It's a nice short walk into the Castle itself and you can walk the grounds for free. The audio guide was included with the admission fee and provided some interesting context of the site from Roman times through the present.

Small castle ruins. Free to walk around the outer areas. Carpark nearby. Cafe outside but it was closed when we were there. It only opens certain days.

Great history....interesting snippets of the past displayed on easy to read boards dotted about. Lots of benches...great for sketching. Super walks around the grounds. Lovely cafes within walking distance. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful....on a beautiful sunny day! The outer bit is free. Inner bit paying. Toilets near the carpark. Not a huge amount to see but a very interesting place nevertheless. The town looks interesting too!!
