My wife and I had a pot of tea at the Langham Hotel whilst out Christmas shopping - lovely and warm in their lounge. Tea was really refreshing, enough for two cups each and also a delicious complimentary shortbread biscuit. Nice friendly staff as well.

A friend and i recently stayed here on a Tinsel and Turkey. The hotel was lovely. Almost all of the rooms had been updated and ours was lovely. Very clean comfy beds, nice towels, tea & coffee making. When we arrived a smartly dressed gentleman led us to the lift and explained where our room was. This we found out was the owner. The food was excellent and very nicely presented. The tables and the hotel were decorated very tastefully. We walked out of the hotel front door, over a small road and onto the promenade. The staff were very polite and dressed very smartly and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this hotel

My wife and I recently enjoyed a wonderful Christmas dinner and dance at The Langham. Our room was lovely, and the food and service, perfect as usual. A rare gem of a family run hotel, thank you for your attention to detail and lovely polite staff.

Today with friends and a glass of bubbly we enjoyed "Christmas Cracker" at the Ladies lunch club, with entertainment by Paul James, David Horne and the Langham Hotel Staff, providing enjoyable topical songs and corny Christmas cracker jokes. This was followed by an excellent 3 course lunch with wine and a visit from Santa with everyone receiving a present. The 2015 programme was available and we have already booked several Ladies lunches and Wine & Pudding club luncheons.
What did the Eskimos sing when they got their Langham Christmas Dinner? - Whalemeat again, don't know...
but you can and I guarantee you won't be disappointed with The Langham

We returned yesterday from a Mon-Fri Tinsel & Turkey coach holiday (Edwards Coaches). The hotel is in a lovely position, directly opposite the sea and shingle beach. The bus-stop going to and from the town centre is a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel is spotless and fresh, this includes toilets, lounges, restaurant, stairs, lobby and hallways. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The food was very good and there were enough choices. The waiting staff were brilliant, efficient and friendly. There was a good selection of snacks for daytime refreshment at reasonable prices.

Our 1st floor room, 131, was a lovely sized double with sea view. There was plenty of storage and plenty of good clothes hangers. There was a small round table and 2 chairs in the bay window, with a great view out to sea. The shower room was a good size with lovely white fluffy towels (that were changed regularly) and a good selection of toiletries. Everything was spotlessly clean. The room had an electric radiator that you could regulate to your own preference. The bed was far too firm for my comfort, but probably suits others.

There were a few improvements that could be made eg: mattress toppers if required by guest, a hook on the bathroom door and some form of shelf in the shower cubicle.

The entertainment was dire, lacked atmosphere and finished at 10.00pm!! There is not much of a selection of beers on tap, 1 beer, 2 lagers and 1 cider, and they were quite expensive.

We were really pleased with the hotel itself but very disappointed in the 'Tinsel & Turkey' aspect of the trip.

The Langham Hotel is a traditional seaside hotel at the east end of the Grand Parade. It's in a lovely old building with staircases and corridors extending in all directions (and many creaking floors, alas).

The staff were polite and attentive - even the Saturday night bouncer was friendly. The single room had a nice sea view (I hadn't paid extra for this) but was a tad small. It and the shower room were spotlessly clean.

The building is floodlit in the evening, but this seems to turn off at some time in the night. The orange glow does get through the curtains, which may be a problem for some.

Basic room service is available but you should make sure you book your evening meal in advance. Of you don't, there are plenty of other options nearby.

Breakfast sufficed. I would have liked a more generous Full English, but what there was, was fine.

So, comfortable and worth staying at provided you don't pay too much and you can cope with people moving around on creaky floors outside the rooms.

My wife and I recently stayed at Langham Hotel in Eastbourne and having given prior warning of my recent knee replacement the staff couldn't do enough to ensure that I had a comfortable stay. The initial greet and meet by the staff was warm and welcoming. Ice was brought to my room to fuel my knee ice pack without having to request it. Luggage was taken to and fro from my car without requesting it.
The room was clean and comfortable. Service in the restaurant first class with food that you would be happy to find in any top London Restaurant. Good value for money and would certainly return. Well done to the Management team.

If you are looking for a hotel with a difference then the Langham is the place for you. This hotel is absolutely faultless, spotlessly clean everywhere. The owners Wendy and Neil work along side the staff and nothing is too much trouble for anyone of them including General Manager Simon. It was a pleasure to stay at the hotel enjoying good food and the warmth and friendliness of everyone. If you are looking for a good book to read then purchase a copy of the book Neil has written well worth the money, a very interesting and enjoyable read, it is one of those books once you start reading it is difficult to put down. I look forward to a return visit to this excellent hotel in the hopefully near future.

We stayed at this hotel to see the Bachelors show (fantastic) which was in the hotel. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful . Our room was large with sea views and a large comfortable bed. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Upon arrival I was met by the friendly staff that greeted me with a smile and personal touch as they did on my previous stay last year. My room wasn't ready, although I was a tad early. The reason? the finishing touches were being made as I was the first to stay in the room since it had been refurbished.

Whilst the rooms were stunning (I hadn't asked for a sea view!), it was light and airy. Even a window in the bathroom (yes, a bath and shower!). They've even invested in quiet-close loo seats which is great as with any older building the noise can travel.

The food was excellent.

Not a bad word to say!

We booked this hotel on a recommendation from some chap we met in Eastbourne in july on our last visit to this seaside, we had a twin room,we were very impressed the size, cleanliness, friendly efficient staff,my only 1 niggle woul be that the food wasn't hot(this seems to be the norm in most places I eat and I don't understand it especially when these people call themselves "CHEFS" it was a very nice conservatory we ate in and I had the bonus of meeting "Anita harris" which bought back childhood memories!! another bonus for customers is theres always entertainment on every evening,we had a good time and wouldn't hesitate to stay again we would just dine out in the evenings as we did after the 1st night! I did give my feedback to the manager on reception thurs evening which must have been noted because the breakfast Friday morning before departure was hotter than any other morning,1 more thing I would add is that 1 morning I had salmon and scrambled eggs far too much salmon and not enough eggs but they did need seasoning!!on a positive note we did notice the cleanliness and maintanence of the building was very impressive,we stayed at the hydro in july and paid double the price but the Langham wins handsdown!! so obviously its down to good management and obviously having the owners around which was also nice to see,so a big thankyou to all staff,im sure we'll be back soon when we visit the inlaws again.

Enjoyed another Ladies lunch at the Langham Hotel Restaurant with Anita Harris. As always at this venue, the food was terrific and the service fantastic. Neil, the owner was there as always supervising things and he is really hands on, which is good to see. His staff are really a credit to him and everything always is so well organised. Having been to several lunches here, it is really great to see that the very high standard is always maintained. They also cope very well with my peculiar dietary requirements and this is always very much appreciated. It is a great place to stay if you are coming to Eastbourne

This was our 2nd visit to the Langham Hotel for our Ladies Festival, and once again the staff made our weekend very special. The food was amazing, the rooms are excellent, and the hotel is relaxing. Mr & Mrs Kirby should be very proud of the dedicated staff that they employ, as nothing was too much trouble for them.
Faye and Simon did an excellent job in arranging the weekend, along with Ali the restaurant manager for making the room look stunning.
We will certainly be returning back to the Langham Hotel for future Ladies Festivals, and look forward to meeting up with the excellent staff once again.
I would definitely recommend the Langham Hotel if you are looking for a friendly, family run hotel.

Had a masonic ladies weekend here, organised without fault, caring staff, food superb, fantastic four poster room ,looked after every step of the way, we had no worries. we had a casino night on the Friday night which was great fun,on the Saturday the meal was to die for after wi danced to a very good band that was recomended by the management. if that was not enough we then had a midnight breakfast, what more is there to say go for it.

Stayed Sunday night after going to the theatre. The hotel has a very relaxed feel - Jazz at lunch sounded fun as we arrived. Afternoon tea in the conservatory was lovely. The room was comfortable with an amazing sea view. The bed was comfortable but the wardrobe and chest of drawers were a bit old fashioned in comparison to the lovely modern shower room. Perhaps all the bathrooms have been updated as the ladies in the bar area was also modern.

Parking is fine on the seafront. But remember that at 8.00am you need to get a new ticket. When partner went to do this - from the street they could see me in the shower through the window frosting - pull the blind down!

Would stay again.

Recently stayed for the 2nd time for a masonic Ladies Festival. As before we had a amazing stay, rooms looked like they had been revampted, lovely modern bathroom, with deep bath. Food was amazing as before could not fault it. Staff were excellent, and could not do enough for you. We were lucky with the weather, and were able to sit and enjoy the outside terrace. Love this hotel and would not hesitate in staying again.

We stayed here for two nights with dinner on the first night, breakfast, formal dinner on the second and breakfast only on the third.
Parking was made available nearby, slight walk but it was secure, better than parking in the road.
Staff were helpful from the time of arrival to the time of departure.Always courteous and polite.
The food was excellent, after the event we were served a breakfast rool in the bar !
My room had a restricted sea view but it was very clean. My one complaint was that the room (142) had a bay window and was close to a street light outside. It really needs a blackout curtain

Hotel was in a beautiful position and we had a room with a great sea view. I just enjoyed sitting in the bay window savouring the wonderful view. Room was clean if a tiny bit small but felt comfortable all the same.

Staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast in their lovely conservatory was most enjoyable and beautifully cooked.

We decided against booking any parking as there was plenty of free parking in the streets behind the hotel.

We had a bath and a shower in a rather small bathroom and could only fill the bath from the shower head but we did not report this so they probably didn't know!

My only complaint would be that although the curtains were thick they had been hung in a way that made them stand away from the window so they did not keep the light out at all. Fortunately it was October and not summer or I would have been woken very early. We noticed that some rooms similar to ours had been fitted with pull down blinds behind the curtains so I think this problem was being rectified but that is the only reason I would be reluctant to stay again or I would make a point of requesting a room with blinds.

On the whole though, we felt relaxed in this hotel and had a very enjoyable stay.

Rooms clean and well decorated no problems with parking on the front. Staff very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was lovely and nice original features. It was nice sitting the conservatory for breakfast which was very enjoyable and well presented. Would definitely stay here again when in Eastbourne. Even brought the biography of the owner Mr Neil Kirby. Excellent well done.

I chose this hotel based on the reviews. It did live up to most of the good comments. We booked a superior double room with a sea view. The room was well-appointed and quite spacious. There was even a sofa and a seating area in front of the bay window overlooking the sea. WiFi connection was very good. The only minus would be the size of the shower room . For such a spacious bedroom, the shower room was small. I would have liked a larger shower, but all in all it was a comfortable room.

The staff here are very gracious and helpful. Breakfast was adequate, but nothing exceptional.

We dined in the dining room on one evening...very good service. Food was very good.

The parking situation was a bit of a game. Parking is on the road behind the hotel in the TA grounds, behind security gates, for which you will need a swipe card to gain entry, coming and going, unless you are very quick and can get in and out before the gates shut. If that happens, you must reach through gate and swipe again in order to get out! We were told to return swipe card immediately after using it, as there were only a limited number. So, if you take your car out to go out for the day, you must first drive around to hotel to return card. On your return you must go into hotel first to obtain card, and then proceed to parking area on another road to return your car to TA lot. Not a process one would want to do late at night.

we stayed here for 4 nights from sept 28th, What a treat! Excellent service, very good food. Nothing is too much for the staff from the receptionists to the girls who take care of the rooms. for instance on our first night I needed an extra couple of pillows, one was on top of the wardrobe and my wife gave the other. The following night I had an extra 3 pillows provided without asking, excellent! We had a Superior room with a sea view. No complaints at all. The veranda restaurant has lovely views over the sea. I have mobility problems so the lift was an essential. The Langham have a very good attitude to gratuities. There's no services charges, and you're not expected to tip individuals, at the end of your visit you give the reception an amount you feel deserving, which goes into a pot which is shared evenly amongst all staff. We are definitely returning.

My wife, her sister and niece, have just returned from a Majestic tour to Eastbourne staying at this excellent hotel. They report that they thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The food was of good quality with a varied menu and reasonable portions. The chef was happy to amend the menu to meet personal requirements. The rooms were clean and we'll serviced and the staff friendly and helpful. The entertainment was not always to their taste but the majority of guests enjoyed it.They would definitely stay at this hotel again
