We were in Eastbourne for work. Reached early and decided to have lunch. I went by the Tripadvisor ratings and dined at Gr/eat. What a treat!
Service was friendly and efficient. Hubby had the Chicken Soulaki and I had the veggie moussaka. Both meals served piping hot, with great sides. Portions were generous. We polished it all off and had desserts of baklawa and a suggestion from our lovely waitress. Finished with fantastic Greek coffee.
I liked the mousakka so much that had two portions packed as a take away. They were enjoyed on a cold winter evening :)

We ate at gr.eat with a friend (who was already a fan of gr.eat) on a busy Saturday evening. The whole place was full by 8pm and had a lovely informal busy feel to it. Our friend recommended the special Greek meze with consisted of 3 courses for £19. For each course, the entire table was covered in several dishes of gorgeous greek foods, each presented beautifully. The bread also served with the meal was perfect. Each course was very filling so we did have to ask for a long break between each round of food. Excellent value for money and highly recommended. House wine was pretty good too.

Stayed in Eastbourne a few days so thought we would have a Greek meal. We were not let down , food top rate, service great and prices very reasonable. Would give it a try if your in Eastbourne.

There was 7 of us for a birthday meal. Staff were attentive. We had mixed dips while we were deciding what to order. There was a little rush between starters arriving and dips being cleared. However that did not impede on the night. Rest of the meal was well timed. All the food we had was very well cooked and presented. Unfortunately we didnt have room for dessert. Would definitely book again. Well done all keep up the good work.

I am so happy to found authentic Greek restaurant in Eastbourne!!!try it and you will not be disappointed! I am student and still as a restaurant is very good for my budget! Mum don't need to sent me products from Greece any more ;)

The restaurant was not busy as might be expected on a wet & windy November afternoon but in my view the people of Eastbourne were missing out on a real treat. The Set Mezze meal that the four of us choose was of excellent quality and the service was good without being overpowering at all. The cost was very reasonable as well so hopefully we will be back in the future.

Read about this place on trip advisor , took a chance and got a table last night. Decor is very tasteful , love the bottles with stars in them. Excellent service and very nice, well presented food. The Taramasalata was the best we have ever tasted. No wonder this is popular, well deserves it

We visited on the day of our arrival in Eastbourne whilst we were searching for a convenient mid afternoon eatery. The lunch menu was not vast but had enough choice to allow for a challenging selection. The restaurant was clean and the service very personable. When the food arrived it was piping hot, well presented and of a good size. The wine selection is reasonable and the prices competitive. I would certainly visit again.

Having been in Greece earlier this year I was looking forward to tasting some Greek food again and I wasn't disappointed. Tasty gyros. We didn't have time for anything else but would like to visit again when next in Eastbourne.

After few visits, the food is always great. We choose the surprised Mezze both time and we were not disappointed. The amount of food you get for the price is fantastic. Great Atmosphere . Very nice staff. Booking is recommended for the weekend .

We live in London but have family in Eastbourne so we visit frequently. London has over 19,000 restaurants - many excellent ones, but in Eastbourne we always struggle to get decent food...until now. This is the first and only restaurant in Eastbourne that lives up to its name! The owners have recently come straight from Greece to the UK and brought a genuinely authentic restaurant with them.
Tarama is superb - made the traditional way with potatoes. They have an excellent Fava ....my favourite Greek dip which is so rarely found in the UK! Portions are real Greek portions ...very generous.
They could do with one extra member of staff for quicker service but with food this good all is forgiven.
We'll be back....and hopefully they will put Portokalopita (Orange Pie) - my favourite Greek dessert on the menu!
Hopefully this will make the other restaurants in Eastbourne step their game up.

Wholesome filling food in a clean friendly environment. Not hard on the wallet, very reasonably priced.

We have been here several ti es and yet again they surpass themselves. The taramaslata was homemade and superb. The lamb shank cooked to perfection. The vegatables that went with it complemented the meal. It gets better everytime and well worth a visit

Had lunch here once before with nephew and wife, both strict vegetarians. The staff followed by chef consulted them a total of 3 times, to get their lunch absolutely right, and they did. All the plates beautiful in taste and presentation. Today was no different, very polite and lovely staff, tasteful decor, allowed to enjoy a relaxed lunch, which again was delicious. I am so fussy about places to eat, this is now on my favourites list (not an easy thing to do). Please keep doing what you are doing it is so right. Thank You.

Visited based on the good reviews on here and I was not disappointed. Delicious Greek cuisine - great dips, mezze, calamari and grilled meats. Very nice atmosphere inside as well - modern and spacious. Very friendly staff. Will be back!

Typical busy noisy Greek restaurant. a bit small as it seems very popular. Food excellent but the mezze though delicious was far too much for us! Service was good and friendly. We will return!
