An extremely interesting place that you should definitely visit. The fortress, originally built by the Romans, has survived to this day. The fortress was originally located on the seashore, but the site was drained and after the 1500s it lost its strategic importance. I especially recommend visiting the exhibition inside the castle, which describes the mind-boggling story of the four sieges of Pevensey Castle.
