We were recommended this restaurant from our hoteliers while staying in Eastbourne. I’m so glad we chose this restaurant for our special 25th wedding anniversary, from the moment we walked through the door into a packed restaurant we was well looked after in a safe Covid atmosphere. We had a 3 course menu at £24.50 each, superb value and presentation and quality of food was excellent. Sauvignon Blanc Wine was reasonable at £26.50 and lovely it was too. The 2 waiters we had was very professional but I would like to thank Barbara especially who made our night that bit more special, she was very chatty and as I had a quiet word in her ear about our anniversary she decorated my husband’s dessert dish which was a amazing Tiramisu with “Happy 25th Anniversary” on the plate, lovely touch. The owner of the business went round to all tables also having a nice chat and making sure you were made very welcome and asked about our day, so nice of him.Our hoteliers gave us a passport with 10% off for this restaurant so a good saving too. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

If your are looking for a fantastic Italian meal, this is the place. My wife and I were away on a small break and found this Italian Restaurant. The food and service was excellent. Would recommend this to anyone staying in Eastbourne.

Thankfully we booked for three evenings. The food was truly exceptional. The fish dishes were cooked to perfection and presented in the most appealing manner. The vegetables were also cooked very well, not over or under cooked. Staff are polite, friendly and very helpful. This Restaurant provides everything you want for a dinning experience

This has to be the best restaurant in Eastbourne, fabulous food, excellent staff - nothing is too much trouble. Whatever you want you can have, prepared exactly as you want it. Manager always comes to each table to thank you for visiting, such a personal touch. Staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful. It is always a pleasure to eat there and the food is fantastic. Highly recommended

Italians are really everywhere and they have colonised even Eastbourne. The Italian cuisine scenery over there is super lively and it’s hard to choose what place to try first. We were lured by La Locanda del Duca, because it’s slightly away from the beach and the main promenade, so we thought the waiting time could be more reasonable (we didn’t have a booking).
The place actually reminds one of an italian locanda: basic and plain wooden furniture, chatty atmosphere and waiters who run among the tables like they were on rollerblades. That night was packed so we had to wait quite an extended time to be served, but the food was enjoyable.
As starters we had Fresh Scallops Wrapped in Italian Bacon, Grilled with Olive Oil and Garlic Served on a Bed of Fresh Spinach. For mains we had Seafood Spaghetti with tomato and Brown Rice Risotto with King Prawns, Scampi, Mussels, Clams, Saffron and a Touch of Cream.
We didn’t interact with any italian staff inside, which was a bit of a surprise given the claimed Italian legacy...

We've been to this restaurant twice now and find it reliably good. The staff always give great service which is really cheerful and happy. The food is reliably good. I can't wait for the plastic screens to come down as they do affect the ambiance, but what can you do?

We booked a table for last night and we made to feel very welcome on arrival ,The restaurant is complying with every COVID requirement and we felt totally safe.
I’m a big fan of Italian food and was very impressed with the menus ,we ordered our selection of food and the service was timed perfectly the food was hot and very very tasty ,the wine list was reasonably priced and our Red was served at room temp which was perfect .The pasta our group had was delicious and they didn’t skimp on the portions
The deserts we super as was the excellent coffee For a Tuesday night the place was very busy and in my mind says a lot about a restaurant
I my mind you won’t be disappointed with the restaurant or the staff all of which gets a big thumbs up from me but don’t take my word go try it yourself and see if you agree
