This restaurant did not let us down! Very tasty Greek food which is so fresh and well seasoned. There is a good drinks selection too, and a killer Greek coffee for those who love their coffee strong! We opted for the mixed mezze which is a selection of starters, mains and dessert. We were not prepared for how much arrived! They kept bringing dish after dish and we thought it had finished... only to discover that was the starters! Overall we had a feta salad, olives, bread, hummus, tzatiki, tarama, meatballs, sausage, then for mains, a kebab, chips, stifado and rice. Then they brought out dessert which was different pastries and ice cream. All of that food only cost £20ish a head.

Had a fabulous meal. Octopus starter was Michelin Star standard. The food was exceptional, great atmosphere. Service excellent and waitress Mykaela was friendly and attentive. Made 2 reservations already to avoid disappointment.

Went here on Saturday for the first time, it won't be the last. There was only another couple in there when we went in at 1pm but it soon filled up. We order Meze's and starters from the menu, didn't do the set menu as we know the things we like best. Everything was delicious, and we didn't have to wait long for our food, lovely atmosphere too.

We love Greek restaurants but they seem to be thin on the ground. Visiting Eastbourne we found this recommended by Trip Advisor and went there for lunch today. It was really very good. Actually tasted like food does in Greece (even the chips - done with lemon I guess), best tara I have had for a long time, lovely Retsina and great service. We had the meze which was tasty and perfect for lunch. We will be returning for an evening meal. Incidentally the area seems to have a number of other interesting restaurants.

Read the reviews before booking lunch here with my Mum. We shared a mix of delicious mezes and starters. We enjoyed everything, we will definitely be back with more of the family. What a wonderful find !

We came after a recommendation from a local. We were not disappointed a lovely little taste of Greece, the restaurant had a great feel to it and staff were really friendly. We had a mix dip starter then steak and chicken souvlaki for mains, the souvlaki was amazing. I’d say it’s fairly cheap as well our starter, 2 mains, 2 mythos and glass of house wine was around £45

Called in on the off chance on a Friday night after reading great reviews. The very friendly staff managed to fit us in. So glad they did. We both had the £19.99 meze and it was excellent. The starters were tasty and plentiful. The mains kept coming. I wished I could have eaten more. The souvlaki and stifado were lovely. Finished off with a couple of little sweets. Excellent value at £50 including 3 glasses of wine. Wish this was nearer as I definitely be back

Visited this Greek restaurant having read the glowing reviews on Trip Advisor. We can only add positively. We were met promptly at the door, for me always a good start. We had dips as a starter and they were both tasty and well priced. My wife had the chicken souvlaki and I had swordfish. Both excellent. We had wine by the glass and again they were both pleasant and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was wonderful. Will definitely visit again.

Visited for my husband’s birthday. The place was packed which says it all as it was a Tuesday night! Food was fabulous and the staff friendly and attentive. Good value as well. Would absolutely recommend a visit and we will definitely be back!!

Vicky & Vasilis consistently provide the best welcome, outstanding food and great service delivered in a warm, comfortable and really friendly environment. Gr/eat is our favourite restaurant combining everything one could want from eating out with outstanding value! It is no surprise that getting a table is difficult - their hard work is well rewarded with the restaurant's obvious popularity. Selfishly, I would be happy if not too many others found out about this gem of culinary excellence in the heart of Eastbourne!

We had a fantastic evening meal here over the busy Bank Holiday weekend. We decided on the set meze menu for £19.99 per person. Staff were very friendly and the food was excellent and plentiful. I would definitely recommend booking as the place is quite small (about 30 covers) and we saw a number of people being turned away.

We popped into here on the off chance that we could have a meal before a concert. What a find! Fabulous food with a great choice of dishes, reasonable prices and helpful, efficient staff. Will definitely return!

Early evening meal, for a bit of an occasion. Warm welcome from Vasili. Food was excellent freshly prepared. Try the mixed dips starter. Authentic tzatziki, home made, better than some I have tasted in Greece (I've tried plenty in 30 years). Taramasalata so good. Subtle flavour, good texture and NOT bright pink. Served with quality hummus & warm pitta bread. You could make a meal of 2 x mixed dips & a Greek salad if you wanted. We also had souvlaki, 1 pork, 1 chicken. So well presented, & served with a smile of course. A beer & a glass or 2 of Retsina, the best Greek cuisine for miles around, probably. Booking advisable , as reputation spreads.

At first We have been wondering where we should do our monthly meeting,but shortly our CEO comes with a great idea which to have the meeting in Gr/eat restaurants as they have a private seats downstairs.We arrived all on time to the main entrance as they been waiting for us with a warm welcoming from the owner.
The seats were very comfortable and tables been professional organised.I've ordered the fried calamari for starters and it was a great choice because I've never had them like the way been cooked very professionally!
Time for the main course as I had the pork souvlaki which I really recommend it with an amazing flavours,it Been served with lovely deep (tzatziki) and home made chips including a salad.The food was so amazing and the service as the staff were very friendly and we felt like home as all my colleagues been happy and satisfied

Staff/ owners are very friendly and it truly is an authentic taste of Greece.My wife didn’t enjoy her moussaka quite as much as she expected on our most recent visit hence the 4 stars and not 5 but we will certainly be going back as this is certainly one of the better restaurants in Eastbourne. Booking recommended as it can get quite busy!

When we visited Eastbourne last year we came here for my partners birthday dinner and had the meze to share (along with extra plates for our baby boy and toddler). We haven’t been back to Eastbourne since this bank holiday weekend and we’re grateful they could fit us in again.
Again, the meze is so delicious we ordered it again. The starters were fresh and plentiful and the mains were amazing. Everything we tried was really tasty and we certainly didn’t leave hungry.
Our youngest (15 months) decided to have a nuclear meltdown half way through our meal but they were great, no “funny looks” while we took it in turns to take him outside to walk up and down to give each other time to eat our food!! They even packed up our deserts to take away.
The owners and staff are all super friendly, the food is fantastic and it’s great value for money.
I completely understand and agree with all the rave reviews on here.

We booked last minute, and were lucky to get a table. The staff were all very friendly and the service was excellent from the minute we walked in. The restaurant had a really lovely ambience and nice buzzy atmosphere. Obviously a popular choice! The food was great - really fresh, very well cooked and very tasty. Would highly recommend.
