Had a marvellous 1 night stay in the Arundel Suite. All the staff are incredibly friendly & helpful, the Covid19 measures are spot-on. Hotel has a great location, a lovely 5/10 minute stroll to the pier. We had a lovely drink in the bar in the evening, & a delicious meal in the restaurant. Highly recommended, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Eastbourne.

It was great to return to Langham Hotel. The food was fabulous as ever, the service was kind and exemplary (and not overpowering). Everything felt very safe with staff having PPE and lots of hand sanitizer points.
A lovely location and a very good, high quality family run hotel.
A long flat promenade, uncrowded for exercise. The sea was warm, and lovely to watch the sailing boats and windsurfers

This is a fantastic hotel. Really well appointed rooms - non-fussy but elegant. Lovely staff and the most impressive thing of all is how well they have handled the terrible situation we are in at the moment with the coronavirus.
I hope that one day someone will look back at this review and marvel at the lengths they had to go to to keep everybody safe. I hope that one day people will be unable to believe me talking about the need for a one-way system throughout the hotel, free hand sanitisers, Perspex screens at reception and waiters and waitresses serving you with full visors on. But in this time that we are currently in, shortly after the lockdown has eased, the truth is that it is often difficult to feel at ease in the world and yet this hotel makes you feel at ease. Everything is spotlessly clean. The professionalism of the staff, not just the reception team but also all of the other staff I encountered, was so impressive.

The breakfast is excellent.
The bar food is tasty and very good value and they have a terrific range of drinks.
I can’t wait to go back.
If I had one suggestion for improvement, it would be that a 10:30am checkout time is really very old-fashioned these days and more befitting a sort of guesthouse in the suburbs rather than a full service hotel in a large coastal town. I think people should be able to check out at midday and enjoy their morning in the room if they wish, as they would in any chain hotel.

Lovely welcome and clear instructions how things currently work in Covid times.
The rooms were spotless and very comfortable stay. We booked in for dinner and had the three course menu. Excellent selection of dishes and happily catered for me being GF. Great nights sleep very quiet.
Breakfast was absolutely spot on and lots of healthy choices. The staff in the restaurant were very professional.
We parked at the hotel for a small charge but was are preferred choice.
The hotel is located right next to the sea so a great place to walk or jog along the front.
The town centre is a short walk.
WiFi not great in the bedroom on 3rd floor.
Definitely would return as it’s nice to find places where everything is done so well with a smile and a fair price.

WE had a nice stay at the hotel the sea view was amazing the room got quite hot but we had a fan in the room.
The floor was a bit squeaky I was a bit worried if anyone was below us as I have to get up several times in the night
The breakfasts were nice alot of variety
The only thing I didn't like was the cofee but that's just my taste I found the water for hot drinks not hot enough but I do find that in all the hotels I've been to.

This was our fourth stay and was in every way what we had expected. The post-lockdown arrangements worked a treat and the staff were, as always, Excellent!
Great breakfast service so much better than the now common buffet and the choice of evening meals was nicely varied and the portions just right.

I visit Eastbourne twice a year having stayed in many hotels. This is by far the best I have stayed in, very clean, staff are professional and friendly, food is good and there is an outside terrace to sit on looking at the sea whilst having a drink or two. I will always stay here in the future.

We visited The Langham on its first day after lockdown, the attention to detail concerning safety both for staff and clients was excellent, the service was first class as were the accommodation. The food is wonderful and the portions are first rate. We can highly recommend this hotel and will certainly be returning.

We were slightly worried about going away in these uncertain times but the hotel made us feel very comfortable. Staff were wearing masks and things were all kept really clean. Being able to eat in the room was great as we wanted to have the least amount of contact with other guest as possible. Great place to stay lovely location, Great view from our room, Great Staff and so friendly and helpful ... Nothing was to much trouble .... we had the best time, even with the weather not being the best ☔️☔️ ... we will certainly be back.... loved it.... Thanks Neil and Wendy 👍

Right from the moment we checked in, everything about our weekend break was first class. Friendly, enthusiastic staff in all departments, highest standards of cleanliness, excellent range of drinks and top quality breakfast. All staff really went the extra mile, especially in the early days of easing lockdown restrictions. Excellent value for money and all the more so, because of a room upgrade and the £10 food and drinks voucher. Definitely a place we’ll return to in future.

I've stayed at the Langham Hotel before and it never disappoints. Admittedly, I didn't know what to expect this time around, as this was going to be my first stay during COVID, and only on the second weekend of the hotel's re-opening since the start of the pandemic, however, I was pleasantly surprised & really impressed with how the hotel has adapted itself to COVID, i.e., the one-way system, the availability of hand sanitiser in both the bar & reception areas, etc. All of the staff took such care to make sure the guests felt protected-they wore masks and/or visors and although this was only the second week they were open post-lockdown, you would not have known it. The hotel was fully operational and the staff were as amazing as ever. The food in both the bar and restaurant areas was delicious-there is never the need to dine out in Eastbourne as the Langham's chef Michael is amazing. As a dairy-free pescatarian, a varied menu is always appreciated and again, the hotel never fails to deliver. I highly recommend the Vegan burger or salad:). I'd like to say a huge thanks to the owners Neil and Wendy, Michaela, Simon, Su (head of housekeeping) David, and all of the bar and restaurant staff whose names I don't know...for making my stay so wonderful. The Langham is definitely my favourite place to visit when I need a short getaway from the craziness of London:). I hope to see you all again soon. Stay safe! xxx

Met family at the Langham for Sunday lunch the first weekend of opening after lockdown.
Firstly, the attention to detail of health and safety was second to none. Staff were fully PPE'd, sanitiser everywhere, signage everywhere all with the staff still smiling and friendly faces. Neil and Wendy Kirby, the owners, were on hand to oversee the smooth running of their hotel. They should be very proud of the training they put in place for their staff and I cannot question their friendly professionalism.
The restaurant has been redecorated and it looks gorgeous. Food as usual was simply delicious and plenty of it.
I had been cautious about taking that first step out, but felt completely relaxed at the Langham knowing the lengths they went to keeping their customers and staff safe.

Charming hotel with a relaxed, comfortable and friendly atmosphere.
Food was excellent, a wide choice at breakfast cooked to order and served at your table. Evening menu was tasty and good value.
Room was clean and comfortable, but would have preferred a duvet to old fashioned sheets and blanket. Great sea views.

We arranged to meet with two friends at the Langham hotel for lunch and drinks. Having been in lockdown for so many weeks I was quite anxious about going out anywhere but felt we should try to move forwards within the governments guidelines. Having made the decision to venture out we all agreed that the Langham was the place we wanted to go meet. Now, I have always been a fan of the Langham, their care of their guests and attention to detail has always been second to none, but I was even more impressed with how they have managed to retain their charm while adhering to the new regulations. As to be expected, the hand sanitiser stations were dotted around, social distancing was made very easy by the arrangement in the bar area, a separate entrance and exit allowed guests to move around without crossing paths and the staff were wearing their PPE. They have introduced table service to prevent gatherings around the bar area and a housekeeper was constantly cleaning frequently used areas, chairs and door handles etc. That said, she went about her duties in a very none intrusive way and I noted she did not spray cleaning products into the air but rather used these with cloths to keep the area clean. It was a joy to be back there. As always, the food was lovely and it was wonderful to see the familiar faces of the staff. The owners Neil and Wendy, took the time to chat with us as did the manager Simon. We even had a sneaky look at the newly decorated restaurant. It looks beautiful and we can’t wait to be dining in there very soon. All in all our return to the Langham was everything we expected and more. Well done guys. See you soon.

My wife and I visited the hotel following a telephone enquiry. The service was excellent and the staff very helpful, as a result we have booked for our anniversary in August, as well as Christmas and New year celebrations in addition have made a reservation for my wife's birthday in March.

We have just got back from a wonderful stay at The Langham. They are very well prepared and have everything in place due to COVID-19. Could not fault them one bit. The hotel is immaculate. Rooms are pristine and very, very clean. All staff are wearing face masks. Social distancing is observed. Hand sanitisers are everywhere. Staff are very friendly and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend this place to visit. Fabulous food and breakfast was very tasty. Thank you for a wonderful stay and can’t wait to visit again.
