When my husband and I are on a short break to Eastbourne,we always visit this wonderful restaurant with my sister and her husband, it makes our weekend. Excellent quality food, wonderful and friendly staff waiting on us. We've visited so many times that they recognise us now. It's a little gem in Eastbourne.

I went tonight with my wife and parents. As always the staff were attentive, the food was good, and the prices very reasonable. A great selection of pizza, pasta, meat and fish courses. The restaurant was very busy but it didn't slow service. If you prefer a quieter atmosphere their sister restaurant is situated two doors down and offers a more formal experience.

Annual gathering of local Bowling Cub members . Excellent , efficient , friendly service enjoyed by all particularly with the extra benefit of a 10% discount on the wine on all the tables separately met. Thanks for a lovely evening. One of the first groups in and last out. see you next year

Last night (24 August 2017) in our short break to Eatbourne. Decided to book a table for the evening by phone in the afternoon and whilst booking a table for 8 pm heard in the background a laugh from the restaurant staff. When we arrived slightly earlier, the place was packed to the doors so we had to wait for a short while before being seated. When ordering our dishes we asked the waiter why was it so busy and he replied that everybody booked a table for 7.30 pm except one couple who booked for 8 pm. which was us.
Excellent service with great Italian dishes and a nice bottle of Italian white wine. 10% off bill with our View Hotel passport vouchers. One of the best Italian restaurants we have visited outside of Italy. Overall a great evening and well worth a visit.

Well, we were back in Eastbourne and just wanted a straightforward meal on Sunday evening In the dim recesses of our minds we remembered a previous meal at Pomodoro e Mozzerella. There is a well established formula for success, authentic Italian both food and service. Pizza wonderfully thin and flavoursome and a delightful, beautifully presented salad. Some good Sicilian wine to wash it down and a fair price. This is definitely a bankable place to eat. The busy restaurant says it all,

Having only eaten next door at their sister restaurant, La Locanda del Duca, we thought we would tried Pomodoro. We were not disappointed. From the same kitchen, we enjoyed good food, from a more Pizzeria type menu, but with the same great taste and quality that you expect from next door. Great for an alternative, quick, less formal, less expensive meal. Still a good atmosphere as next door, more noisy, as it is larger but the staff are still as outstanding. Would thoroughly recommend

I love a really good authentic pizza. This was our second visit. The margarita made with buffalo mozzarella is sublime especially topped with Parma ham and as good as the last one! We will be visiting again soon

We had some concerns that any restaurant in Eastbourne would be for old people only. This restaurant put all our fears to bed. The service was lovely. Always attentive but not pushy. Friendly and efficient. The food was lovely; an extensive menu and well prepared. Tasty dished and good portions.
All in all a very enjoyable meal. I recommend this restaurant for the whole experience.

We have just had the best Italian meal for a long while. Didn’t book but they fitted us in on a very busy night! My husband had the liver which he said was the best he had ever had! I had avocado and salmon to start which was massive! Couldn’t finish my tagliatelle, but it was amazing. Wish we had an Italian like this near where we live. It was excellent!

We had dinner here during our visit to Eastbourne and it was one of the best italian food I've ever had. The melanzane was absolutely delicious and would strongly recommend it to anyone. The service was excellent and we had a wonderful time here. The food was reasonably priced. There was a crowd which explains the popularity of this restaurant.

This was, by far, the best Italian food I have tasted outside of Italy. The restaurant was extremely busy when we arrived for our 7.30 Saturday night booking, customers were queuing to get in. The staff are all friendly and efficient and it didn't take too long for everyone to be seated. There is a good selection of wine on offer, all the meals and deserts are made on the premises; and, they even have home made cassata ice cream. All reasonably priced. Big and small groups, couples and families are all welcome in this traditional lively restaurant.

Visited sister restaurant to La Locanda Del Duca which is located next door and clearly shares in terms of quality food (shares kitchen too !) . Extensive menu with more of a emphasis upon family friendly pizza and pasta dishes.
If wanting a high quality Italian meal with excellent friendly service the restaurant is from our experience on a level with sister restaurant and would recommend a visit.

We celebrated my birthday here with our family (of nine) They always look after us well and are very good with the grandchildren. Service was good, food was excellent and overall a 1st class experience. We will return.

Lorraine and I had been trying to book somewhere to celebrate an anniversary and most of the hotels we looked at were really not interested. We rang the restaurant and enquired if they were able to take a booking of 25, no problem was their reply!

They finally seated 28 of us on Sunday afternoon, the food was superb, the service was excellent and the whole experience one which everybody enjoyed, the food all arrived at the same time, which was exceptional as it was ordered a la carte. Not one person in our party had anything negative to say about the meal.Drinks and food are reasoanbly priced. I had the Sardines and Sausage in saffron sauce, absolutely delicious.
Give them a try it's well worth it!

The service was very prompt and the waiters appeared to be genuine Italians rather than from Eastern Europe. I went for one of my favourite dishes, Saltimbocca alla Romana which was fine. However, where the restaurant scored was the quality and presentation of its desserts: I had an excellent Cassata.

Stayed in Eastbourne during the air show week. A friend of ours recommended the restaurant to us and after having dined there the first night of our stay, we went there 4 nights in a row. Every single dish was perfect and the service outstanding. Special thanks to Pedro and Miguel from "the Brazilians".

Needed to book something last minute on a Friday for a party of 6 (including 2 kids). They were able to fit us in, advising us to arrive before their busiest period which worked well for us. A really lovely big, bright airy restaurant, with lots of very professional looking staff scurrying about. The service in particular was impressive, there always seemed to be someone there just when you needed them.
The menu was a bit daunting as the list of dishes was a lot longer than you might find in an average Italian restaurant, but everything we ordered was delicious, and there was a real buzz about the place. It definitely seemed to be popular with the locals, and the layout seemed to work especially well for larger groups.
