When we first turned the corner into the marina, we thought we were in the Med. Plenty of places to eat surrounded by the water and the boats. We always love going there. And it is free parking!

You need a car to access this area. A bit like Brighton Marina but with more restaurants - good if you are a foody person. From what I can remember a nice reasonably priced Chinese restaurant on two floors and some lovely gift/card shops and nautical themed shops that offer times of the tides. Plenty of parking and another retail outlet very nearby.

We love going to The Waterfront for a walk and a coffee or lunch. The pathways around the harbour are very accessible for my husband's wheelchair. Lots of blue badge parking spaces in the car park which can be busy at weekends and special events. There is a public accessible toilet and most of the cafes have one. There is outside seating at each cafe which we often find better with the wheelchair or scooter. We enjoy sitting watching the world go by in the Eastbourne sunshine.

Lovely place to walk around enjoying the view of the boats, nearby are some restaurants including a nice harvester, lovely in the summer to sit outside and watch the boats

The harbour is very nice, with various places to eat and drink, the highlight for me would be the Italian.

Although we had a nice day out , on arrival at the marina we were under whelmed by what was there it didnt meet all of the hype. The shops and the places to eat where your everyday places to eat.
It was your typical marina but having said that is nice to look round.

Sovereign Harbour doesn't have as much to see and do as Brighton Marina. There's fewer shops and mainly geared for the nautical trade.
However, the best bit has to be looking in envy at the huge boats there, particularly if one is going out or coming in, the lock being a great place to observe it all.
There are a few places to eat so you can sit out in the sun on a warm day and watch the world go by.
Parking is free but the location is a few miles from Eastbourne centre so slightly inconvenient , though the Dotto train can get you part way there if on foot.
We've been a few times and it's been ok but downsides are crowded walkways towards the eating places, lack of variety of restaurants and more dog poo than you'd expect in such a place.
I"d really rate as 'good' rather than 'very good' but not average.

Enjoyable, relaxing, good selection of food. Some very reasonable restaurants but can always really save by shopping at Asda behind the marina, and then sitting along the extensive walkways round the moorings and having a picnic. Always activity on the water, and admiring the boats. Free car parking a bonus.

We can recommend sovereign harbour to all ages there is plenty to do with bars and restaurants and the little harbour boat rode makes an interesting trip
The walk all around the harbour is relaxing and you can either walk around the flat surface of the harbour along the path by the beach or along the shingle beach
The people are pretty friendly
There is also a dotto train which runs from the harbour to the pier and to the lifeboat station quite a ride but relaxing.
There are a lot of older generation visitors to eastbourne but youngsters dont be put off by that there is lots for youngsters and for families to enjoy also for twenty to forty year olds
Love eastbourne and we come here often
Thanks mike

Definitely worth a visit. Went there last minute as couldn't get what we wanted in Brighton. The marina is a very interesting and tranquil place. You could be on the med. A mixture if restaurants with something for everyone and every budget. Recommend the rib ride. Was good value for money and great fun. Will definitely be returning.

Our boat trip was delayed, by an hour, so we had the opportunity to sit and enjoy the views over the marina. There is a lovely, friendly and happy atmosphere around, creating a fantastic ambiance. Well worth a visit, just to experience this.

Visited Sovereign Harbour to eat in one of the many restaurants situated along the harbour. Its so wonderful sitting and eating your evening meal while watching the water ripple as the boats and yachts come into the harbour. I'll bring a cardie or a jacket, as even during the summer months a cool breeze can blow across the harbour.

Came here to visit in laws and must say we were blown away by the beauty of the place. Cycled from harbour to Eastbourne pier and back and it was also a delight. We ate out at a few restaurants in the harbour and they were good but we will be visiting again in the summer and will sample more of them when we go. A pleasure of a place to visit wether that be for a leisurely stroll of something to do of a night, definitely worth a visit.

BIG marina complex but fairly quiet. Always lots going on and close to Eastbourne.
Rented a three storey house in The Piazza which was very comfortable - only room on ground floor was kitchen which was a bit odd.
All amenities within easy walk including a restauarant complex - some good, some not so (Harvester), Asda and Cineworld.
Would come back

We are really fortunate to live in this lovely place, it's like being permanently on holiday! The harbour is a great place to visit to see lots of nice boats especially in summer with all the visiting boats in and out. There is a choice of good reasonable priced restaurants overlooking the inner harbour where you can sit outside and watch the world go by. At weekends in summer there is usually some music happening. If you are visiting Eastbourne make sure you come to Sovereign Harbour.
