What a delight, we stumbled upon the Marina which is very much like those found around the Mediterranean. Loads of boats, flats and restaurants. It's quite a long walk from the town centre but we felt it had been worth it. It really is very charming.

We cycled here from Beachy Head so it was a good distance. We weren't sure what to expect but it was a pleasant surprise. very interesting to see all the boats and the apartments around it. I think it seemed to be lacking an atmosphere but not sure how to change that. Plenty of places to have lunch or coffee and I would come back again out of season as I think it would be too busy in high season for me. Very interesting to see the harbour and locks but there is a high density of houses which does make it seem a bit like a huge housing estate that just happens to have a marina

Eastbourne marina, boasts many cafe & restaurants as well as views of the marina. The marina leads on to the coast & lovely to blow the cobwebs away.

So much to see and to do. Beautifully kept.
We are here a lot and visit the restaurants along the harbour, we have also enjoyed the boat trips on several occasions, and walked around most of the harbour too. Free Parking, and lots of shops on the site too if you fancy a bit of Saturday afternoon shopping before a relaxing beer by the marina!

Over the years we've gone here for a drink, thai food, buying arty farty things (though that shop has sadly gone now). Or, like this week, just for a walk and to take in the sea. There's a great selection of restaurants, pubs , bars, take aways, cinema - all sorts - it's great all year round.

Lovely autumn day for a walk around the harbour, the weather was good and there are lots of restaurants and coffee shops here, the view isn't bad either!

We didn't stay here long as although we love boats and the harbour was interesting we would've want to live in such a close knit environment, everything and everyone on top of you, it was too clausterphobic! A different way of life but not for us.

No matter the weather (although it's at its best in the sun), come along here for a walk around the lovely harbour and explore the shops and cafes. Not 5 star because it is not always clean and is missing something.

Didn't even realise that Eastbourne had a marina, but wow, so glad we found it. Great buzz, lovely views and great restaurants!

It’s a lovely place with a fantastic view, bit basic in terms of restaurants and things to do there but it’s still worth a visit to see the gorgeus boats and strangely the big fish that swim around the Marina.

Our visit on a hot summer day was very good. The place is clean and friendly with lot's of places to eat and drink. There is a marina trip by boat for a hour, but check times and day to see if they are running. Cinema is near and bus stops for trips into Eastbourne. Park your car here and get thebus into Eastbourne in the peak summer tgimes a lot easier than trying to park.

Often overlooked by visitors but loved by locals, this marina with it's array or pretty yachts and motor cruisers moored up alongside wonderful restaurants and cafe bars. You could be forgiven in thinking you were in the mediterranean.

To the east of Eastbourne Town Centre is Sovereign Harbour Marina which was opened in 1993 in an area previously known as The Crumbles. The marina is enormous with several basins, a lock system for the outer harbour and a network of lift bridges controlling the flow of vessels and pedestrians within the whole development.

Close to the development is Martello Tower No.66 and is one of the many that are dotted along the South East coast of England. The Sovereign marina complex is a place that is a must see whilst in the area and an attractive place in itself but the lock and lift bridge network is also worth spending some time to observe.

Our family members visited this marina over a couple of days in August. Splendid weather, lots of healthy walks, lots to see and do, in a clean, friendly and relaxing area. An impressive marina with a mass amount of different maritime vessels. Popped into the Yacht Club too for excellent friendly social, food and vista (I think that you don't have to be a member). Ample parking space.
We'll be back.
