Hotel was fine, nice location right on the front, they offer parking for only 3 cars at £9 a day, it's only £4 per 24hrs to park on the road right opposite the hotel front. Room was a little small, clean, too warm, shower & toilet was tiny. I enquired about a complementary upgrade & was refused, then offered an upgrade at a price, obviously I declined.
Breakfast was good, clean & hot.
Booking.com we're a nightmare & I'll never use them again, dishonest to the point of criminal, I've even deleted their app from my phone, I'll use Expedia from now on,

We had a Golden Anniversary meal in the Blue Alcove part of the restaurant.
The meal was excellent, several guests said it was the best meal they had had.
Service was excellent. Simon the Manager was really helpful as were all the staff without being interfering. We had several Dietary requirements and all were taken care of without any problem. The table was beautifully decorated and the Welcome drinks greatly appreciated. We had a set meal which was excellent value for money. Thank you very much for everything.
This was our 2nd family meal here and on both occasions we were very well looked after.
Would highly recommend

Oh what a treat to arrive in the dinning room and to be greeted by this lovely smiling person that really did want to be there this lady had lived in Croydon London before relocating to Sunny Eastbourne I am sure she brings light and sunshine with her where ever she goes a true angel and a true great asset for the Langham hotel.
If only all hotels had staff like this lady I would travel much more this is now my second holiday to the Eastbourne Langham and I do look forwards to my next special stay at the Langham please don't let this lady leave Eastbourne and return to Poland we need these lovely caring people in the United Kingdom.

I wanted a cheap room for just 1 night and this place looked like it fitted the bill. I booked a single room which wasn't very big but perfectly practical. It was very clean, had a sea view and breakfast was excellent, all for just £49! If I ever have to visit Eastbourne again I will be staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay at this very nice traditional seaside hotel.
We paid extra for a sea view and was unexpectedly upgraded .
The room was very nicely appointment with a double aspect. Very cosy and warm.
Fantastic sea views. We decided to have the evening meal in the restaurant as it was very reasonably priced and had a great choice of food. We were not disappointed the food was lovely with good service. The breakfast was excellent good choice served to your table.
For us it was a little getaway, we have stayed a few hotels close by and In our opinion the Langham is one of the best for a comparable price. The owners have clearly invested in refurbishing it and that makes a big difference to the overhaul ambiance.

The Langham, London, is one of the largest and best known traditional style grand hotels in London . I liked it in my opinion. I liked their services. Nice personality of their staff. I recommend you going here .

An interesting experience with some good points and some not so good.

Check in - Waited 3 minutes whilst the young gentleman was on the phone- no acknowledgement and no appology for keeping me waiting - basic courtesy. I did though get an appology for the further 3 minutes it took him to locat my booking.

Room - Staying on my own in a single room, I would describe it as functional but as many other reviews have said spotlessly clean, as indeed was the bathroom

Bar - I must have bene having a bad day waited for 5 minutes at the bar at circa 7.30pm for a drink, but did get a "thanks for baring with me" when the young man returned. After 8pm the bar emptied with people going tot he resteraunt, and the silence enabled me to hear some rather choice language between the barman and what I assume was one of the duty managers referencing another employee, personally it didnt really bother me but it may some others. Choice of beers and other drink in the bar is good and ht eprices reasonable.

WIFI - Kept dropping out at key periods (8pm - 10pm and 8am - 10am) thsi is clearly a bandwidth / volume issue as had no issues in the afternoon when the wifi was infact very quick

Breakfast - Seated service, nice change these days, good breakfast and very efficient service.

Checkout - Had pre paid so just dropping keycard off was greeted by a "you checking out" not a "thanks for staying / everything ok?"

Summary

The Langham is playing in a very crowded space in Eastbourne, and thus you need to be very good to stand out in all elements, the hotel itself is nice enough but the service standards need working on as indeed does hte wifi!

Would I stay again? - probably not as I think their are better options at the price

This is the 2nd time I stayed at the Langham. First impression was the rooms was really nice, great sea view and lovely big bed. We stayed in room 106. It went downhill a little from there. The room was very hot but there was a fan that we turned on and you can open the windows which was good. The problem with the sea view rooms is that they shine a light on the front of the Hotel at night which only gets turned off at 11pm. They really need to install blackout blinds as this lights up the room. Also in the morning the curtains dont keep out the daylight. This is a huge bug bear of mine so my advise is dont book a sea view which is a real shame. The Breakfast was fantastic and was included in the price. We paid £95 for one night including breakfast. Check out was at 1030am on a Sunday which is way too early so I'm afraid next time I stay in Eastbourne I will be looking for a different Hotel.

Stayed two nights B&B and could not find fault with anything. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Views were of the Seafront with the Pier off to the right. Breakfast was a dining experience with all cooked food prepared while you waited(no buffet here). The room was big enough and the bed comfortable. No sign of any 'hurry up' gestures! The whole experience was in relaxed or slow speed. Already booked the next stay!

From the minute we arrived at reception to when we checked out, all the staff were very helpful. The room and En-suite was clean and tidy, All had been refurbished fairly recently. Good traditional breakfast all served to your table. Location is at the end of the parade on the sea front not close to shops. This was not a problem for us but could be for some. Will stay at this hotel again.

Having previously stayed at 'the Langham' hotels in Boston, Melbourne and Auckland... the name persuaded us to book this one in Eastbourne. Well, it isn't quite comparable. :) However, the location was great just by the sea and close proximity to centre.

We were in Eastbourne for a couple of nights due to family wedding and it was convenient for us to be able to park our car by the hotel. Our room was very specious with comfortable large bed and good standard bathroom. We had fantastic sea views (as per room reservation) from the south facing bay windows. We didn't have lunch or dinner at the hotel but the breakfast was certainly enjoyable with attentive service.

I would recommend this traditional hotel for a stay in Eastbourne

We have just finished a two night stay at this hotel. Overall, this day was pleasant and I think perhaps the score I’m giving it is generous for the following reasons. When I checked in I was given a parking ticket for my car which I had to then go and put on the car. When I returned back to the hotel I was told that I had parked in the wrong space and that I should move it. There was little or no point in doing this and to be honest I didn’t bother. This was an inconvenience and would’ve been made so much easier had I been told it at reception. The hotel is very very tired and needs a refurbishment desperately. Everything from reception area to the lift to the rooms. The hotel would suit an older clientele. There is only one lift in the hotel which takes its time and you can wait quite a while for a lift. The room was pleasant, but again, tired but the bathrooms were quite modern and very nice. The bed was quite comfortable but the duvet et cetera, again was tired. Breakfast was okay but would’ve been nicer had been cooked to order rather than just taking out of the pan and have been ready cooked. It’s a small point but made a difference to the enjoyment. Staff were very friendly and welcoming although the manager of the restaurant, working from a desk and ordering his stuff around was everyone was eating breakfast was not needed. To be honest, for the price I was quite frustrated and would ideally look for another hotel if I was to return to Eastbourne.

Recently stayed at the Langham Hotel for 5 days on a coaching holiday with Edwards. We could not fault it,staff very helpful and friendly, food excellent, and very good service by the waiting staff. The bedroom was a twin room, not very big but clean and had all the usual things you expect, tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries Would hightly recommend this hotel,it is a little way down the promenade from the town centre but it is not a problem as a bus stop is right outside with a service every 20 minutes into town.Would certainly stay here again.

Visited for a 3 night break. The hotel is very traditional in appearance (dark wood and heavy brocade) situated on Eastbourne seafront. Appears to be a favourite resting place with coach tours!

Check in was very efficient and quick. We had reserved parking which was at the rear of the hotel.... well worth doing.

Our room 120 (Honeymoon Suite) was large, gorgeous view towards the sea, with a 4 poster bed. Little sitting area in the bay window. Complimentary sherry and port in decanters along with tea coffee etc, nice touch, all spotlessly clean.

Hubby and I prefer a medium or soft but supportive bed - memory foam style - and our bed was on the firm/hard side so we did not enjoy a good nights sleep. The room temperature was also extremely warm and windows only had limited opening so not able to cool it down. On the plus side there was a large fan which we made good use of.

The restaurant was full at breakfast and we were accommodated in a small conservatory on the front of the hotel. Service was attentive and friendly.

Breakfast choice is from a menu .... There is a good choice of cereal, porridge, juices, kippers, veggie alternatives however if you have a large appetite the full English may not fill you up so I would suggest that you ask for what you want ..... In all honesty, I have had better quality breakfasts elsewhere. We ate our evening meals elsewhere so unable to review those, but the aromas from the restaurant did smell lovely.

There is a bar area, we did feel it was particularly cosy or inviting and it looked a bit tired and dated. It’s a nice old fashioned and very traditional hotel.

This hotel never fails. The standard is always good. Excellent friendly service from reception to the restauarant. All rooms are very clean with nice touches both standard and superior. Lovely Breakfast which is made to order no scrabble for a buffet.

Recently stayed here for the weekend, upon arriving we were greeted by lovely friendly staff who took our luggage until our room was ready, went for a drink in the bar overlooking the sea whilst waiting, enjoyed a lovely sandwich and reasonably priced prosecco. When our room was ready our luggage was already waiting in the room for us, (nice touch). The room was a sea view room and on the corner, the view was lovely and the bathroom was very modern, had everything you needed. We ate in the restaurant and the food was fab, starters, mains and dessert all so good! A very nice touch was receiving a bottle of water from reception for our journey home. Would definitely recommend this hotel !

Really disappointed, going to be in Eastbourne frequently now as my parent now live there. Only booked a couple of days before a Sunday night stay, the smallest room I have ever seen and the bed was not even a double. The room was also very dusty. no idea how we managed to sleep, breakfast was nice, although tinned grapefruit !! when checking out I did mention these points, I was to,d next time book direct. So basically if you use a big booking company you are pinalised. Won't be back. Also was told free parking, then told to buy a ticket .

Whilst only living ‘up the road’ I hadn’t visited The Langham Hotel for ages. I know it has a good reputation for Lunches with Speakers/Raconteurs/Entertainers and a great reputation within the resort, which after this week’s delicious Sunday Lunch is fully justified. ThecRoast Beef was excellent, the Jazz Band that accompanied were great and the Crepes Suzette were to die for. Cooked at your table with fiery flare and confidence they were wonderful. Excellent, reasonably priced wine list, great staff and, of course, the sea view across The Sunshine Coast. A return trip is much looked forward to. PS cannot rate rooms as went home 🙂

We stayed for two nights and had a fantastic time, we where on a Bed, Breakfast & Evening Meal stay, the food was exceptional, the room was exceptional, the staff were very friendly, very polite and helpful.

Parking is available which is an extra payment, if there isn't any within the hotel bounds you will have to drop the car off and walk back from the secure car park, again the staff were very helpful.

Would we visit again? yes we would. This was our fourth time staying at the Langham the other three were Masonic Ladies Weekends.

I can recommend.....
