.

I visited eastbourne pier with a friend in the month of January, upon walking on there was a
Fish n chip shop on the right just as go on to pier & amusements on the left further down is a nice gift shop on the left and further down on right some other gift shops with a fair size cafe in the middle and the main building is just full of amusements if your like that sort of thing or with kids,I hope this has been helpful.

This is one of Enngland'S great traditional piers and it's great yhat most of it has been preserved. It would be nice to see the old theatre restored even if it was for private hire. Good to see the old fishing decks being used ionce more. Restaurant is OK but service is a little slow.

Early January on a wild and windy day we took a stroll along this delightful pier. Although we did not visit the Restaurants they looked very inviting. I would imagine that in the Summer a good few hours could be spent on Eastbourne Pier. It has a large amusement arcade at the end. So plenty of change would be needed.

Out of season visit very quiet with some refurbishment going on , good to stretch ones legs.
The rain sent us for cover. Can't say much about the Tea Room 1930 style.

Eastbourne is a town, seaside resort and borough in the non-metropolitan county of East Sussex on the south coast of England, 19 miles (31 km) east of Brighton. I and my wife spent a couple of days in this beautiful town right near the famous pier in April 2019. It’s a beautiful place to spend your summer holidays in England.

Free entry and great views from down the end especially. Sadly it is suffering at present from the complete road closure along the seafront passing right outside its entrance and for quite a distance beyond in both directions. The burnt out shell of the hotel opposite creates a bit of an impression of a war zone ever since the disasterous fire last November. The whole area is now a no go for traffic. Please note that NO buses either can get anywhere near the pier any more. You have to go into the town to find any if you want to get to Brighton or Hastings in the foreseeable and indeed distant future. Hope all the sightseers will patronise the pier though.

The Pier is iconic...been on it since 1948 - 7 years old! Great to walk along now and some wonderful views esp during Airbourne. I love this pier!

On a very cold new years day we dropped into the old tea rooms on the pier what a cracking place to sit and watch the world go by, and that's what we did for 20 minutes whil9we waited for someone to come to our table to take our order. After 20 minutes we gave up and walked out, and continued our stroll along the pier. The next building was a cafe/bar, it was open so we entered looking around I counted 9 customers. The wife sat at a table and I walked to the counter and ordered 2 teas and was told sorry all our hot drinks mugs are out with customers. Looking around the 9 customers 7 had mugs 2 were drinking coke.
We had to wait until 2 customers returned their mugs before our order could be supplied. How the owner expects to make any money with just 7 mugs is beyond me.
The pier itself was in very good condition and makes a pleasant walk very enjoyable
