My wife and I recently went on a 5 day coach holiday with a large party of friends. Upon arrival at the hotel we were immediately struck by its smart outward appearance. We were quickly checked in and given our room keys. Our luggage followed soon after. Our room looked out over the rear of the building, but this was not important as the room itself was well appointed and appeared to be newly decorated. We later learned that this 80 bedroom hotel had recently been completely refurbished, and it showed.
The catering was to a high standard with choice to suit all tastes. The restaurant staff were smartly uniformed, well trained and efficient. Hot food was served hot on hot plates, unlike some places we have stayed. Portions were of suitable sizes for us senior citizens.
One of the function suites was reserved exclusively for our party and we enjoyed the musical entertainment provided.
We enjoyed comfortable nights sleep in a very quiet enviroment.
We would recommend this hotel.

We arranged a long weekend with a family lunch on the Saturday to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. From the initial enquiry at the Hotel with Simon everything went so smoothly and straight forward with arranging our lunch for 15 with a menu choice, flowers and balloons and a cake. Tea and coffee were arranged on arrival for our guests in the lounge. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. The meal was served hot and tasty. Our family has commented on its quality.

We recently spent a weekend at the Langham with friends. None of us were sure what to expect but all four of us were very pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by the owner who could not have been more friendly and obliging. His attitude to his clients was excellent and this seems to be the way he trains his staff - everyone was so friendly and helpful. We had invited some other friends to dine with us that evening and the dinner (for ten) was magnificent. There was an excellent choice on the menu - both a la carte and table d'hote. The difficulty was making a selection. The food was well cooked, well presented and well served. We slept soundly in a double room overlooking the sea (our friends even had a four poster bed). The room was spotless and the bathroom had recently been re-furbished. We even decided to stay on for the following evening dinner. All in all a superb inexpensive weekend at a superb hotel. A pity that the weather, although bright, was so cold!

As an Eastbourne resident, we often pop into their bar for a light lunch on Sundays.
Apart from great food, the service is superb.
Last week we popped in and was warmly greeted by Christopher at the main entrance. Nice chat and he directed us into the lounge where he made us feel comfortable and made sure the waitresses knew we had just arrived. What fabulous customer service!
We chose a mixture of sandwiches, scones and tea which was all served promptly and were top class.
You can understand why local people go back time and time again to this Hotel. Good quality and old fashioned service is what we all crave, and here you get it - and much more.

We were met by friendly, hard-working staff on both occasions. who helped with luggage and made us welcome. The service continued to be excellent throughout our stays with superb meals and spotlessly clean rooms . We were spoilt with sea views both times to celebrate our Golden Wedding firstly as a couple, then with our friends and acquaintances of a Masonic Lodge.
The hotel is of a high standard overall, which, in itself invites visitors to further stays.
We would certainly use the hotel again and certainly recommend it to others.

Just returned from a long weekend at the Langham for an event with friends. On arrival, reception was great and there was someone on hand to help with bags and provide parking info. Room was at the back, but was refurbished and beautiful. Really clean with great linens and a lovely shower room. Food excellent all weekend, tasty and plentiful. The staff were all so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. All in all, a superb establishment with excellent attention to detail. So good in fact that friends booked a further reception there next year ! Langham look out "Dave" and the crew will be back !

We had a lovely weekend at this hotel. It was a Ladies weekend so we were with a large group of people and the hotel coped admirably. Nice room with fabulous sea view. Excellent hot food served every time. Very efficient and friendly staff. Worth much more that a 3 star rating.

Booked this hotel the day before my parents stay and the hotel matched the online price. They were delighted with the hotel. The room was clean, welcoming and had beautiful views. The staff were attentive without being fussy and were all friendly throughout their stay. We ate in the restaurant one night and wished we had eaten there again. Both my parents were impressed with the breakfast service and the freshness of the food. Overall this was a good experience for them, we nearly didn't make the trip due to an unexpected hospital stay. We were pleased we did as this did much to revive my mum's flagging health.

We stay at the Langham for four nights last week on a Majestic tour. This hotel is so much nicer than the usual 'coach tour' hotel. Looking at some of the other photos on the website our room was not one of the better rooms but it was still very nice. It was a good size, nicely decorated, warm and comfortable and most important, spotlessly clean. There was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, plenty of tea and coffee making supplies and a good quality digital TV. The shower room was small but the shower worked well and again everything very clean.
The food was well cooked and tasty and beautifully presented. As is the norm a number of the waiting staff were europeans but they all spoke good English and were very efficient, friendly and helpful.

staff first class made us feel at home and wellcome as soon as you walk in the door the rooms are so clean and tidy the views from the seafront are brethtaking the breakfast is first class the staff are thair to help and look after you 24/7 we have looked at most of the hotels in eastbourne and none will match the langham we will always go back at least 4 times a year

Lovely rooms, sea view so we were lucky! Our first trip to Eastbourne and we were pleasantly surprised......a return is being scheduled. This hotel is on the seafront. The dinner was excellent bearing in mind there were two functions being catered for on the same evening. Prompt efficient service. Desserts to die for!!
However, where this hotel deserves its five stars is the quality of their front of house staff. Nothing was too much trouble....front the young porter to the reception staff. All were pleasant, obliging, and extremely helpful. We will definitely return.

Just had afternoon tea in the Langham consvervatory. It was for a 96th birthday treat. It was delicious, with a selection of sandwiches, melt in the mouth scones with jam and clotted cream, and a selection of mouthwatering cakes. Very pleasant surroundings. The staff were very attentive, and made a fuss of the "birthday girl". Very good value for money. Highly recommended.

Although at this time of the year Eastbourne is normally bathed in sunshine, the weather was only just above freezing. Consequently, our time spent within the hotel was elongated, I don't believe staff in any hotel could be more pleasant, efficient and helpful. The hotel and room was spotlessly clean and warm - so much so I actually turned down the heating, opened a large window and just soaked up the sea view and watched fishing boats and others pass. The food, for a hotel was incredible value, so much so that we decided to re-visit at a later date solely for an evening meal (as we don't live that far away) cheaper than most Eastbourne restaurants, better service and better meal. Breakfast was ample and unlike many, had several alternatives to the Full English - can reccomend the kippers! If you are considering a stay at the Langham, you will certainly not be disappointed.

Three of us stayed for four nights in March. We nada very good room with super seafront views. The food was very good and service friendly in all parts of the hotel. There is a small bar with occasional entertainment. Most of the guests were elderly and we remarked on our son being the only child in the hotel, although it was still off season. Overall we felt the hotel offered excellent value for money and was well positioned for local amenities. We would be happy to make a second visit.

My husband & I stayed at The Langham in March, we had a nice room with a sea view (would recommend a room with a sea view as some friends had views at the rear of the hotel & didn't have such a good room or view). The breakfasts were very good (great selection to choose from) and the staff were very polite & helpful.

We had booked an Easter break in Eastbourne with Travelstyle staying at the Fairlands Hotel, but after a traumatic first night we moved hotel and managed to book into The Langham. When I rang them they had only one standard room left at £72 per night including breakfast. we could have phoned round (thank the lord for smartphones) to find a cheaper hotel but decided to book this one. I explained to them what had happened and was told to come straight away and they would look after us. This was about 9.00am and the room wouldn't be ready til 2.30pm they offered us breakfast and coffee and offered to store our luggage. We then went to the shopping area as it would be closed on the Easter Sunday We had a very enjoyable tea at the Victorian tea rooms on the Pier and then went back to the Langham at about 2.00pm. Not only was our room ready but our bags were taken to our room.
Not the biggest of rooms but larger than at Fairlands, clean, bright decor, high ceilings fab bathroom with bath and shower over with ample hot water.
As it was very cold we decided to eat in the hotel's restaurant and booked a table. We ate a very nice meal 2 course for £13.50. Afterwards we went to the bar where the entertainme,nt was a man singing and playing the organ a few were dancing.,
Breakfast was served in the conservatory on the front of the hotel overlooking the beach - cooked to order no self service.
We then took the bus to Brighton as we had missed the Travelstyle day trip the day before. You get the 12 or 12A from the pier and get a £10 family daysaver to get on and off buses day. I am told that you can use a pensioner pass on this bus but alas do not qualify yet.
All in all a great stay at the Langham, nice room lovely staff who couldn't do enough,would definitley go there again if in the area.,Oh forgot to mention free WIFI.

Having visited this hotel over the Easter Weekend and our first visit to Eastbourne I can honestly say we had a fantastic time. The hotel staff are polite, helpful and could not be faulted. The hotel is clean and comfortable. We stayed in room 116 which overlooked the sea and was very comfortable with a double bed and new bathroom suite which consisted of a walk in shower. The price is reasonable for a 3 star hotel and we would certainly recommend a visit.

We organised a party at the hotel, stayed overnight and enjoyed breakfast and the Jazz Lunch on Easter Sunday. The staff, without exception were efficient, friendly and very helpful. Our bedroom was beautifully decorated, with a lovely shower room and seaview. The hotel offers excellent service, location and food at good prices and nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be going back!

We only stayed overnight after attending a party in the hotel. Excellent location right on the front. Lovely seaview room. Newly decorated and nice and clean. Plenty of staff on duty. I would certainly return again for a longer stay. My only criticism would be the cost of the breakfast (which was included in our stay, so it wasn't an issue). The cost of a full-English breakfast was almost £10 and the portion was very small, which made it worse because it was served on an oblong plate. Only one rasher of bacon. However, it was well cooked and piping hot but I would have preferred to have seen more of it.

The evening event was very good and the service was excellent. Serving approx 100 guests the food arrived on time and was hot and delicious. The bar was well staffed with little delay in getting a drink and the prices were reasonable. Midnight supper after the event was a real treat.
A good nights sleep followed by a brisk walk along the sea front and we were ready for breakfast.

We have just had another overnight stay, this time with friends. Great sea view room with no noise as the windows were very good. Very quiet and comfortable. Evening meal was very good delicious fish, as was the breakfast. Staff very helpful and pleasant. They do monthly literary lunches and I have one booked for next month. Cannot wait.

The Valentine's Gala Weekend was a great success. Lovely room overlooking the pier, great service, fantastic meal and professional entertainment. Guests up and dancing all night. We both enjoyed the evening and meeting new people. Thank you.

because 26 years ago I worked at the Langham as a chambermaid and have often driven past wondering what it was like inside. Well, that changed the night my husband and I stopped at the Langham. The decor is nice and relaxing, the rooms are now nice and spacious. The breakfast was lovely; and they cooked a fantastic poached egg - find them so hard to do at home! The staff were nice and friendly, thank you Nick for allowing me to have a wander around the hotel being nostalgic about what we did and how we did it!
