The waiting staff were 5* and couldn't fault them at all, unfortunately the selection of food was rather limited for vegatarians and my meals taste was bland and presentation was lack lustre. If you are one of those people that moan about Italian food having too much garlic or being too spicy you will probably love it. O and an Italian restaurant that doesn't serve pizza.. .

My family of 12 had the most incredible meal here. Firstly the service from the staff was absolutely incredible, my elderly Grandma wasn’t sure where the toilets were so a lovely waiter linked arms with her n showed her the way. Throughout the night all staff were friendly and offered amazing service.
Secondly, the food WOW!!!! All 12 of us agreed the food was absolutely amazing! Each dish was delicious, full of flavour, fresh and tasted like you were eating in a restaurant in Italy! The restaurant itself is also lovely, clean and roomy. Along with the food, amazing staff and decor you certainly feel like you are in Italy! Also they managed to fit all 12 of us in last minute on a busy Saturday night with no problems! Absolutely in love with this place and would highly recommend to anyone in the area. We were here as weekend visitors to Eastbourne and will certainly be coming back to this restaurant! Thank you for an amazing evening! 5 stars!

I've wanted to take my wife for a great meal for a while and we were told to try them out. The service was amazing. The restraunt was packed so we had to wait which wasn't an issue at all. We waited all of 5mins and were greeted with complimentary drinks for what they thought was an inconvenience to us. The food was amazing! The waiting staff were on the ball and never missed a beat. The presentation of each dish was beautiful . St one point we spotted the owner going to each table welcoming and checking everything was to a high standard. I will be returning and i highly recommend.

A really great Italian cousine restaurant with great dish selection and made with the best ingredients. From pastas to pizza every selection is a delight. Their starters and deserts are also something to consider as you won't regret the treat. Good for families or friends meal. But most of all a great place to go as a couple and enjoy all the great service and treats.

Vising Eastbourne to see family over Christmas, we always try and visit when in town. We booked a table on Sunday for 7.30 pm, we arrived given choice of table for two at front or back, we chose at the back. Nice position and near radiators so warm and cosy. We shared a bottle of white wine, very nice. Starter was minestrone soup, piping hot! Main was chicken breast with wild mushroom and white wine sauce, very hot, temperature and accompanied by vegetables and potatoes. Really enjoyed relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff. We'll be back.

My wife and I visited this restaurant tonight. The food was impeccable, hearty, filling Italian cuisine and so much choice. Wine was brilliant and the staff are attentive, friendly and happy to provide a free apperitif at the end of your meal! Also live music was quality, Tom Fitzpatrick laying out some ratpack classics in style giving the place an unbeatable atmposphere. GO TO THIS PLACE.

You have a wide choice of good quality restaurants in Eastbourne especially within this central location. La Locanda stands out due to its quality of top dishes and the high level of service they try to provide. Unlike some similar high end restaurants La Locanda provides generous portions for both starters and main courses. The menu is wide and covers all the classic Italian dishes as well as some more bespoke options. Although the restaurant is relatively large on the Thursday evening we went the place was three quarters full so for a Friday or Saturday consider making a reservation. Most diners appeared to be regular locals of the older generation who dine early so a slightly later arrival will probably help you. We can recommend the veal and risottos for main course but everyone there was thoroughly enjoying their different dishes.

She immediately chose her favourite restaurant, where in fact we had celebrated her 75th Birthday, quite a few years ago. A very extensive menu choice and difficult to make a final decision. Always a great welcome from the owner and his very attentive staff. In the event I had a very enjoyable three course meal, indeed we all did.

This gem of a restaurant is simply wonderful!! A great find. This was our 4/5th visit and everything is perfect. A birthday celebration and even a card with a little dessert with a candle was gifted to me.
