Table for 4 with our friends. Nice welcome. Table in the area I had asked for. Four starters which we each described as "excellent". Followed by 4 mains which none of us could fault. I had a side portion of zucchini which was as good as any I've had anywhere in the UK. Fish, prawns, calves liver, lamb, steak, you name it - all delicately cooked & seasoned. A real delight. Two bottles of wine & 2 Irish coffees + tip = £150.00. We gave over 10% tip as the service was so good. Thoroughly recommended. Make sure you book in advance.

Our first visit here was absolutely brilliant- food, service, atmosphere.
However this time we had pre booked our table for a romantic meal. The table was not ready for us. When we were sat at our table we noticed , 2 other big tables set and waiting for guests. Once they arrived it was so noisy we could not have a conversation with each other as we couldn't hear. The service was good but very rushed and staff only half listening and communicating with us, as they were so busy. It would have made more sense to sit couples away from the big tables to allow them to enjoy their evening equally.it was a shame that's this was overlooked. We found ourselves eating and eager to leave because of the noise levels. Certainly was not a romantic meal but one that will not be forgotten.

We went here last summer and it was just as good this year. We were given an oval table for 8 which was lovely. We all enjoyed our meals and the staff were lovely.

We arrived for an early lunch with no reservation. Staff very friendly, seated immediately and given good attention without being rushed. Good Menu....my scallops wrapped in Italian bacon served on spinach were absolutely delicious and quite adequate as a light lunch. Good house wine and the whole experience was very good value for money. The surprise 'on the house; Limoncello was an unexpected delight.
Also a joy to see the owner personally welcoming his guests.

This Italian restaurant is owned by the same gentleman who has Pomodora Mozzarella next door. However that is more of a family orientated place this one is rather more exclusive. No pizzas but a fabulous selection of delicious food.

The place was buzzing last Friday evening, packed to capacity. Even so service was prompt and delivered with a ready smile from all the staff we encountered. The food was excellent, as good calves liver as we have ever eaten.
Washed down with a bottle of Pinot Grigio blush, it was a meal to remember. So good in fact. that we returned on the Sunday night too, and it was the same standard. In a town with so many Italian Restaurants. I can't imagine that many can better this one.
Well recommended!

A warm welcome plus a very nice table was a good start. But it got better, are starters and mains were cooked to perfection all accompanied with lovely wines. If you are undecided where to eat in Eastbourne look no further.

There were 16 of us so I thought that everything would be slow and inattentive. However, they were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Everything I expect from a relatively expensive restaurant was satisfied. Great food, staff, service. Thank you

Fab food and excellent service. Gluten-free and veggies catered for. Despite a very busy Saturday night all tables - many seating large groups of people - received constant and prompt attention.

We ate here last night and I had the Fillet Rossini with truffle, which was excellent!! A good bottle of Verdiccio too. My partner had the Rack of Lamb, which sadly she found tough. But, that apart, great. Next time she'd have Chicken!

This was my first time in this restaurant and it certainly won't be my last! We were taken for lunch by my elderly mother who had been a few times before and liked it.
We chose from the set lunch menu and although it was difficult to select because everything was so tempting but we were all delighted with the quality and taste the meals we finally chose. The service was excellent, friendly, informative and patient. The decor was restful, yet attractive and we felt it was great value for money.
Can't wait to return.

This is not the first time I have visited La Locando Del Duca and, as before, a really pleasant meal was enjoyed. The service was unfailingly courteous and the food was very tasty indeed. I particularly enjoyed the fegato, which was cooked to perfection. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Eastbourne.

We were taken here by friends for dinner.
Having lived in Eastbourne for a while and never visited before I was surprised about the high standard of service and the delicious food, the only reason it wasn't 5/5 was the price slightly too high for another visit. The lamb with pink potato was a real treat.

We had eaten here a couple of years ago and enjoyed it so much we decided to come to Eastbourne for a couple of nights so that we could try it again. We decided as it was a special occasion to order the Filetto di manzo alla rossini . Mine was very tender but my husband's was not so nice. He hates complaining so when the waiter asked if all was well he said "yes"! However I did not think this was right so I did tell the waiter that it was a little tough. It didn't seem to be the cooking, may be just the steak itself. He did offer to get another but my husband declined and said it would be fine - he had already chewed his way through more than half of it. The dessert of pears in red wine and the apple strudel were good. I would advise anyone who did go for the steak to buy it through the set menu. I realised afterwards that this way you can get a starter and a dessert for just a little more than we paid for two. The red wine we ordered was not as nice as the cheapest one we had drunk the night before in their sister restaurant the Pomodoro, and they seemed to be shorter of staff too. It is still a good place to eat and I wish we had somewhere with such a good menu closer to home!

We met friends for lunch and were all very impressed with the food. The Mussels were excellent and the Mullet superb. The staff were very helpful (especially as we had a wheelchair user) and knowledgeable about the ingredients so that we could avoid allergic issues.

Another delightful visit to this restaurant.
I felt like Bruschetta for starters, and although this was not on the menu, the staff were perfectly happy to oblige. My girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed her Minestrone alla Genovese (fresh vegetable soup with pesto).
Lasagne 'lla emiliana (layers of pasta with bolognaise sauce, béchamel and Grana Padano) was yummy from first mouthful to last.Panna cotta al caramello (traditional Piemontese dessert with caramel) rounded off a fantastic meal.
Candle included (see photo) and a staff rendition of "happy birthday" because it was that special occasion. One final thing... Spotless clean toilets :-)

This came highly recommended by our B&B hostess as a reliable restaurant. The service was really attentive and friendly and the portions were large.
We had the goats cheese appetiser which was delicious and different. The seafood grill especially was a great tasting and healthy option. It definitely is a good choice in Eastbourne.

We used La Locanda for a family celebration. The party was about 14 people so I was expecting a little chaos. To my surprise the service was 1st class and the food as usual was delicious. My thanks go out to all the staff for making the evening fantastic.
