We didn't actually arrive by boat, but rented an apartment overlooking the part of the marina near where the fishing boats berth. Plenty of activity to watch, and nicely laid out walks around the basins and out to the sea locks. Quite a few of the pleasure boats actually move now and then, unlike some marinas. The pontoons are well maintained, and a garbage boat goes around every morning scooping up any rubbish.

Berthing fees depend on length, and are very reasonable compared with other marinas we have seen. The location is ideal for people wanting to hop over the Channel.

Altogether a most successful project using what apparently used to be just a shingle bit of beach. Interesting to note that the trams which used to run across the area were shipped to East Devon and now form the Seaton Tramway, which we have been on.

Really lovely place to visit. Best time around 4.30 by the locks when the fishing boats are coming back in.
The outer harbour has 2 seals that have been around for a couple of years now and are great to watch.

It’s a nice marina with lots of bars and places to eat.
We did a boat trip around the harbours and gave a good view and a different prospective.
It’s probability about half hour walk from pier but there is also bus or small train to get you there.

It's a nice modern complex with a pretty marina and blocks of luxury flat around. It was sunny when we visited so it looked idyllic. The area between the sea wall and the marina locks really stinks. Not sure if it's fish or seaweed or something else. It's also interesting to see the Martello Tower just outside the marina.

Great mix of restaurants and things to do, absolutely amazing on a sunny day. Simply Italian and the Thai Marina are my favourite restaurants but there are others catering for all tastes - and several places for a coffee or a beer. You can sit outside at most of the restaurants and many hold special music nights. Combine these with a boat trip around the harbour or walk to the locks, beach or some shopping at TK max, Next etc! Great place to visit.

Have visited here on numerous occasion. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Can get a bit busy when ‘the sun’ appears. Only downside is the DOG MESS that is about. It’s a shame that the dog owners don’t feel it’s their responsibility to clean up after their pets. !!!!!!

We spent a very enjoyable time watching the boats being lifted and launched and choosing one to buy with a lottery win .

My partner and I love going for walks in the sun or after dinner of an evening and the harbour is the perfect place.

Lots of sun and protected from the wind by the blocks of flats. Nice and peaceful and great for walking around. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants if you want to stop off.

Went for lunch at the Italian followed by a lovely walk right round the marina and sea front followed by a cup of tea and cake. Really lovely location and well maintained with easy walking. Our friend is disabled and managed easily. Good choice of food and lots to see, including seals and cormorants. Lots of free parking. Well worth a visit.

You can have a short boat tour around the harbour. Walking and watching the boats coming and going is nice. This area has many different places to eat. You can sit outside, have a drink and just relax. Just behind the harbour is a retail park

My visit to the North Harbour and the village coincided with some amazing weather and on a hot, sunny day, this could be Puerto Banus except the bars and restaurants are cheaper here. You can either spend half an hour having a leisurely stroll round admiring the yachts and sneaking a look at the supercars in the car parks below the properties, or just sit outside one of the many eateries or bars and enjoy people watching. The nearby superstores are also worth a visit.

A brilliant place when the weather is good. The harbour offers a mixture of restaurants and a bar with a brilliant view! It has many walkways around the location so you can really adventure round looking at the boats and the beaches.

It was a strange marina because it was all broken up into small sections of marina so you couldn't walk around the complete marina in one go. Kept coming to dead ends. It didn't help that we were soaking wet and the marina was a lot further out of Eastbourne than we had expected.. Also only one or two restaurants were open.

Really lovely aspect, with lots of nice and inexpensive eateries. Spotlessly clean - with the sun shining you fell that you're in the Med

We always end a visit to Eastbourne with a drop in here . Plenty of restaurants , an attractive walk around the Marina , shopping at the retail park or just filling up with cheap petrol at the Asda filling station. Always handy as free parking and toilets before setting off home !

We walked down to the Harbour and were able to watch boats going into the loch to get into the marina. It is a very long walk but very interesting and you can catch a bus back to Eastbourne.

Four of us had a coffee outside one of the many restaurants. we then walked around the harbour and spent some time watching boats coming and going through the locks. We then had a great lunch in "Simply Italian" before going home. Lots of large and small boats in a lovely setting.
