Stayed here in a relative's boat and so glad that we did. We were in the West basin and near to the excellent facilities. All was well maintained and clean although a refurb is on the cards.
There are many restaurants although avoid the Harvester as it is filthy. There are many walks around the whole marina and it is interesting watching the boats arrive and leave, as well as the range of boats moored

We went to the Marina following the coast, a trip of around 3,5 km from our hotel. We did not know quite what to expect but were just querious. But the Marina were certainly worth a visit. The sailing entry to the marina was through a sluice because of the huge difference between high tide and low tide on the Southcoast of England (app. 5 m). Behind the sluice there was 2 large dock and a couple of smaller ones. The docks were filled up with both big yachts and smaller boats. Multible storage houses were surruonding the docks containing flats in various sizes and a selection of restaurants. We chose a Thailand restaunt, which were a good choice. Excellent food at a reasonable prices.

A lovely place we always visit when in the south. So picturesque and relaxing seeing all of the boats come in and out of the harbour and watching the fish bellow the waters edge.

Sovereign Harbour has a continental feel to the quayside shops and restaurants area. Sadly that is but a small part and too much is just moorings next to residential frontages. An opportunity missed in this development, but that was long ago in planning stages!
Lots of interest to watch around the lock giving access to the sea, subject to tides. There is a maze of walkways to explore, and many different mooring lagoons. People watching would gain 5-stars, especially watching people on boats and vice versa.
The beach area outside the lagoons is shingle, as this area used to be The Crumbles, famed for shingle extraction for building and other purposes through the sixties and seventies.
Shopping superstores plus multiplex cinema just behind the main quay area, and good overall parking offered.

It is a very relaxing place, 15mn driving from Beachy Head; cars are not authorized; all sorts of luxury boats; the place is really quiet and offers nice restaurants; we had dinner at the Marina Thai, really good!

This is nice for sitting outside the Restaurants for a relaxing Meal or Drink. Especially on a Sunny Day. There's a Land Train, 'The Dotto' which can take you. It's a 3 Mile Walk from the Burlington Hotel, each way, along the Coast Path if you wish to Walk.

This marina is well worth visiting. It has some very decent vessels moored up to view whilst taking a stroll through the marina or indeed having a meal or a cup of tea etc. In one of the very attractive cafe areas built alongside this buitiful harbour. I enjoyed the views and atmosphere for approximately Two hours. Parking is free which is an added bonus

Lovely place to spend a nice bright afternoon. Plenty of activity between the many restaurants, boat watching (some fabulous yachts here), and watching the bridge go up and down as the boats enter or leave the harbour. Lots of what look like massive carp swimming around, great for grandchildren/children to watch.
