From arrival to departure there was no mistaking this Hotel deserved a minimum 4 stars.Booking in was swift & efficient. The room was clean. bright & airy.
& very well equipped. Our first dinner was excellent with plenty of choice including vegetarian options. The staff were polite, friendly & were only there to look after your needs. If you needed anything they provided it without hassle & with a friendly 'you're welcome' when you thanked them. This high level of catering & service was maintained throughout our stay.

I always like to read the reviews on a hotel before I get there, thought I mainly look at the bad ones, they seem to be more interesting. Langham has 8 classed as Terrible which I read, so I was intrigued to see what I would find on arrival.

I found a wonderful hotel, lovely rooms, (We had a sea view) attentive staff, very good food, a relaxing bar and a delightful outside terrace overlooking the sea.

What I didn't find was anything bad today.

Our time at Langham Hotel was a delight from start to finish, it's a wonderful place to visit and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

From the moment we arrived it was obvious that this was a well run hotel. The owner himself greeted us warmly and it was the attention to detail that he and his staff showed that marked this hotel visit as one of the best we have had in a long time. Very well maintained property,New triple glazed windows, comfy beds and handy seafront location. Nice bar and great full english breakfast.

I feel absolutely compelled to write this review - I have never used TripAdvisor but absolutely feel I must to share my recent experience at The Langham Hotel. From the moment I booked my room to the moment I checked out I was looked after and by an absolutely splendid team. My room was fantastically decorated and well priced at £79.00 B&B. Wi-Fi in the hotel good and free to use, parking is available near by for free or parking at the hotel is a reasonable extra £8.
The staff from Peter who runs the reception to Sophie in the bar are an absolute credit to the hotel, and everyone is friendly and approachable. I had the pleasure of meeting with Neil the owner of the hotel who is a pleasure to talk to you- I bought a copy of his book which I shall enjoy reading soon!
I will be back! Thank you

We booked a five day break with Majestic to the Langham Hotel, Eastbourne! The hotel is excellent lovely food, staff extremely helpful. We didn't have a sea view the bedroom, however was adequate for the two of us. Bathroom had a shower instead of a bath just has we requested. Situated on seafront bus stop outside if you didn't feel like walking to the pier off town centre.

This place is very much a middle of the road place - not quite sure what earns them 4 star status. Nothing offensive about it - bed was comfortable, service was friendly and they of course have a seafront location. It is, however a bit like going back 20 years in many ways - the menu for example. The food was acceptable but bland, and our room was very cramped with a pathetic shower. If you are short of options and the price is reasonable, it will do the job for a night but I wouldn't seek it out again.

I phoned and made my reservation directly with the hotel and spoke to a very helpful man. I was offered the different available room types and I chose a Sea view Junior Deluxe Room (The Amberley Room). On arrival check in was swift and we were promptly issued with the key to our room. The Amberley Room can only be described as excellently decorated, comfortable and well appointed, I believe it is the only room in the hotel to have an emperor sized bed which was very comfortable. We did not have the opportunity to dine in the hotel but breakfast the following morning was excellent and served to your table rather than a buffet. On departure we were along with our bill handed a complimentary bottle of water which we felt was a nice touch. We plan to return to the hotel on the winter special offer that runs from October to March and represents excellent value for money including dinner. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anybody. The staff are very helpful, especially the reception team who go out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience for all.
A must book!!

Dated foyer, but took the lift to our very nice, modern, quiet, clean, 'superior double room' on 3rd floor. Liked the décor (mushroom coloured walls with coordinating wallpaper). Unfortunately not a great view overlooking a flat roof and rooftops beyond but plenty of space and an excellent bathroom with a great shower. Thick white fluffy towels but only ONE bathrobe?? Huge, VERY comfortable bed! Nice selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate provided, also biscuits. Good TV reception.

Most staff very friendly and helpful, but our waitress at breakfast never smiled, and we had to ask for condiments as none were offered. We had a nice English breakfast in the conservatory however, with the exception of the baked beans, the portions were very small. We had with THE tiniest triangular piece of fried bread, and my poached egg was swimming in water. The bar snacks we had later in the evening (served until 8pm) were excellent and the quality very high. It was very relaxing eating outside the front of the hotel, looking out to sea and to the pier.

The hotel is well situated, being only a few minutes' walk from the pier and bandstand. When we arrived at around 2pm parking was difficult but we did eventually find a space in a residential street behind the hotel (free). There were plenty of spaces late afternoon/early evening opposite the hotel. You pay between 8am - 6pm. I think it was only around £4 for all day - much cheaper than Brighton!

TIPS:
The pier is a short walk along the stoney beach or the footpath but, apart from the views of Eastbourne seafront, the amenities are disappointing and lacking in atmosphere. The service and cream teas we had in "The Victorian Tea Rooms" on the pier were dismal. The standards were much higher at a nearby beach café.

Beachy Head and the Birling Gap (picturesque beach with stunning views of the Seven Sisters cliffs) are just a few minutes' drive away, and also accessible by the local open- top sightseeing bus.

The staff are very friendly and the location is great however we had a "small twin room" which was definitely not 4 star standard. The bathroom was dated and the shower was awful, no hot water and very weak. Every time the sink was used, a sulfur smell would fill the bedroom. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. Would return but only if the room was better.

Yesterday we had a family reunion at this hotel, only 17 people, and it was a great success. The service we received was excellent, and although I only booked the buffet lunch we were treated as if we were having a five course dinner. Everything was good, the food and the part of the bar lounge that we were in had lovely views over the sea. Simon, the manager, organised everything efficiently, and the two young ladies that helped with the serving of the food and drinks were very polite and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for any gathering, and will certainly use it again in the future.

I visited the Langham this last Saturday last minute. The price seemed very good for a 4 star establishment and it was right on the beach front which made it all the more apealing. On arrival I was greeted imediately with a super smile and welcome from the receptionist that I believe was named Tia, sorry if misspelled. Such a warm and sincere welcome made me feel good. Very observant and looking out of the window she see I needed parking and directed me to the Hotels free parking close by. Thoughout my stay all the staff seemed happy to help with unbrellas and advice. After a comfy night the breakfast was something special served by Sam who was also a credit to the profesionalism as a waiter gave me one of the best Full English that I have had. I did notice the variety of breakfast was extensive including Salmon Kippers and continental. Eating my breakfast in the Conservatory and watching the sea roll in was lovely. The sun reflecting on the sea surface made my stay at the Langham a great experience. A 4 star Hotel with a 5 star service.
Thanks guys

Spent two nights last week with my wife at the Langham. I was in room 207 a super sea view, and really large. The decoration and bathroom were modern of course clean as a whistle. The staff make this hotel, Breakfast in the conservatory looking at the sea was wonderful. You may find a cheaper hotel in Eastbourne, but not a better one.

If you are looking for a lunch venue with a difference try Langhams, Eastbourne. You will not be disappointed. The Ladies Lunch Club is a really good day out. A superb three course lunch with wine - even a pre-lunch glass of bubbly, and then an entertaining talk. The speakers are varied and cover a wide range of subjects but in my opinion Toni Mount speaking this month about early women doctors was one of the best. I'm looking forward to many more lunches with the Ladies Club at th Langham.

A lovely visit for afternoon tea. Good selection of finger sandwiches - egg mayonnaise, smoked salmon, ham, cream cheese with cucumber. Huge scone and numerous other cakes. Very filling. I had to ask for a box to take the rest of my cakes home as there was just too much! Lovely choice of tea. All for £19 per person. Excellent location in the conservatory overlooking a very wild and windswept sea. Friendly staff and good service.

I took my parents for lunch in the Conservatory Restaurant on Saturday for my mum's birthday and we thought it was fantastic. The food quality and presentation was excellent. It was a comfortable setting with a great sea view. Our waiter, Lucas, was very professional, attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Hubby and I stayed for a couple of nights - wanted a quiet laid back vibe and we certainly got it. The staff are fantastic! The room we had was sea view - lovely - clean. Clientele was old as expected - at 46 I was a baby! The entertainment was aimed at them... live singers/keyboard knocking out tunes from back in the days... we sang along and really enjoyed ourselves... sun was shining... sat on front veranda with a book and barcardi and forgot about all my woes! We will definitely return.

We stayed the Sunday night before the last may bank holiday and I will start with the good bits! The hotel is in a great location, just minutes walk to the pier, the main body is well furnished and well kept! The breakfast was good and staff very well managed.........now the negatives and our biggest gripe was the parking situation, there are only a handful of parking spaces belonging to the hotel, which were taken before we were told about this situation! And parking nearby was like hens teeth! We had to park 800 yds away, and as parking charges begin at 8am till 8pm, we had to wake early and pay for the first three hours till check out.Management should be upfront regarding parking, at least! And finally although we had a sea view room it was tiny, no bath only a shower and windows only opened about five inches, and no balcony, as we thought from the hotels photos, for the price,we could have easily stayed in a five star west end hotel and feel we were not given value for money!

The staff are well trained and welcoming. Our superior seaview room was very good. Walk-in shower, plenty of hot water and big white towels. Lovely bay window overlooking the sea and esplanade. No piles of cushions on the bed to just move out of the way. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Food in the restaurant was very good with reasonable prices. Parking at the hotel is £8 per day but well worth it. We left the car and just took the bus. Lots of things to do in Eastbourne. We will go back. Spotlessly clean, very high standard.

We have stayed at this hotel for a number of years now and are regularly amazed at the constant upgrade and energy instilled here. We stayed in an upgraded beautiful room, very large comfy bed and superb modern bathroom with walk in shower and soft towels n dressing gowns. Breakfast is individually cooked with great choices. Wonderful walks and town near by, a place where you can really relax. I need to thank the staff on reception who found us a dentist on a bank holiday and saved the day/holiday. As I say nothing is to much trouble

A last minute visit to Eastbourne landed with this great hotel. While our room was on the small size, it was clean and the wc/shower was fine.
We only had breakfast but it was in the sunny conservatory/sun terrace and really started our day well.
Thanks.

My husband and I, sister and brother in law. 3 night stay Masonic lodge ladies weekend. We have stayed in a lot of good hotels, but this really ticked every box. Room fantastic overlooking the sea, table and chairs in the window. Even a sea view from the shower!. Staff fabulous nothing was too much trouble. Food best we have ever had on a dinner bed and breakfast deal. Lovely feel to the place, even the chamber maids were cheery. Ideal for Eastbourne town.
