We visited on a really hot day and it was like being abroad with all the yachts in the marina and people eating and drinking along the waterfront. The place was buzzing with people even on a weekday afternoon. We walked around across various bridges that opened to let the boats pass through. I was expecting to find a few more shops but it is mainly restaurants. The free car park was a bonus.

Love it here, all on the flat with wheelchair access. Lovely walks all around with eateries especially Pablos, the Harbour Grill and di Litos.

Good tour of the harbour. Guide is quite hilarious. Enjoyed the 30 mins of it although would’ve loved a boat ride that went off to the sea.

We took the Dotto train here and the last stop is in the middle of a very ordinary housing complex which doesn't give a good first impression especially to someone who is not a fan of modern marina developments. However once we got to the marina and had a walk around on a hot sunny day it is hard not to be impressed by the scale of the development and number of craft. There are plenty places to eat with cuisines that will suit most diners. We ate at two of them and they were both excellent and not stupidly expensive. There seem to be boat trips around the marina / harbour.

Enjoyed watching all the boats, yachts and even the RNLI boat coming/going into harbour via the twin locks.
Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops and a shopping centre behind

I cycle past the harbour every day and often pop into one of the harbour eateries for a quick coffee.
A great place to watch the world pass by and admire the brautiful boats moored there.
Take a wander to the locks and see how the harbour works, its very interesting
Lovely atmosphere and restaurant smells.. close your eyes and you could be anywhere in the world especially on a hot afternoon..

Sovereign Harbour spreads over a large area with housing, shops and restaurants and of course boats. The lock is a magnet for people wanting to watch the boats going out into the channel. There is a RNLI station which is kept busy especially this time of year. Good free parking and just a short walk to Cineworld and a selection of major shops at the retail centre

Nice setting, boats to look at, plus a trip round the harbour on a little boat of you want to purchase a trip. Lots of walkway, plus coffee shops, pubs and restaurants. De Leitos is the best restaurant, reasonably priced, casual and exceptional service.

I can imagine that this place might now have as much appeal in the rain but we had lovely weather and it was so nice to sit and see the boats in the sunshine. Lovely. Best bit I've seen of Eastbourne so far.

We often stop off here when in the Eastbourne area, usually take a walk around the harbour to the beach area then back in at the other end and watch the boats coming and going, We have never done the harbour boat tour so on this visit we decided to do the trip to get a view from a different angle, always have the camera with me so always a nice selection of photos at the end of the visit.

Large free car park, but was very busy getting in due to shoppers heading to Asda. Lots of boats (unsurprisingly), very few shops, but lots of restaurants and bars. Most have outside seating, all very crowded on such a hot day. Ate in harvested and had a great lunch. Boat trips available but we had just missed it so didn't do.

Very nice place.. next door to shopping centre.
A variety of eating places which over ĺlook the boats. Feels like your abroad with all the alfresco style dining.
Qite pricey but worth it.

Found this by talking to the locals when visited Eastbourne, easy to get to and lovely for a walk around and a boat trip before having a bite to eat. Plenty of eating houses to choose from.

I’m quite a regular here. I often meet with my Girl friends for a catch up, cocktails and Food.

The Sovereign Harbour offers and abundance of restaurants and bars giving a lot of choice dependent on what you fancy from fish and chips, Thai and Italian to Burgers and mixed grills.

You cannot fault the Harbour it offers beautiful views looking out at the yachts and properties overlooking the waterfront.

I think I’ve eaten in all of the main restaurants and cannot fault any of them. The staff have always been polite and welcoming and the food has always been delicious.

There is a lot of seating outside but it goes very quickly during the warm weather periods which is perfectly normal anywhere you go!

Would definitely recommend!

This is Eastbourne's hidden gem, consisting of a cinema complex, gym, shopping outlets, have a drink or a meal in one of the many varied choice of restaurants, most of them enjoying harbour views. Come and enjoy the nautical atmosphere wandering around one of the Uk's largest marinas, watch the unusual 'double lock' in action all day with boats of all kinds coming and going, no two days are the same. All this within five minutes walk from the sea & uncrowded beaches....plenty of car parking available.

Di Lieto's Coffee Lounge , most seating is outside, very good view of harbor. Nice cup of coffee, but spoiled by people smoking around us, two other couples changed tables because of this. I did inquire as to why there was not a no smoking area, but was told they only had a small area and could not enforce No Smoking. Why? Shame we will not be back.

Went down to the Harbour with friends to have a meal while showing them the sights.
Went into one restaurant who struggled to allocate us a table even though it was virtually empty due to being six of us.
Decided later to go for coffee in another who stated they were closing at 8pm yet when we went past an hour later they still had people sitting down.
Finally went into the Simply Italian who did not really want to serve us just drinks and had to ask their manager if this was ok wow hard work guys.
Next time we will go elsewhere as it seemed far to much effort to get decent service so much for customer care.

What better way to spend your afternoon relaxing in one of the great restaurants along the waterfront whilst taking in the lovely calming views of the yachts in the harbour.

Although sailing is my sport, I've never accessed this Marina. It has every amenity for yachties like water, power, fuel etc., with a variety of restaurants ashore. Marina lock gates open/close every 20 minutes. Also, less than a 5-minute walk is the Sovereign Shopping Centre with a Cinema complex, Chemist, Superstore, Fashion and a "nicky nacky" store. You can also catch a bus from this centre to the beautiful town of Eastbourne.

We spent an late afternoon here during the week. There’s a large supermarket, and big retail park close by. A good choice of restaurants, with food for all tastes, with a good backdrop of the marina.
