My Regiment held a Christmas function at the Langham. The Staff are courteous and polite. The food is absolutely amazing and I would just like to say how helpful everyone was . Most importantly in this day and age of austerity the cost to all guests was minimal. Probably one of the best functions I have attended in 22 years in the Armed Forces.
Would recommend the Langham to cater for all functions and has a lovely Hotel in wich to spend your hols

★★★★★ On behalf of King's Colonials Lodge, may I say a big THANKYOU to Neil, Wendy and staff for their hard work and expertise that went in to making our Ladies Festival such a resounding success. The atmosphere is always warm friendly and welcoming, indeed walking through the door is just like coming home. The food was excellent as was the entertainment. Though it was only last weekend, we are eagerly looking forward to next years festivities.

We chose the Langham for tea after my mothers funeral on Wednesday, it was excellent, the staff were kind and considerate and did everything to make us welcome. The cream tea was fantastic and the children enjoyed their ice-creams. Thank-you for making such a difficult day so easy you were all fantastic.

Stopping over for two nights which were well provided for. Dinner was well presented with more than adequate choice. Breakfast cooked to order which is so much nicer. We had a Ladies Night on the Saturday and the banquet was really good. There is free car parking but it is around 400 yards away. You can unload outside the hotel and then take the car away.

We used the Langham for a Classic Car Rally for 120 people over 3 nights.
The Hotel owner Neil Kirby and his wife Wendy could not have been more helpful in helping with the organisation and looking after our guests for the weekend. The hotel staff were all extremely well trained, nothing was too much trouble.
The food was excellent, both for breakfast and our evening meals, they even organised a special English wine tasting night with guest speaker for us.
All rooms were of superior quality, and very comfortable.
They arranged for car parking for over 60 cars at the Territorial Army base just behind the hotel and had a member of staff at hand to allow cars in and out.
Our only problem now is that we will not be able to match the quality of this hotel at any future event we organise!!!

Went to the Langham Hotel in Eastbourne for lunch on Fathers day with my wife and her parents. The In-laws live in Eastbourne and have eaten here before saying it has always been fantastic - we had only ever had a coffee or hot chocolate prior to this whilst looking out to sea (directly opposit the beach). (Oh in addition - they do the best hot chocholate in the south in our opinion)....
Anyway, we were shown to our table on time, nice surprise to find a chap playing keybaords and singing as a bit of live but discreet entertainment, just added some nice atmosphere. Menus delivered along with a complimentary glass of bubbly for eveyone - Ok choices made.
2 x belly of pork, 1 x chicken 1 x fish - (starters all very nice too - 3 x tomato & chorizo soup 1 x duck pate). Mine was one of the pork, I have to say it was one of the nicest meals I have ever been served, well presented, well cooked with vegetables that wern't just a soggy mess as is often the case when you go for a 'pre-set' type of event such as farthers/mothers day etc. and good portions too. We all enjoyed every single item that was served and really could not fault a single thing. Deserts were nice although my wife struggled to eat much of her chocholate desert as it was extremly rich but not a complaint just saying...
Coffee was served, again a nice touch wherby two large cafateria's were delivered to our table, not the usual thimble size cup pre filled etc.. Another nice touch was my father-in-law and myself (as we were the obvious guests for fathers day) were given a nice box of Thorntons chocholate covered fudge as a gift - just a nice gesture and unexpected.
Our main waiter - Michael was very attentive and engaged in some banter with us which made the whole afternoon pass with a few smiles and laughs.
A fabulous afternoon was had by all and would recommend this hotel for any such future event (let me book first though)!!
My wife and I are staying here in July whilst attending a George Michael tribute show in Eastbourne - I will then be able to review the rest of the hotel from a staying guest's point of view, hopefully we wont be disapointed after setting the bar way up on our lunch visit. Oh, one last thing to add - value for money, it worked out around £23 per head which we feel was very good for the food and quality of service.

Once again had a fantastic Jazz lunch at this hotel. As local residents we are spoilt for choice for places to have lunches. We first went to the Lagham for a Jazz lunch last year with four people. Since then we have been back four times and each time the number of friends who have come with us has grown. On the 8th June we took 19 people and our next visit will be with over 20 people. On the eight of June the group playing at the Jazz lunch had a female lead singer. She and the Group were terrific. She had a soothing gentle voice with an earthly quality that made for easy listening whilst eating a great lunch. There is a very good choice menu on the day with my choice being the roast beef cut at the table. Try the white bait starter as it is great. Be warned it is a good size serving. 3 courses for £21.00 includes a drink at the start of the meal and tea/coffee at the end. The food was, as always, great. One of the hidden gems of Eastbourne.

We had a fantastic lunch today we sat in the conservatory with the most excellent food, service and location. I wanted a seafood type dish which was not on the menu, this was not a problem at all the kitchen made up a superb seafood lunch, which was most delicious. Well done the Langham. We shall be returning for Longer break.

We stayed in the the Langham Hotel last month for a family celebration. Room was good, clean and nicely furnished. A really good size bathroom. Although extremely busy the staff were very attentive and the service was excellent, especially during our family meal. We sat in the conservatory for breakfast, overlooking the sea; both the breakfast and surroundings were excellent. Would definitely recommend this lovely friendly hotel.

This is a hotel where service still counts. Service is the strength of this hotel. Reception was perfect and went out of their way to oblige. Dinner was delicious too. My room was not large but WAS VEY CLEAN WITH AN EXCELLENT BATHROOM. Breakfast was good too. It is great to stay at a hotel where they still do full table service for breakfast. None of those horrid buffet things. Good selection and good quality ingredients. Again langham is all about the real service . Well done!!

We stayed for one night last weekend in one of the standard doubles. The room was comfortable and lovely and clean- nice comfy bed too. Eastbourne was very busy with the carnival on the seafront and there were private events at the hotel all day. Despite this nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We finished off our day with a lovely meal in the conservatory restaurant. The food was absolutely exquisite. Iwas totally bowled over, I haven't eaten food of that quality in a hotel restaurant in a long time. The waiting staff were attentive and friendly despite being very busy with private functions in the other rooms. The Langham is well worth a visit.

The room we had was a great size for us and our baby daughter. There was plenty of room for a travel cot and and a little inlet for our luggage so we din't feel cramped. Although our request for a travel cot was forgotten on arrival, it was corrected immediately. The room was furnished to a very high quality.

The breakfast was tasty although the pastries were a little rubbery. Staff were very helpful and attentive. The view from the conservatory was lovely.

The only downside for families with babies is the stairs- it was quite difficult to manoeuvre the pram around the corridors to our room.

We would definitely stay there again.

We have stayed at the Langham Hotel on several occasions and once again the service and accomodation lived up to very high standards. We were welcomed with smiles and recognition, nothing was too much trouble. I must recommend the restaurant, great choice of breakfast and dinner, check out the Sunday Lunch and the awsome afternoon/cream tea (won't need to eat for a month). Was concerned as a couple of celebrations and lodge events took place regarding noise and disruption but these caused us no problems or disruption, our stay was quiet and comfortable. Many thanks to Neil, Wendy and staff well done

Very nice hotel right on the seafront so everything in walking distance. Staff polite and attentive breakfast good. Only grumble room very small. Very clean nice bathroom. Didn't have a sea view but obviously those rooms are available but unfortunately not when we visited. Quite expensive for size of room but everything else was nice.

Just returned from a Masonic Ladies Weekend, everything about the hotel is as good as the reviews says, except maybe we were a little unlucky with our room, although bright, clean, sea view, comfortable bed and plenty of storage, the bathroom totally let it down, the sink is much too near the door when opening and the room looked "dirty" was not impressed with the shower and there were spiders in the bath. The room door is not a good fit and at night you get the hall light showing through. This would be my only complaint, the food is excellent, and the staff very friendly and helpful. One other thing if only fellow guests going to their rooms late at night would let their room doors close quietly and not with a "bang!"

There are a lot of reviews saying how good this hotel is and I simply wish to say that I fully agree. The staff made our long weekend away in Eastbourne even better with their excellent service and kind consideration. The hotel appeared to be completely full but there were a good many staff to provide that individual attention expected. The food was to an extremely high standard and breakfast was a la carte with an almost limitless number of choices. Overall, this hotel is very worthy of an excellent rating and we thoroughly recommend others to stay. Location is also very good being a 10 to 15 minutes walk away from the Pier and the main shops. Whilst parking is "off site" at the local Army Centre there is a good arrangement in place to unload your car outside the hotel (30 minutes limit) and then to move it into the secure parking area. We look forward to returning.

I booked this hotel as it is rated number 1 for hotels in Eastbourne. This was a last minute booking so I wasn't expecting a prime room overlooking the sea. We were given Room 319 which over looks the backs of houses. The room was pretty small and, dare I say it, a bit pokey. It became very stuffy and opening the window didn't help too much. The TV was situated on a low table, which we moved higher up for better viewing. We would have preferred it to be wall mounted.

The Staff we encountered were exceptionally attentive and couldn't be more helpful, even providing us with a fan for the room when we asked. Parking the car in the secure car park of the Army Base was a bonus, despite it being a short walk from the hotel. Breakfast in the conservative was lovely and the food was just right. The waitress was very pleasant without being too fussy, which we like.

All in all we had a lovely weekend, despite the poor room, but we understand that this was likely due to us booking our trip at the last minute.

Neil, Wendy and the whole team at the Langham made BoundsGreen's Masonic ladies festival run like a dream. They organised absolutely everything from place cards and ladies gifts to the band and toastmaster (making my life very easy).
5 stars for everything from the rooms(which have been wonderfully decorated) to the very helpful staff and 6 stars for the food! Everyone who attended remarked on how good the food was!
I can not recommend the Langham highly enough.
Thank you all for a wonderful weekend.

Just retuned from a trip to The Langham booked for my in laws 55th wedding anniversary. My father in law had a stroke 8 years ago and is now in a wheelchair and this was the first time they had been away from home for a night since then. Prior to his stroke they were well travelled people so this was a monumental occasion. I had previously stayed at the hotel a couple of times on One visit last year was temporarily in a wheelchair myself with a back injury. The ease I found of moving around the hotel and disabled access gave me the confidence to arrange to take them there. The staff could not have done any more to assist from my numerous questions beforehand, arranging a suitable room and a mobility scooter to the service we received from the point we arrived until we departed late today. Food in the conservatory for lunch and restaurant for dinner was fantastic, very large portions so beware if you're not a big eater !!! Special mention to Luigi (if that's how you spell it!!) in the restaurant who looked after us really well. My in law's are already planning another trip which is speaks for itself. Tops marks all round for a lovely trip and thank you to The Langham for making it possible.

Just returned from a weekend at the Langham. Service, excellent, food excellent, room looked almost new. Hotel is 1 minute from the beach and a five minute walk from the pier and town.
We were at the back of the hotel and there was some noise from locals but we had the windows open. All windows are double glazed. One complaint, the only one, the toilet roll holder spindle falls off too easily! Hotel has free wifi, I phoned reception for the 24 hour code and it was brought to me 1 minute later. That level of service was the norm. Definitely recommended.
