The food is incredible with excellent flavours, all cooked to order and so much choice. Go with an empty tum and you will come out full. A very welcoming owner who accommodated my need for Gluten Free food. We will take friends to enjoy the ambience and whole experience of eating at this outstanding restaurant

My husband and I visited the restaurant on a Thursday night, we had seen how popular it was so we booked, which proved very sensible.
Our starters were Greek sausage braised with tomato, onions and peppers, which my husband said was very tasty. My octopus was, as I had feared, a tad chewy but still flavoursome and enjoyable. Main courses were the beef stifado, which came in the biggest serving bowl we have ever seen and was judged one of the best he has eaten by my husband. Feeling lazy I had asked if the prawns were served on the shell, and was pleased to see they just had their tails on. Served with a savoury rice they were spicy, succulent and plentiful.
We had decided that we wouldn't have a sweet, but we were both tempted by the homemade baklava, the portion wasn't enormous but was complimented by the vanilla ice cream. All washed down with a bottle of house white wine, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be back next time we are in Eastbourne.

Fabulous food. Reminded us of our trip to Cyprus last year. The feta cheese and chilli starter is the best!!! Definitely recommend.

Was very lucky to walk in and get a table as it was very busy. We had a couple of starters to share , halloumi, hummus and tzatziki all were very good and very tasty. For our mains I had the chicken kebab and my husband has the chops. They were cooked to perfection .The chicken was very moist and tasty was served with chips and you got a bit of side salad and rice. The chops too was very tasty . We had a bit of baklava and ice cream to share and that too was absolutely gorgeous . Couldn't fault the food or the service as the waitresses were friendly . Loved everything about it

Oh you lucky people that live near this place! (I sadly do not, otherwise I’d be frequenting this place most weeks!) My husband and I decided to go for it and order 6 mezze dishes, sooooo glad we did. We love trying different dishes and not one disappointed! There was this melted cheese, chilli and feta dish with warm pita - my goodness! Delicious! Oooo yeah and meatballs in tomato sauce on a larger warmed pita - who knew pita bread was so tasty?! The bar has been raised! Then these samosas came out, recommended by the waitress - Delicious! Oooo the carrot croquets...delicious!!!!! Can’t write anymore...I’m going back! You get the picture- it’s all delicious!!! Best Greek we’ve ever eaten!

Sat down and a glass of water instantly arrived, always a nice touch.Shared starter terrific, mains brilliant including potato and carrot mash which tasted like 75/25 so the spuds were not overpowered.
Traditional Greek deserts.Only minor thing was being served Strongbow cider which for some unknown reason includes artificial sweetners which tastes awful - get some Aspall on order!

We were a party of 4 adults and 1 kid. We ordered 5 mezes. The food kept coming, too much , we could not finish it. Friendly staff. Good service.

As a lover of Greek food I can honestly recommend this great restaurant. We were a group of four visiting here. We all had starter, mains, desserts as well as drinks and spirits at the end and it only came to £90 wow. the restaurant staff are friendly and service is quick. you must book as it gets busy 10/10

Walked along the road to the restaurant passing several other eateries that were empty and wondered where we were going.
We arrived and found life.The restaurant was heaving with a sea of happy faces looking at us. The food being served looked very tasty. We had not booked but would recommend that you do.We were offered a table downstairs and sat with 2 large groups,one a birthday party and another a hen party. The ambiance was great with renditions of happy birthday to you and happy wedding to you.
The food was delicious and all 4 of us were very happy with our choices.I would love to return again to try more from the menu.

I have family who live in Southern Cyprus, and I miss the authenticity of Greek cuisine over here. Not now!! I absolutely love this place. If I have one word of caution - DO NOT over-order!! The meze is really generous and you need to be hungry to get through it. The atmosphere here is great - I was last here with a group of ladies who all sing together - we sang a Happy Birthday to the one in our group who was celebrating....and then everybody joined in. We were even requested to sing again to someone else who was celebrating.
The food is all freshly cooked on the premises to proper Greek traditional recipes.You will need to book well in advance as this place is as busy as it deserves to be.

We were in Eastbourne for the night and noticed this restaurant although we had booked elsewhere. We got a friendly welcome and decided to have the Meze and everything we had we could not fault. They even changed one of the dishes to incorporate my taste. I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough

My husband and I went to the Gr/eat Greek Restaurant for my birthday last Saturday 2nd March for our celebration meal. All the food was excellent and was freshly prepared and cooked for us as soon as we had placed our order. I had the Greek salad and the Sea Bream which was the best I have ever tasted and my husband had one of the chicken dishes which he thoroughly enjoyed. Vasilis and his staff are always delightful and friendly and very happy to please. We live in Worthing and visit Eastbourne several times each year to go to theatre shows and for special occasions and have always found time to dine at this restaurant as we cannot fault the food. As we were leaving last week, I mentioned to Vasilis that it was my birthday and he reached over to the shelf behind us and produced a jar of bergamot in syrup for me as a birthday present. What a kind gesture! See you again very soon Vasilis.

We visited the Restaurant with our friends, they’d been quite a while ago, but had told it was good. So I checked out the menu for an option for me and I was super impressed, tonnes of Vegan/veggie options! This almost never happens in Eastbourne.
The food was amazing. I had split pea dip with pitta & Mushroom stew with carrot & potato mash. The portions are big, so great value for money too.To finish I had to have some Baklava, it was the best I have ever had! So syrupy, but not in an overly sickly way, perfect.
The wine choices were great too (not sure whether they were vegan though).It was a fabulous evening and the staff were great.
I cannot recommend this place enough. Go go go.

We visited this restaurant for lunch, fortunately we arrived early as it had lots of tables reserved, we had not booked. The two course lunch is very good value for money and we both enjoyed our meal. There is a nice atmosphere and though they were busy the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We would love to eat here again.

Four of us had lunch recently at Gr/Eat. The serving staff were very courteous and friendly, but that is as far as I can go. Understandably the lunch menu is more limited than the evening choice, but the meal was very under par. Of the starters I would say the humous was probably the nicest. The carrot croquettes were really overcooked. I can remember my own starter as I really didn't enjoy it. Our chicken souvlaki was overcooked and dry. The two Mousakas looked bland and overcooked too.

I was looking for a restaurant to have lunch with a work colleague and just liked the look of the place. It is fresh, clean and the colour scheme is inviting. I am not a huge fan of Greek food but haven't been to a Greek restaurant in years so thought I would give it a go. We had various bits of the menu and it was all very tasty. Atmosphere was nice. Service was excellent and they seemed to have a few repeat customers there, which is always a good sign. The staff were very friendly and efficient and told us they did special greek nights in the evenings etc. Enjoyed our lunch and I would definitely go back. I have recommended it already.
