We stayed last weekend for just one night and from check in to departure could not fault this hotel. All the staff were extremely friendly. The rooms (we had a sea view) were warm, clean and comfortable. Great bed and best towels and linen. We visited the bar for a snack lunch and later that evening. Very comfortable and relaxing and their home made fish finger sandwiches were exceptionally good. Will definitely be back for a longer stay.

This was our first visit to this hotel having read great reviews . This hotel is a true gem delivering on every front from the well appointed rooms to the fantastic service in every area . Breakfast is amazing everything you could possibly want served promptly with a smile . All the produce is top quality and the same goes for dinner , where a relatively small but varied menu offers such things as braised beef , chicken in a delightful mushroom and bacon sauce , choice of steaks with any sauce you require and of course Fish and chips . The owners need to be highly commended for running a hotel that maintains such high standards . Do I need to say this will now be my regular stop , every time we come to our favourite Eastbourne

We visited for lunch with friends who live nearby.
Had a very nice sandwich and bowl of chips. Followed by coffee with a free cake.
Nice setting and surroundings.
We would visit again. Friendly staff. Good value for money.

This is the second time I've stayed here for one night stay over on business the hotel is a traditional english hotel serving a simple but wonderful choice of British meals such as cod and chips which is a must to try.Great servic great staff , a old hotel superb sea views but a hotel retaining much of what is now lost in modern day hotels.

Recommended by a friend who lives nearby. Booked a single room which was most definitely a single but plenty of space with a large bathroom and sea view. All the staff were excellent and so friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for more. Hotel and rooms are well decorated and tidy. Recommended to book parking in advance and there are only a limited number of spaces.

I booked this as a present for my wife a nice three night break just the two of us😀.
When I phoned to book I said it was for wife’s birthday and I wanted something special. They gave us one of their best rooms with a lovely view to the sea and great facilities. I asked for flowers and a bottle of her favourite wine to be in the room. I also asked for a candle lit dinner in our room, they said this couldn’t be done because of safety regulations but would sort something.
On arrival we were shown to our room and sure enough there was a lovely bouquet in a water bubble and the wine with glasses on a silver tray. LOVELY. We went down for dinner and they had set a table up in a separate room just us with candles and the best steaks we had had in years.
The staff are brilliant and the whole hotel drips in Edwardian splendour nothing was too much trouble. Not for you if you prefer modern and clinical but if you want to be spoilt then the Lansdowne is the place.

We stayed for a short break just after Christmas and enjoyed our stay. There was a great sea view from our room and the room was a good size, very clean and seemed to have been recently renovated. The bathroom was well equipped and had a good sized shower, although the pressure wasn't great.
Breakfast was quite good, but I have had better quality cooked breakfasts in other hotels. Service was good and friendly and overall the hotel had a nice atmosphere. It was an easy 15 minute walk along the promenade to the pier and town centre. Overall, I would recommend for a short break in Eastbourne.

We visited the Langham hotel for a few days to get away from it all and we had a brilliant stay. Prior to visiting I rang to say my wife was disabled and the receptionist immediately transferred the room to one with easier access and arranged a parking space.

The room, Amberley was perfect, recently decorated, huge, comfy chairs with a great seaview and all the nice extras such as fluffy bathrobes and slippers. It is plain to see that a lot of love and care has gone into the refurbishment as it has been done to a very high standard. The staff were brilliant, very friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a meal in the restaurant the first night and the food was delicious.

We not not hesitate to stay here again such a lovely hotel.

My wife and I recently visited The Langham Hotel for my work social club Christmas dinner in January. We experienced excellent customer service from the General Manager and his team, accompanied by delicious food and entertainment. My wife is a coeliac and her dietary needs were catered for without hiccup which is so important. We would definitely recommend use of the restaurant, resident DJ and Casino for an enjoyable and memorable staff and/or friendship get together. Our thanks again for a superb evening.

I spent an excellent short break holiday in January. The hotel was warm, the staff were very helpful and kind and the food was very good indeed with full service at breakfast - so no buffet, how wonderful. I loved it there and I would certainly visit again. I think the hotel is undergoing some refurbishment and so the only downside for me was the rather dated red carpets everywhere - otherwise it was great, with lovely attentive staff.

This is a privately owned hotel where the proprietor is very much hands-on and values his guests - and staff. As a result, it’s a delightful place to stay. The bedrooms have been modernised behind a traditional promenade frontage. And from our sea-view room we enjoyed the endless vista and the roar of the sea during stormy weather. The room was adequate in size and although the bathroom was a little small it was extremely well appointed. Bathrobes, quality toiletries and smart furnishings add a touch of luxury. During our stay the hotel was relatively quiet so we enjoyed a freshly cooked breakfast in the bright conservatory. We’ve stayed here before and won’t hesitate to come back; we visit Eastbourne frequently and this has become our favourite place to stay.

We stayed at the Langham for a weekend trip to Eastbourne with friends. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and given directions to a local car park round the corner. At the front of the hotel, there is a popular outdoor seating area with seafront views where we managed to get a seat - a lovely place to sit with a drink, taking in the view!

The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, with large ensuite bathrooms and amazing sea views!

The hotel was ideally located within walking distance of a variety of local bars and restaurants.

The breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. In summary, we would not hesitate to stay at the Langham again!

My family and I enjoyed a two night stay here last weekend to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday. Even from before check-in we knew our special weekend was in good hands. Simon (GM) was so helpful and accommodating, as we put plans in place for a low-key (but a surprise for Dad) afternoon tea party for extended family and close friends. Every staff member we came across was so good, making us feel like we were the only guests there. The afternoon tea fayre was plentiful and delicious!

Bedroom wise, we had seaview rooms which were contemporary, clean and very comfortable.

I would thoroughly recommend the Langham to anyone, whether for a meal, afternoon tea or short break.

Nice family feel hotel ,seems very popular as it was quite busy all the time ,rooms were clean and well maintained .the sea view was brilliant (was a bit blowy though but its January after all)but rooms were warm and comfortable.food was wonderful but I would have been a bit happier with a bigger cooked breakfast (one slice bacon one sausage etc)but made up for it with extra toast ,staff were all polite and helpful.not really a bad thing to say about it

We went here for our New Years Day lunch booked last minute, but they managed to fit us in, and it was well worth it.

We walked from West to East along the seafront calling at the bandstand for the end of the Free New Year Concert, then inland to the Marine to view their spectacclar Xmas Decs and they are SPE _C_TAC _ U_ LAR darlings!!!!
Then to to Langhams........

What a delight, so welcoming, so warm, so utterly tasteful.

We had the three course NYD menu including some fizz to start, a superb three course dinner including their super roast beef served off the trolley just like 'Simpsons on the Strand' and just as good followed by the most tastiest of desserts flambeed crepes suzette!!!....just perfect,!!

The only and only downer was that my partners dessert was served after I had already finished mine!!

Well done and we will be back for a Tuesday speaker lunch...make sure you look this place up and take attention to their events!!

Had a couple of days stay at the Langton hotel and must say, it’s a first class hotel with great staff.
Was pleased with the room even without a sea view, but with the bad weather there was no need for a sea view !! Breakfast was first class, one of the best think have had, with a very large choice of dishes, served by excellent staff. Only had bar snack but was first class, loved also that the bar stocked a selection of bottled beer and asked if you wanted it cold or room temp. Any real ale drinker knows it’s nice to have this choice!
All staff were well presented and a credit.
Well done to all.
