We had a twin room 2nd floor.
Small shower that tended to slash water into the toilet area.
Single bed a bit tough on my 6ft 4 in frame.
Light pollution comes in from the bright orange floodlights at the front <switched off at 11 pm> and from early morning light too.

Dinner and breakfast were first class. Good service and great food.
Park out the front ~ a bit limited.

We recently spent a weekend at the Langham for a black tie event and could not fault the staff or the food.

As with many hotels, the beers available at the bar left a bit to be desired - no real or cask ales from hand pumps (not being a lover of lagers or bottled beers this does detract from the weekend).

The bathroom was modern and had everything needed but it was the smallest I have seen in a hotel (the only smaller one I have experienced was on a cruise ship). Also, both my wife and I prefer not to have a fixed head shower.

If you are planning on staying at the Langham I suggest that you ask not to be put in Room 101 - a bit noisy being at the top the of the stairs directly up from the Reception area.

Although there were some down sides the overall experience was positive.

We stayed with about 80 others this weekend and I have to say it was a cracking experience. We were fortunate enough to stay in a room with a four poster bed and a bay window with views out to the sea. The room was clean and tastefully decorated with good quality furniture. Attention to detail is evident with plenty of monikered towels, dressing gowns, soaps, even complimentary sewing repair kits. A nice touch was the decanters of port and sherry which you don’t see so much anymore. I’m a light sleeper and I had concerns about being woken by road noise as we were literally above the entrance to the building but I needn’t have worried, decent windows with blinds and heavy duty black out curtains kept any noise at bay. There is a lift albeit we didn’t use it and there is a ramp at the front so access should be easy for all. A nice patio area to enjoy a coffee in the morning though it can be a bit chilly in the afternoon as the sun goes behind the building. Staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for you, that said, a couple of the younger ones struggled a bit when it got busy in the bar and restaurant. Food was top class in the evening with white table linen and really well presented food, my only feedback would be give us a bit more to eat, particularly the breakfast, I wouldn’t call one sausage, no mushrooms and a handful of beans a “Full English” particularly for the cost.
Prices in the bar were reasonable and you can charge the cost to your room. There is little parking on site but arrangements are in place for alternative parking which was a short walk away.
Great mock casino set up downstairs with its own bar which was very entertaining. A lovely weekend and would definitely recommend either for a couple or for larger groups, well done to all

After attending a ladies night 13th/14th April, I would like to pass on our thanks for the hospitality team at the Langham. My wife and our two young girls (8 & 11) really enjoyed their stay and the location to the pier with views over the sea were perfect.

We hope to return.

The welcome at the Langham was warm, the room extremely comfortable (very warm though but they did supply a fan). The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. Wonderfully strong shower and nice toiletries were provided. It was lovely to wake up and hear the sea. Breakfast service was exemplary and the food very good. Highly recommend!

Have just returned from what can only be described as an outstanding Ladies weekend at the Langham hotel.
it is not often that one can say that an event is faultless and exceptional but in the case of this weekend, organised by the Langham, I am delighted to say that this is the truth.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were kind, courteous and friendly throughout. The standard of cleanliness in the hotel was superb, as was the food and in particular our gala meal.
They organised the toastmaster whom I cannot praise enough, he talked and helped us through everything, also the singer for the ladies song who sang it beutifully and the Rhythm crew for the evenings music were great. All in all a fantastic weekend and we cannot thank
the owners Neil and Wendy and Their extremely competent manager, Simon for all of their help and assistance. To have the standard of excellence that this hotel has, can only come from good management,
which is something that this hotel has in abundance,
Thank you all so much.

Lovely family style medium sized sea front grandiose-ish hotel. Very comfortable, bedroom decent size; worth that little bit extra for stunning sea view.

Excellent value. We arrived a bit grumpy from a long drive and discovered we had forgotten to book a parking spot so had to use the overflow spot. The manager took one look at my sad face and offered to get someone to drive it! I was ashamed and it was only a step away.
Well staffed late bar, good tea facilities in room. Delicious succulent kipper for breakfast no problem supplying soya milk. Lots of fresh coffee.

Helpful staff in the morning; bedroom staff chased after us to return forgotten charger.
Forget corporate hotels - this is streets ahead.
... and did I mention that view!!!!
10/10.

We stayed just one night as we were visiting our daughter and attending her concert. The hotel was efficient from beginning to end. We had a very pleasant non sea view room which was spacious and being on the North side cool during a very hot 24 hours. We sampled the bar, it was pleasant.
Breakfast was good, rather unusual to have full service, no breakfast buffet, and it was all the nicer because of that.
We will certainly return and probably stay a couple of nights when we next visit our daughter and look forward to trying the restaurant for dinner.

Booked this hotel on behalf of my in laws and I can honestly say that it lived up to and exceeded their expectations which in turn did mine. Neil (the owner) made himself known to them and had many a conversation, which made them feel very relaxed and settled. They stayed in room 304. The room was sea facing and decorated to a modern but still comfortable style with many extras ranging from dressing gowns, slippers and water (in glass bottles) not the cheap plastic. Room service was second to none and the breakfast was cooked fresh to order from and from a menu but was plentiful. My in laws are looking to come back to Eastbourne again for 5 days and they hope to be able to book this same room again. One import point they did mention on more than one occasion was the politeness and helpfulness of the staff. Thank you again to Neil and all.

My husband and I and two friends decided to sit in the sunshine and order coffee it duly arrived with homemade shortbread and flapjack they were all delicious. The coffee was great so much so I told the waitress. It was great watching the sea and the world go by.

As always, we had a great visit. Staff treat you like royalty... no request is too much effort for them. Exceptional breakfast with wonderful views and as always, we left with a smile and a skip in our step. Ten out of ten again. Absolutely fabulous.

We were from overseas traveling around the UK for a month, usually staying in new accommodation every day. What a great stay this was for us, room and bed was comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. The best was yet to come at dinner though - my husband and I chose an absolutely sensational lamb dish cooked to perfection with root vegetables and a red wine jus. Great wine list - opted for a red. Waiter service on the night impeccable, we had an intimate table out on the balcony overlooking the sea and promenade. What a memorable evening.

We explored alternatives but came back to the Langham. Some simple reasons. Okay it may be pricey, but you can park for free anywhere in the nearby streets. It has the most wonderful breakfast served to you at the table - no leftovers in a buffet as most these days. The staff seem happy and are really efficient. (except the one day our room wasn't made up but day of Royal Wedding so who knows?). The showers are really good and everything you could want was in our room - tea and coffee making facs biscuits, in the bathroom sumptious towels and enough toiletries although sadly lacking in conditioner. I would however not stay here in the height of summer as they do not have air conditioning and just a fan provided in what was a really hot room even in mid-May - the sun shines in through the sea view window so the room gets really hot. But really pleased it wasn't a hot duvet but sheet and blanket as it was warm enough. My greatest complaint was the curtains which didn't fully draw so the light woke us really early which I hate...

My partner and I stayed here overnight on a weekend coastal trip, and had one of the city view rooms. The hotel's decor looks a little dated, but in a charming way. The room was reasonably sized with a decently comfortable bed, and a nice sized bath with a shower overhead. There were also monogrammed robes in the room which were a nice touch.

There are plenty of restaurants and pubs within a short walking distance, and we were able to find street parking just around the corner from the hotel. A simple but tasty two course breakfast was included.

The hotel staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, and we were even given a bottle of water for our onward journey when we checked out, which was really thoughtful.

I had a lovely stay at the Langham. I had a double room with a sea view and was pleasantly surprised to find that I had a room with a large bay window. The room was bright and clean and had a somewhat newly refurbished bathroom. Tea facilities were what I would expect, there was a hairdryer at the vanity table, and a couple of chairs with a table to look out over the ocean. The bed was comfortable and the towels in the bathroom were also nice.

My only ‘complaints’ would be that a lot of light came in in the morning, so I was woken up a few times by that, and the shower struggled to get warm.

Breakfast in the morning was enjoyable, and check out was simple, with reception staff also being helpful despite the busy time I checked out at.

I would like to stay again as it’s a great location, not too expensive, and the rooms are clean and quiet.

Very well situated and extremely friendly hotel staff, extraordinary rooms facing the sea, clean and inviting. The restaurant serves very good food at reasonable prices, you can sit with a view to the promenade along the sea.

Enjoyed a lovely Afternoon High Tea with Prosecco in the Conservatory Restaurant . Excellent value for money . Impeccable standard of service from Lucas . A window table overlooking the seafront on a lovely sunny afternoon in Eastbourne . Bliss !

We live locally and decided to come back to The Langham for another Jazz Lunch (we'd enjoyed the one in December so much) but this time just my husband and I (rather than a group of 10) to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Yet again it was excellent. On arrival we were given a complimentary glass of bubbly which was very welcome. We had the mussels to start with followed by the carvery trolley. Sadly we didn't have room for a pudding but perhaps that was just as well because we were presented with a lovely cake in honour of our wedding anniversary. What a lovely gesture and totally unexpected.
All of the staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive and the Jazz Band was excellent.
It is definitely worth booking in advance to avoid disappointment as these Jazz Lunches are very popular, deservedly so.
Thank you to all the staff at The Langham for making our wedding anniversary even more enjoyable.

We stayed over the Easter weekend for 2 nights. Our room was sea facing and was very clean and had everything in it that you needed including USB sockets. The bathroom was lovely and had a large shower. We had dinner in the hotel one evening and the food and service were very good. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a quiet break away.

Have stayed at this hotel twice, first with sea view four poster double and more recently in a "inland view" double. On both occasions the rooms were nicely decorated and spotlessly clean, polite attentive staff and amazing breakfast. Highly recommend!

We went to the hotel for a Masonic ladies night. The hotel was absolutely spot on. The rooms were clean tidy and very well furnished as was the bathroom. Lovely fresh towels. The service throughout the hotel was impressive especially in the restaurant. The food was very good and we only heard praise from everyone. Well worth a visit. It laid the foundation for and excellent weekend.

We only stayed here for 1 night, but we liked their very friendly service and our nicely decorated room. The room itself was relatively small but very clean, well designed and functional (and a nice sea view). Breakfast was very good, with plenty of options to choose.
Overall a pleasant stay and would recommend.

Just returned from a Ladies weekend at the Langham. A totally enjoyable weekend thanks to the helpful and attentive service from all the team at the hotel, from the manager to the car park lady at the TA parking area.
The rooms were well appointed and very clean, the food was all superb, with again super service with a smile.
Can recommend this hotel and will be back.
