Very friendly hosts, great location, comfy rooms. clean and welcoming. Excellent breakfast too. The outside was being refurbished at the time, which was a little irritating. The only thing I wasnt keen on was having to share a breakfast table.

We've just returned from a three night stay in a superior sea view double room.
The room was very well appointed with everything you would expect from a 4 star
hotel.
The staff were welcoming, friendly but also very professional, nothing was too much and always with a smile.
The breakfast was waiter service, with a comprehensive and varied menu, which could be mixed and matched again without a fuss and with a smile.
The evening menu was varied and interesting, I had rump of lamb, cooked just as I requested and which melted in the mouth served with a mixture of tasty quality well cooked vegetables.
With no complaints, this is a hotel I would wholeheartedly recommend and plan to revisit.

The hotel is on the seafront within walking distance to the pier and shops, it has limited parking at £9.00 a night, which needs to be booked in advance. I chose to park in the back roads but quite difficult to find a space. I stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of April in a basic room. Speedy check in by the lady on reception that was very pleasant. The room was small but that was what I was expecting quite dated but very clean and with a nice hospitality tray with a bottle of water, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits which I thought was a nice touch. The room also had tissues and nice toiletries which was nice for a basic room. The tv was quite small, the room was at the back of the hotel but not too bad with a view over other properties. The bathroom was a reasonable size with a heated towel rail which was nice for the towels. The walls are quite thin and I could hear somebody coughing in the next room but I thought my stay was excellent value for money. The room included breakfast which was served by the staff in the restaurant, a nice touch. The restaurant had a glassed area overlooking the sea which was lovely view. I had my breakfast there each day. The breakfast was very good with several choices and it was really nice being served by the staff. The tables were immaculately presented. The only thing I think the Manager needs to note that the cooked breakfast says eggs, presumably meaning 2. The first day I asked for the full English without the beans and was given one fried egg. The second day I asked for the full English with 2 fried eggs and no beans once again I was only given one fried egg, So if you are only going to serve one egg on the full English the menu needs to be amended as it is misleading. The hotel seems to cater for group parties and on the Saturday night as I entered the hotel I was asked if I was staying in the hotel I presume this meant the hotel was closed to outside guests. It appeared the whole restaurant was taken over by this group so for anybody wanting to eat in the restaurant that was staying in the hotel this would be very disappointing. I would suggest that on check-in they advise other guests of this and in the room there is a letter from the Manager in the room stating that a private function is taking place and apologising for any inconvenience with the restaurant closure. I would definitely stay again and think that this is a nice well run hotel.

Been to this hotel twice now. You couldn’t meet a more professional and friendly group of people. This partly family run hotel is comfortable, clean and welcoming. The food is exceptional and very reasonably priced, you get a homemade shortbread or flapjack with every hot drink as part of the price. They are out of this world. All drinks including alcohol are very competitive. The rooms are well decorated with modern bathrooms all round. The hotel is well placed with the beach being opposite and pier and shops only a ten minute walk along the front. Ideal for a break, short or long, you will feel relaxed and very welcome.

Further to an outstanding Ladies Festival this weekend, I've received an abundance of feedback from members of the Lodge which I felt it was important to share to give a flavour of what everyone thought of the venue further to their stays:

"Thank you both for the fantastic Ladies' Festival this weekend...I truly don't know where to begin...the choice of venue, entertainment and consideration to detail was admirable."

"The Langham Hotel and the whole event was spectacular and certainly one of the best we've ever attended."

"It must be said that the hotel was clean, comfortable and offered and ambiance that enabled us to relax and embrace the good company of both masons and guests. The staff were friendly, attentive and very well mannered."

"Many thanks for a wonderful Ladies' Festival - the best we have been to in many years. Attention to detail, comfort, fun, fantastic food - what more could we ask for? We even had the sun!!"

Need I say more?

I don't even know how to start writing this review but here goes!...

My husband and I have just returned home from our Ladies' Festival which we have been organising for about 18 months. Having visited 7 potential locations for hosting our bash, as soon as we walked through the door of the Langham Hotel we knew it was the venue for us and that is a decision I could not be more grateful for further to the overwhelmingly positive feedback received from our 80 guests following the weekend.

We've had the pleasure of receiving an abundance of 'thank you' letters and cards from our guests who have said that we've collectively managed to set the new standard for Ladies' Festivals going forward but it goes without saying that this just wouldn't have been the case had it not have been for the determined efforts and hard work of every member of staff at the hotel.

The volume of compliments received from all of the guests regarding how polite and helpful the whole team were, how it was a pleasant change for there to always be someone willing to help with any query, how clean it was everywhere and how amazing every meal was has been fantastic. The whole team seem genuinely invested in wanting to make every guest’s stay as enjoyable as possible and this rare quality is something that we haven't experienced in even some of the most luxurious 5* hotels that we've had the pleasure of visiting.

No words can truly emphasise enough how amazing this hotel is or the staff within it. It has been an absolute pleasure working with every member of the team at the hotel and we've already booked what will be our 4th stay for later this year which I'm currently counting down the days to!

Stayed at the Langham this week, very welcoming and could not fault anything. Breakfast staff excellent, had a room with a sea view, watched the world go by. Will be booking again, longer this time. Highly recommend.

Very well located on the seafront. A clean, pleasant room though not one of their top suites. Service was excellent at reception and particularly in the restaurant. Very good value overall and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to others.

What a fantastic weekend. We have just returned from our Ladies Festival held at the Langham Hotel over the 13th/14th April. I can only say that the whole weekend was thoroughly enjoyable with everyone who joined us praising it. The hotel was perfect with every member of staff being polite and courteous. They could not do enough for us and made us feel very much at home. The proprietors Neil and Wendy, ably assisted by Simon, the General Manager, ensured that every arrangement was thought of and managed perfectly. The Gala Dinner on Saturday went so smoothly we just had to go with the flow and enjoy it. The food was superb and commented on by everyone. Our room was lovely and spacious, overlooking the sea. The Casino Night on Friday was tremendous fun, I was surprised at how much everyone enjoyed it. Certainly a unique experience for me. I can highly recommend the Langham and will most certainly be returning in the near future for another stay.

A one night stay in mid April. This is definitely one of the best places to stay in Eastbourne on the sea front. Although if you want bang in the middle of the town - keep reading, it may not suit you.

Staff are brilliant here. Every member of staff we spoke to treated us wonderfully. From the receptionist to the breakfast host to the people running the bar after midnight. This hotel knows how to treat guests and make them feel welcome. 👍

Our only gripe was the temperature of the place. For us personally it was all just a bit hot. In the room, especially overnight and at breakfast.

It was mid April and signs of summer only just starting to appear so maybe they are still acclimatising!!

It’s a good 15mins walk to the pier. So not as near as some but If you are ok with that, you’ll like this place.

Go for a room with a sea view. Parking available but limited. £9 a day on site. We only stayed one night so that was fine for us. Ring ahead and they will advise the best parking option for you.

There are some tired looking places along the front. This is not one of them. We’d stay again 👍

When we arrived the check in was quick and the staff were friendly and helpful. We elected to pay for reserved parking as we would be using the car repeatedly and parking in Eastbourne can be tricky. Lovely room with a sea view, it was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was served on the terrace overlooking the sea which was a nice touch. the full English was very tasty but perhaps more half full than full as it could have been a bit bigger but at least it was hot. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked to stay here again for a week in July.

Stayed at the Langham last week, friendly welcome. The room was spacious and clean. Had dinner in the restaurant and the food was great. I’ve rebooked for August and will be recommending to family friends.

A fleeting visit but once again had a really good time staying at the Langham Hotel. Good sized room, helpful staff everywhere and a delicious breakfast with an excellent sausage! I will b back for sure.

We have recently had an excellent stay at the Langham. We were swiftly checked in by the excellent young gentleman on reception who was very helpful and explained parking options for us. Our room was on the 2nd floor and was facing inland but was modern.
The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. We had views of the South Downs which was a bonus. The breakfast is table service and not like most hotels which choose the easy option of a buffet. We both ordered Full English's, it was both hot and excellent quality. Eastbourne itself is a lovely town and the walks along the front in the morning were spectacular. We will definitely return to the hotel in the near future.

The hotel is in an excellent location, is well priced, comfortable and with friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast was very good and although parking was very limited, it is manageable. Highly recommended.

We spent an unplanned weekend in this hotel and had no complains. The room was spacious & facing the sea so 10/10. Breakfast was really good & the city centre was walking distance. In fact there were quite a few ok ish restaurants around the hotel too in case you wanted variety. Recommended for a short break.

Booked the Hotel for a DBB trip and stayed in the Amberley suite room 108.
An amazing room and amazing views of Eastbourne seafront.
The staff looked after us and the owner Neal is very hands on to make sure you have the perfect stay.
The food was lovely and enjoyed every minute of our stay.

The Langham Hotel is nice enough for a one or two night stay, compared to other hotels etc that are in the vicinity.

Our room was basic, with a double bed, small TV and tea/coffee making facilities (nice touch to add hot choc sachets). The pillows we found uncomfortable but the bed itself okay, sheets rather than duvet though which wouldn't be our preference.

The bathroom was good with a nice size shower and a generally spacious room - how strange to provide just one bathrobe though?! Surely one per guest or none at at all?

Beware, you can really hear the noise from above you in your room.

Breakfast was nice with a good choice, tea arrived in a very dusty teapot which was really unpleasant though.

Don't expect to park right near the hotel, it seems impossible!! We parked at the TA 5 mins walk away for £8 a night (they seem to have a deal with the hotel). This was fine for us, but unexpected as we were told on street parking would be okay.

Much better than anticipated. My wife and I are very used to hotels and especially seaside hotels. Sadly, much of the time they live down to our expectations. British seaside hotels are better than they once were but often don’t live up to what many of us expect abroad. This hotel was friendly, in good repair, well fitted, our room excellent, staff friendly, bar efficient and well priced.... We only had breakfast on our two mornings but it was fine and there was plenty. I have been there a couple of times to functions where there was a buffet and this too was good on both occasions. Happy to recommend.... our only problem, and not the fault of the hotel, is parking. There is street parking but it is in demand. I have a mobility problem and a ‘blue badge’ yet I still could not get close parking. Clearly the hotel is in a good spot... the beach is just across the road and all amenities and attractions are in walking distance... if you can walk. It is a popular hotel and if you stay in Eastbourne and want a good mid-range hotel this is a good choice.

A party of 5 of us enjoyed a lovely lunch of roast Sussex lamb in the conservatory on a cold winters day overlooking the sea. The food was excellent, as were the waiting staff - providing that extra level of attention. Have dined here before and will continue to do so.
A real treat.

The name says it all, lovely sea view dining room. Excellent service with lots of tea top ups. Selection of sandwiches and cakes was excellent and ample. The cream fruit scones were to die for. I would rate this tea slightly better than the Grand Hotel in Eastbourne. Everything was so fresh and tasty and our waiter went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Great value, well done Langham!! Would recommend this afternoon tea without hesitation.

Stayed for three nights. Good location, all staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely food in the restaurant. We stayed in an executive room with sea view, which I would recommend. Especially loved everyone's attention to detail, making sure our stay was PERFECT 😊

What a great choice we made to stay here for our 48th wedding anniversary.
We do not live far away and really like Eastbourne.
On a site I use, Travelzoo, this hotel came up with a really good price for b & b. An extra £10 got us a room facing the seafront. In the bay window of the room allocated was a table and two chairs! Great to be able to spend a little while with a cuppa gazing at the sea with the pier in the distance to our right.
Plus, in the deal we had a voucher each for £10 creditable against drinks/eats.
We didn't use the restaurant as we had already eaten well earlier in the day, but finding the lounge and bar we had drinks and snacks from a very comprehensive menu.
Many pictures are cited around the walls throughout this hotel of bygone days, but now in private ownership. Look to website for more information which if you read up is quite interesting.
Our bedroom had the usual complimentary tea, coffee and chocolate, still water, plus bathroom items, soap, shampoo, quick fix sewing kit and slippers too!
Nice room, very comfortable bed - we both decided we could have stayed put longer but it was breakfast time.
Breakfast was served to the table, from a good choice menu of juices, cereals, toast, cooked or continental. No need to get up and wander to tables getting supplies. Even the jams were on the table in a rather unique stand.
So, well impressed and we both would like the opportunity of staying again!

On the beach front with parking (limited and expensive). Staff were friendly, but very casual. Tired decor, particularly in the bar. Probably good for Eastbourne standards.

The bedroom was in good condition, though the bathroom has a curtain that keeps falling down.
