Lots to see and enjoy just walking round the area. Boat rides, lots of different places to have a meal and drinks. Very nice shops to browse and collect souvenirs. Or just watching the boats coming and going. Lovely day out.

I love the sea and boats so wherever I am in the country a marina or harbour is a magnate and my wife is dragged along to see whatever is on offer. There are several OK restaurants and the usual array of shops and I drop in if we need to go shopping near by but Brighton, just down the coast is far superior.

On an Sunny autumnal day the perfect setting to dine al fresco at the waterside. Good choice of restaurants with extensive menus. Time to sit and watch the world go by. A very good shop to walk around containing a good selection of unusual quality gift ideas. Free parking.

Just come back from a fabulous walk along the front to the Sovereign Harbour. We started at Princes Park and walked back again. We stopped at a cafe in the harbour and sat outside for some breakfast . Lovely !

Walking around the marina harbour is a joy. The variety of boats is so interesting. We go onto the beach and look out at people sailing, wind-surfing, surf-kiting, jet-skiing, kayaking etc and then walk around to the lock gates and see the lock mechanism working and the people and boats passing through. The variety of cafes and restaurants means that there is something for everyone. We particularly like De-Lito's with great food, great service and value for money.

Lovely ambience around the harbour. It was a beautiful day when we were there so we did a lovely circular walk around the harbour. There is a very small selection of shops, nothing much to write home about but to be honest we didn't go there to shop. Glad we visited and would recommend going there.

Our second visit .Walked to this place from Eastbourne last year-it's a longer walk than anything locals tell you but nice walk. Lovely marina. Second visit made to find food. Plenty on offer & free parking.

Having not visited Eastbourne for years, we drove along to have a look at the marina - what a find! It turned out to be a really hot day and after running to buy some suncream, we sat and watched all the comings and goings with the boats. We did the boat tour around the harbour which was excellent and learned a lot. We then visited one of the quayside cafés for lunch and both felt that it would be a wonderful place to live. Well done the architects, a great place with lots to do and see. The marina is free to visit and walk around with lots to see for all the family. There are a plethora of cafés, restaurants and ice cream parlours and boat and people watching is a good game !

Good mix of bars and restaurants, and lots of events at weekends. Good price range - from more expensive Thai, through to good Indian, mid-priced meditteranean and fish and chips! Great to chill and watch boats sailing through.

Visited here several times lovely clean place - Excellent Indian Restaurant, The Ganges 5* with a beautiful setting overlooking the Marina. There is a lively pub which occasionally have live groups. Plenty of Parking. There is also a Thai, Italian and a Harvester Restaurant so you won't go hungry. You can also have a Boat trip around the Marina.

Lovely place to sit in the sunshine and have a drink or two. Or even go for a meal any time of day. Now I'm a dog lover, but I wish people with dogs would pick up there mess.

Take some time to watch the boats going through the double locks. There is always something going on there. The Eastbourne lifeboat is based in the marina.

With toilets, shops, cafe's, restaurants and a large free car park you can while away many an hour or two.

Could any interesting place. It is a shame however that a lot of the boats moored there, have weed around their waterline. Cleary a sign that they don't get taken out to sea much. Presumably more of a status than an actual sea going adventure!

Lots of places to eat. Very cosmopolitan. It's nice to just walk around and see all the nice yachts. You can just sit and people watch, have lunch, a drink or just while away time. We tried the Harvested pub, which was very popular but there was a 40 minute wait for a table so we ate at one of the smaller establishments of which there are several to choose from.

When the marina is busy & the sun is out it's a vibrant & enjoyable place to be, but when it's cold/wet & dead it's a bore
