I arranged a charity event in aid of Prostrate Cancer at this hotel which took place on Friday 24th and Saturday the 25th January 2014. Due to the owners of this hotel Wendy and Neil Kirby, their amazing staff and beautiful hotel my event was a fantastic success. The meals both evenings were just delicious. Wendy,Neil and their staff are an absolute pleasure to deal with.Nothing is too much trouble all that they want is for you to enjoy your break/function and they go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. I took along my friend who is an international artist who is better than Danny La Rue, he provided the entertainment both evenings which Wendy and Neil did not mind and once again both the staff and themselves were faultless in their help and welcome. I cannot praise this hotel enough and before leaving yesterday booked my dates for my function January 2015 to raise monies for Prostrate Cancer UK.

From check in to check out nothing was too much trouble. Friendly and attentive reception, bar and waiting staff make the Langham the Stand Out Hotel in Eastbourne. The Superior room with 4 poster bed and sea views was wonderfully luxurious. Would highly recommend The Langham to anyone staying in Eastbourne.

We booked a surprise 40th Wedding Anniversary afternoon tea for our parents in December 2013. I cannot give enough praise for the manager Simon Brown and all of his staff who were involved in the organisation of our function. The afternoon tea was amazing and everything we wished for was met. Every single member of staff we encountered was helpful beyond our expectations and nothing was too much for them. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Langham Hotel for any function. Truly amazing. Thank you to all involved.

With two other couples we had a 3 day stay taking in the hotel's New Year's Eve celebrations.
We were all delighted with the rooms, service, meals and entertainment provided. T he staff at reception, restaurant, bar and room service were friendly , helpful and very attentive. Despite
the hotel being completely full over the 31st and 1st Jan. there was sufficient staff to ensure that every guest was attended to immediately and with efficiency.

Attended a family wake on a weekday afternoon with over 50 guests. The location was lovely, the staff were great and the refreshments were excellent. I was not the organiser but my mother and my aunt do visit this hotel for lunch and dinners. It was an excellent choice for such an event

No wonder this hotel has recently received a 4 star rating, very well deserved by the most friendly and contentious owners, Neil & Wendy Kirby, who together with their outstanding staff really go out of their way to ensure that everyone has the most enjoyable welcome and stay.
This trip was a 3 night celebration to bring in the New Year done with real style and panache.
It created an atmosphere of complete happiness and contentment among all the visitors and there was such a variety of entertainment for all including a visit to the excellent pantomime 'Aladdin' in the Devonshire Theatre. The highlight was an excellent firework display laid on by the owners for their guests on New Years Eve the only display from all the hotels and even the local council - well done to the Langham Hotel.

We have just returned from a three night stay and had a great time. This was our first time staying as a family in Eastbourne and we will definitely be returning. From the moment we arrived it felt like a home from home and the hotel well deserves its recently awarded four stars.
The staff really are amazing, genuinely friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure you enjoyed your stay. Neil the owner makes everyone feel welcome and Luigi in the restaurant was a massive hit with both of our children!
The rooms are well appointed and laid out and the attention to detail makes for a special stay. We stayed in a family room and it was spacious and importantly absolutely spotless - the housekeeping staff do a fantastic job.
The hotel is in a great location with lots to do nearby, however, if you experience some rain like we did, the hotel is in a fantastic location to relax in the lounge with a drink watching the world go by!
We would definitely recommend the hotel and hopefully we will be able to return soon.

My friends and I feel that this is the start of Christmas. We have been visiting the hotel each year before Christmas for many years now and each visit gets better. Neal and Wendy (the owners) and their attentive staff offer us a splendid two nights of excellent food and great entertainment. The food is of an excellent standard and the menu changes regularly. The hotel is at the end of the promenade so parking is easier than in town.
The rooms are very clean and warm and have TV and WiFi. The front rooms are facing the sea and have great views of the pier and sea front. The owners are upgrading parts of the building so you see improvements every year, not that much could be better!
We love the place and look forward to our next trip as soon as we have left.

We recently held a birthday party at this hotel which happened to fall on a Christmas Party night, we all stayed the night, (16 of us) and some stayed for a further 4 nights. The hotel staff could not do enough for us, Faye, Paul on reception,, Luigi who looked after us at the party night, and everyone else, they were so helpful and kind, and always cheerful. The food was really good at both the party night and the breakfasts. The rooms were clean and comfortable and a very good size, and my parents were in one of the four poster rooms which was even better, and the views were great. Neil Kirby certainly has his finger on the pulse and runs a good team. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, Sue R (Jersey)

We have attended several lunches with guest speakers at Ladies lunches as well as Jazz lunches, all which have been very good value for money & extremely interesting & entertaining.

The food & service has always been of a high standard when we have had lunch there & the owner, Neil Kirby is more than often mixing among guests with his friendly smile & charming wit .He is very much on the ball with his impeccable background in the London Hotel business, with the Grosvenor House Hotel among others.
He well deserves to attain a 4 star rating on his birthday just recently!
We are unable to rate rooms, sleep quality, & facilities, as we are local, but we were shown round the bedrooms when refurbishment of sea front bedrooms was completed & very impressed the excellent taste in decor...especially the four poster beds!

For the second year in a row my work have had our xmas do here. Both times I have very much enjoyed my food and the service is good but they definitely need a new dj! We had hoped they would have gotten someone else in this year but no its the same random (some very old) music with quite a miserable dj and his wife. I think if we intend going next we will check who the dj is before we book. Other than this one point a very lovely atmosphere and I would recommend

My husband and I enjoyed a second stay at The Langham in November, the last time we stayed there was about 3 years ago. The rooms are recently refurbished to very high standards and our room overlooked the ocean. Our stay was really great, the staff are so very helpful, friendly and efficient. The breakfast was lovely also.

I enjoyed a wonderful evening with a group of friends last night at the Langham Hotel. The owner and his staff looked after us extremely well. We were a party of 10 and we all enjoyed our dinner. The hospitality and service was excellent and although we were last to leave the restaurant we weren't rushed and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant was packed with diners and given how busy it was we were very well catered for. The food was served efficiently and on the whole we all enjoyed our food. The only slight criticism was the melon served to some of my friends as a starter which was hard and not sweet. However I don't blame them for that as it's difficult to get decent melon at this time of year. I personally would not put it on the menu.

This was booked as a special treat for my mums Birthday. From the moment I called to book, the hotel acted professional, courteous and attentive. Even asking if the booking was for a special occasion, of which they then ( at no additional cost ) made a beautiful hand iced cake complete with candle!
The cakes and sandwiches were delicious, the lovely Italian waiter very attentive ( much to the pleasure of my mum!) and the setting with lovely views of the sea and pier and promenade was the icing on the cake.
Very happy, will return.

We have been to this Hotel twice now and on both visits we have found it spotlessly clean, the staff are very well trained and friendly. It is also worth having a meal in the Restaurant, again the waiting staff are very efficient and friendly.
We are looking forward to our next visit.

We arrived on Thursday 15th November, and from the time we arrived till the time we left on Sunday 18th, the service, food, cleanliness, attention to detail was outstanding. We would recommend this hotel to anyone without hesitation, and deserves the fantastic reputation it has.

We have just returned from yet another wonderful stay at this great hotel. We had a great sea view room, it was very spacious and comfortable. The food is excellent with very friendly and attentive staff. The entertainment is always good, hence it is always well supported.
This is a well-run hotel. Which is not surprising, as the owner has run several large hotels in and around London. We will be rebooking again soon.

just got back from here with my parents we went as part of me mums 80th birthday she had a great time we all did. everything was good apart from just 1 little hiccup along the way which im sure was sorted i did mention it to 1 of the gentlemen on reception. i went up the clubs in the evening and 1 night got back to hotel and pressed the buzzer but the night porter waent there and the person i spoke to didnt understand what i was saying and he walked off i did tell them on reception what happened though. but that aside the stay here was very very good.

Just back from a 4 night break at the Langham with my mum and had a great stay..we had a spacious twin room at the back of the hotel which was nice and quiet..the bathroom was spacious but could do with updating.the room heater could be switched off when not needed and window opened for fresh air so we were not baked like some other hotels we've stayed in..the food in dining room was excellent but breakfast was slow as everything is served at the table even cereal and teas+coffee.Evening meals were presented well and delicious,as i don't eat naughty desserts they made me a fresh fruit platter every evening which was superb. i had an excellent stay, even the weather was good.Eastbourne has a lovely promenade on the level,a lovely pebble beach and a good selection of shops. This is an ideal spot to stay and use as a base to explore the area.i would stay here again with no hesitation.

Last weekend myself and a coach load of friends from Maesteg stayed here. To say it was fantastic was an understatement. The food was just delicious and so very well presented. The menu was varied for evening meal and great choices. Breakfast too was superb. The entertainment was excellent and all the staff particularly the restaurant and bar staff were extremely efficient and friendly. The hotel was spotless and towels in bathroom changed daily. The location is great not far from the pier and town and on a bus route. I loved every second of my stay and I know the rest of my companions agree with me. I would have preferred a sea view room but that is a minor thing. Our room and the hotel was warm and inviting.

Regards
Marilyn Jones , Maesteg.

Very comfortable hotel with friendly, smartly dressed and well-trained staff. Very good breakfast with waitress service. The hotel is well-positioned about 15 minutes walk from the pier in one direction and about 35 minutes to the Marina in the other. This is a well-run hotel - not surprising given that the owner ran a large London hotel. We only stayed one night but would definitely stay again if we come back to Eastbourne.
