This was our first visit to Eastborne and we stayed at Langhams , There were 116 people in our party who stayed for the weekend . The Hotel is faultless , food was exceptional and staff were very helpful and friendly. Very well organised and punctualy delivering a great service. The first evenings stay we all had a 3 course meal which was wonderful and not a set menu, 2nd night we had a 5 course meal which was outsanding and aquiverlent to mitchelling star quality and l must say that we have eaten in many a wonderful restaraunst in London and throughout kent . We had such a great time that we will be returning next year .I never had the pleasure of meeting Neil Kirby the owner and if he should read my comment l would like to take this oppertunity to say that your staff are a credit to you and a big well done and we look forward to next years stay .Lynn Cutts/Rutherford .

The stay at the Langham was very good. Rooms clean and cleaned each day. Clean towels every day.
Food was exceptional, almost A La Carte. At first we thought the portions were small, but with all the courses, it was more than enough to eat. Dining room staff were very friendly as were all staff through the hotel.
ENTERTAINMENT- we found was poor but taxi's cheap enough that you could go further into the town around the pier area. We spent one night at the Afton where we saw Mike Caverley who's entertainment we found different and it was entertaining.
All in all it was a good holiday.
Went to Hastings one day where we found plenty of places to eat, and also went to the Rye market which was pretty good.
All in all a good week.
A holiday really for older people where entertainment is concerned.

Although we weren't staying at the hotel, we booked the restaurant for dinner as we have a friend in the area we wanted to entertain.

We were using our taste card and Paul (Director of first impressions) on reception made us very welcome and our waiter James was very attentive. We were given a table with lovely sea views in the conservatory.

The food was first class. We all chose leg of lamb which was superb. Another table ordered the sea bass which looked like a whole fish.

Overall very positive experience which has encouraged me to write this review. We had dinner at a well known restaurant on Piccadilly in London the following night. The food was good but the staff could learn a lot from Paul and James when it comes to service. We will definitely be back.

I had been planning this for a long time to ensure it would be a celebration like no other for my wife and our children.I asked for flowers to be in our room on arrival and they were. I asked if we could have photos taken in the hotel " no problem" how about the ladies having their hair and makeup done the reply was "no problem" The owner and his staff were at hand if wanted and the answer was yes to all our requests Go again what do you think " See you at the New Year Party Neil and your Staff"

I took 30 people to this hotel for a 6 night bowls tour. Claire was our group organiser and she allocated 4 good local clubs to play. We arrived in several cars which we could park not far away. A Porter was on hand to help with luggage at the start and end of the stay. Everyone was happy with their rooms. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I was very impressed that the hotel bought a memory foam matress for one of my members who forgot to bring his one and would have had difficulty sleeping with his dodgy back. The evenings entertainment was a singer/keyboard player or bingo and a quiz. There were many visitors to this hotel when we were there including another bowls club and that may account for the sometimes slow service in the restaurant. Unfortunatly a few meals had to be returned as the meat was too tough. I trust this is not a regular feature and for all the good that i have reviewed i would come back again and reccommend this hotel.

This was my second visit for a long weekend and I can honestly say that this was one of the best hotels I have stayed in, I cannot believe it has only 3 stars. The appearance of both the interior and exterior are that of cleanliness. The staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble, the meals are top quality with great waiter service The rooms are spotless and furnished to a very high standard. With many rooms overlooking the sea it is an ideal place for either a short or long break. I will be recommending this hotel to all.

We stayed for weekend break whilst my husband and group were playing bowls. Excellent room staff were so helpful nothing too much trouble. They even put on good weather for us. The meals were good quality and tasty plenty of choice. The rooms were cleaned early in day to a very high standard. The décor in public rooms is very interesting high quality black and white prints well worth looking at. Good views out of front windows over the bay not too far to walk to pier. Afternoon tea is something to be believed helpful hint go for share if you are dining early as you will not finish.
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel this was my fourth trip and we will return again later this summer

Have just spent 6 nights half board on a bowls tour at the Langham Hotel, and although it was my first such visit, many people I know had been there before and spoke highly of the staff and facilities. I was not disappointed by my experience - a very good week. The staff that I encountered, from the domestic to restaurant to reception and management all appeared to want to please, and make one's stay an enjoyable one, and in that they succeeded. My room was very good, kept in pristine order with sea view, and most comfortable. The food, both breakfast and dinner, was very well presented, with a good choice, and served by young waiters and waitresses who all had a smile on their faces. I could not fault the establishment for the value of the visit. The only minor issue was lack of car parking as the car I travelled in had to be parked a couple of streets away.

My husband and I live in Eastbourne but had never been inside this hotel on the seafront. We went for a long walk in the sunshine and fancied a refreshment 'pit stop' so popped into The Langham. We ordered a jug of Pimms, which when it came was quite lovely and far exceeded our expectations. We shall be back!!!

Our Club stayed here for a 4 night bowls tour over the Bank Holiday. An excellent hotel in every aspect. The tour communication and organisation was exemplary. We had delicious food, great service and attention to detail, the staff were friendly, helpful and polite, the rooms were spotless and beautifully furnished. The position of the Hotel with many seaview rooms was fantastic. We recommend any bowls club to stay here for a great tour of Eastbourne. We will be back again.

Although this hotel is a little way from the town center, don't let this put you off, it is right on the seafront with secure parking. Being a little way from the Pier means it is quiet at night, a bonus point.
I booked this hotel for a reunion weekend and although they had a Masonic Ladies Night going on at the same time, from the attention we received you would never have known it. All the staff were first rate, very helpful, polite and gave service with a smile! We were never rushed out of the dining room after the meals, which were excellent value and nicely presented. I know the proprietor, Neil, has spent a lot of time and money bringing his hotel up-to-scratch and, boy does it show. I am looking forward to returning with another group here later this year.

The Langham is a gem, nice location and really good personal service. My wife and I feel so lucky that we were able to have our wedding reception here - it was a trouble free experience which everyone enjoyed. Lovely food, reasonably priced wines and staff who were really caring and kind - even going out to get baby necessities for guests who had forgotten them. Neil and Wendy the owners could not have been more helpful and we have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone else looking for a venue in Eastbourne.

We had an unexpected stay here for 1 night and the service was wonderful. We arrived with nothing as it wasn't a planned stay. The reception were so helpful they gave us toothbrush / toothpaste and they even supplied me with a phone charger as my phone needed charged. Nothing was too much bother to any of the staff. Evening meal and breakfast was very enjoyable and the service was 5 star. We would recommend this hotel it is a 3 star hotel with 5 star service. Thankyou to everyone who looked after us.

This is my 2nd visit to The Langham Hotel and it won't be my last! We arrived a little earlier than the 3pm check in but the very helpful receptionist let us access our room. I'd requested a quiet room and was offered a very clean, comfortable and cosy room on the 2nd floor at the back of the hotel. The only issue was that when we returned to our room at 10.15pm, we could hear the music from a private function being held at the hotel. Fortunately this ended at 11pm otherwise I would not have been impressed!

Breakfast in the conservatory was lovely. The porridge was delicious! The restaurant staff were very professional and prompt. The hotel is about a 10/15 minute stroll to the Town Centre along the sea front and offers great value for money.

This hotel is a great place to stay in Eastbourne.

I was attending a weekend function there & the kindness of the staff, coupled with their efficiency & attention to detail made the whole experience really enjoyable.

The hotel is on the end of a historic parade of wedding cake, sugar iced hotels past the pier at the opposite end of the seafront from the Grand Hotel. It has astonishing, sweeping views of the beach, the pier & the pretty sailing boats from the sailing club.
The conservatory & terrace that line the seafront are always thronging with customers and when you stay there you realise why:- The service and desire to make their customers happy is very genuine.

A special thanks to handsome Luigi who managed the restaurant with a keen eye for detail & the comfort of the guests.

On arrival we had a room at the back of the hotel that was very good but on the small side. The next day we changed to a pre booked sea, view room that was somewhat a bit of a let down. we were on the corner of the hotel which gave the room an unusual shape, the shower / bathroom was quite on the tight side and on showering the windows steamed up therefore the sea view was no longer. The extractor fan was insufficient.
It would be better if the rooms had duvets instead of blankets. All in all it was disappointing to have paid more for the sea view room

have recently stayed at the hotel with Majestic coaches from Devon. could not fault anything. We were attending a conference and the staff changed our meal times to allow us to get to our venue, as there were two other groups staying there , this was not an easy thing. the staff were cheerful and helpful at all times. the food was far better than expected for what we paid. Excellant all round.

The hotel gave an overnight stay in a four poster, seaview room as a prize in a raffle supporting a local children's hospice. I was the fortunate winner of this prize.
We persuaded a couple of friends to join us and others decided to meet up with us for a meal on the Saturday evening somewhere in Eastbourne.
When we saw the range of food and very affordable prices available at the Langham's own restaurant, we were left with no option. All 10 of us ate at the Langham and all agreed it was high quality food and great value.
We only live 18 miles inland from Eastbourne and have agreed that we will all be regular visitors to the Langham both as guests and non- resident diners from now onwards. Look at the website for some excellent value 'special offer deals' too.
